Horrible troll, friend. Gil has been talking about unifying the belts before you even knew who Rock Lockhold was.

You gentlemen can believe he'd get crushed like a shiny tin can in the Ultimate if you'd like, but to say he's ducking based on negotiations out of his control is silly.

Melendez talks about being happy in Strikeforce because he knows he has no other option but to say he is happy there. He has talked before about wanting to move to UFC and nothing happens about it and nothing can. Gilbert is in a shitty position, he has been used as part of a negotiation so is now stuck doing whats best for two companies (Zuffa and Showtime) rather than what is best for his career. Is getting paid well for a Strikeforce guy but can't be as good as that UFC money. Hopefully Zuffa do bring over some UFC 155ers (guys like Cerrone, Pettis and Guida) to give him something to do.

Yeah, one of the biggest fallacies propagated in MMA today. Show me any evidence that Gil had the opportunity to go to the UFC. Gil was used as a bargaining chip between Showtime and Zuffa to keep Strikeforce alive, and was paid handsomely for it. Not his fault that Dana's "big plans" promised at the time never came to fruition.

Funny no one says Luke Rockhold is ducking anyone when he's in the exact same boat.
Gil the Fraud's Strikeforce contract expired before Zuffa purchased the company. He had his chance and chose to stay in the small pond rather than jump into the ocean. Now he has to deal with the consequences and spend his prime years fighting the Bam Bam Healy's of the world.

What UFC fighter gets a quarter million for being beat up and gifted a decision?

Where has Sapp been? Last loss was in June. I've been waiting to watch new videos of him in random countries where he hasn't been TKOed yet.

Swollen face from all those kicks and punches. She should have covered her face in cupcake frosting.
Cake-to-face smushing ceases being cute after 1 year old. And, yes, this includes weddings. Unless someone cheated on someone with the bridesmaid and they're getting powerbombed/DDTed into the cake.... then it's cool and in fact should be encouraged.

It's the version made in Taiwan.
The best bootlegs are the ones where people stand up in front of the camera and start screaming at their mean ass kids.

I would ask Boogie on that other forum but it appears to be down or even gone now.

And yeah, Gray Diaz vs Lauzon should be a very entertaining fight, worthy of the UFC numbered 155.

SPIKE TV AND K-1, THE WORLD’S PREMIER KICKBOXING PROMOTION AGREE TO MULTI-PLATFORM PARTNERSHIP FOR 2012 AND 2013
New York, NY, August 20, 2012 – Spike TV and K-1, the world's premier kickboxing organization, have agreed to a strategic partnership that will begin this fall with live fights streamed on Spike.com beginning Saturday, September 8 at the U.S. World Grand Prix Championships in Los Angeles. There will be a total of four events that will be streamed live in 2012. In 2013, the K-1 events will move from Spike.com to Spike TV to coincide with the network’s extensive coverage of Bellator Fighting Championships.
“We are thrilled to be in business with the world’s preeminent kickboxing organization,” said Jon Slusser, Senior Vice President, Sports and Multiplatform Events, Spike TV. “Spike has the most passionate and knowledgeable fans of combat sports and we are confident that they will enjoy the high-action of K-1, which serves as the perfect complement to our Bellator coverage next year.”
"K-1 is excited to join forces with Spike TV, a powerful and highly experienced cable network known nationally for its combat sports programming, presenting our live K-1 events," said Doug Kaplan, CEO, K-1. "Spike is the perfect television home and stage to introduce our K-1 warriors and the fast-paced, aggressive style of K-1 fighting to fight fans across America."
Spike.com’s 2012 coverage will include unprecedented access to K-1 events, from live streaming of the weigh-ins the day before the bouts, to locker room interviews, to live coverage of every fight on the card, including all the prelims.
The four K-1 events in 2012 include:
September 8 - Los Angeles - U.S. Grand Prix Championship
October 14 - Tokyo, Japan - World Grand Prix Final
December 8 - Athens, Greece - MAX Final
December 26 - New York - World Grand Prix Final
The addition of K-1 to Spike TV’s lineup next year further establishes the network as the premier television destination for combat sports. Spike TV will debut Bellator Fighting Championships in January 2013 with a weekly live fight card featuring some of the best rising stars in the mixed martial arts world.
K-1 is the largest kickboxing promotion in history. Since 1993, K-1 has presented professional live martial arts events in 38 countries, featuring the best and most accomplished athletes in the sport.
World Grand Prix Champions of K-1 include Alistair Overeem, Mark Hunt, Ernesto Hoost, Peter Aerts, Remy Bonjasky and Semmy Schilt. K-1 returned to the world stage on May 26, 2012 in Madrid, Spain, drawing a packed stadium and hundreds of thousands of views on the K-1 Live Stream.

This would have been amazing news about a year ago, now I don't know what to think of it. Rick Roufus on Spike in 2012 could legit kill kickboxing in the states. Hopefully they've cleaned their act up by 2013? Smh.

Don't forget Tony Lopez and Silverback Seth

When Ronda Rousey beat Meisha Tate in March, I was so taken with her performance that I suggested she could end up on pound-for-pound lists alongside the men of MMA. Well, after another stellar effort I see no reason to back away from that.

Do you?

This is a special fighter, a terrific athlete, someone with all the intangibles. She's super-competitive. She's mean. She's honest and cocky and everything great fighters should be.

(Edgar) has already mentioned dropping to featherweight, so I am really hoping that he does it so that these rumours end. He is very welcome in the weight class, so that we can expell him back to LW, or to BW.

Aldo with the burn. Aldo should go up to 155# and beat up decision machine bendo.
