I know we're all over the 151 controversy but let me axe you all this - Matt Mitrione's opponent, Broughton, couldn't fight at UFC on FX 5 October 5th. That's more than a month away. Why doesn't Mitrione have to fight a replacement fighter that night? Why does he get his fight moved back to 155? Now I know the true answer is that Jones was carrying 151 and its not that important for Meathead to be on his particular card (although the remainder of the card was on wobbly legs to begin with) but there's still the fact that UFC on FX 5 attendees are getting fucked.

Also, I love ya Cote but this sounds weird ... "I'm going to fight Alessio Sakara. I think it's a great match-up for me, it's going to be a bangfest."

Eric Kelly to fight at OneFC "Rise of Kings" - dayum that guy fights on every OneFC card.

On this edition of No Holds Barred, host Eddie Goldman speaks with American Top Team MMA fighter and two-time ADCC world grappling champion Jeff Monson.

His next fight is scheduled for the November 15 M-1 Global card in St. Petersburg, Russia, against Alexander Emelianenko.

In his most recent MMA fight, on the June 21 M-1 Global card, also in St. Petersburg, Russia, he defeated Denis Komkin by first-round submission with a north-south choke. For his ring entrance, he electrified the audience by coming out to the national anthem of the U.S.S.R.

The impact of this was instant and unforgettable, as everyone in attendance, including Russian president Vladimir Putin, rose to their feet.

We spoke with Jeff Monson by phone Wednesday night about this event and the message he was trying to send. We then went into a broader discussion about his views on capitalism, anarchism, and communism, including the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Saying fighters are just "a cog in the machine" and "realistically just wage slaves", we focused in on the situation involving the cancellation of UFC 151 and the treatment of UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones. We also discussed the prospects for fighters developing some sort of union or association, and much more.

If an event has a history of being streamed or televised I'll put it in the schedule in the first post of the thread. I miss one every so often, though. Pretty sure all those are local cards.

True and I appreciate the listings and you taking the time to do it, I was just hoping most of those promoters have gone the way of free on Facebook and other forms. Actually that has been one of the most pleasant things about MMA these days is the free and legal availability of so many undercards and fullcards. I mean local business is only so much and no one wants to pay for some low rent shithouse local badmma, but I will watch it and deal with sponsor ads, its a decent trade off. Also some events get "last minute" streams too.

That said the Brazilian event sounded like amazing BadMMA. I mean the main event is headlined with two people it's losing records.

How does KOTC keep going? Is it that except playing low rent casinos and never trying to expand and be a low rent territory? Cause they have stayed around for a respectable amount of time.

Reading this thread after being inactive for 2 days is scary.

But in local news: Rich Franklin is apparently making a stop in Taiwan soon for media work on his fight in Macau. I'm waiting for more details, but it'd be nice to see the dude in person.

I blame Timmay for that. Monson is a 5'9" grappler and Timmay took him to decision.

Wow, what a day. Woke up at 4 to do a brutal hike up 1,200 ft hill on broken railroad tracks, then spent a few hours at the beach. Was ready to have some food and take a nap and my car wouldn't start. No lights, no power, no starter sound. It was just dead. Got a tow across the island and borrowed my friend's car to get home. Out $120 for the tow cuz it was too far for insurance to cover.

No more "Open Attack" shit? Thank god. It wasn't as much confusing as it was disruptive to the flow of the fight and/or just a glorified Mortal Kombat style "FINISH HIM!" announcement.

I wonder if we'll get Timmy vs. Arlovski V now...
