Remember, this was just like how Mu La Flaga supposedly died in Gundam SEED.

We all knew what happened to him.

I'm still surprised we never got a Colony Laser/Doomsday weapon. The Dainsleif are very cool in a low-key sort of way as opposed to the flashy final weapons of Gundam shows of old.

My fear was that after the MA showed up, beam weapons would appear everywhere, but they went in the opposite direction. In a world where armor has developed to shield itself from energy weapons and explosive damage, the only thing that seems to work against anything is pure propulsion driven high speed physical projectiles. It's kinda hilarious that they're fighting with what are effectively giant mecha crossbows, but it's also so brutal and satisfying to watch!

The ending to this episode felt like it ripped my guts out. I had to laugh at myself as to how emotional this show makes me. It's the game of thrones effect I guess.

MA is trash though as almost all the ships will had that beam reflection armor on crack.

With Dainsleif+ Many ships, MA will falls like popcorn lol.

Actually this is a good point. Like, why did they even need Gundams to fight MAs? If Dainsleifs were so effective, why didn't they just line up a bunch of mobile suits armed with them to shoot all the MAs down? Why bother with melee at all? Lol.

Well, isn't MA is soo good in the past because they don't have any of that plating tech in the past?

Now is far into the future so it is not surprising to see that age and technology advancement had finally tear down MA.

Also, i remember MA being so dangerous is more on their special objective which is too kill as many human as possible right? So there is a reason for why they can have hard moment on pinpointing MA attack.

Well the nanolaminate armor really doesn't seem super amazing at blocking a direct beam attack. Ride survived being hit, but his suit was jacked up because of it. Plus the MA have those littpe helper robots that can fepair them indefinitely, so a dainsleif attack would have to destroy the MA and the helpers all at once, while also avoiding being repeatedly hit by beam attacks and having your mobile suit/ship torn apart to make more helpers.

I dunno... there were a grand total of ZERO mobile suits destroyed by the MA due to the super beam canon. It was all flash and property damage. The only way the MA was owning MSs was by direct melee attacks. The problem in the fight wasn't that they were getting wiped too quickly. It was that none of them could do enough damage to the MA with conventional weaponry. A dainsleif volley would pin the MA down pretty quickly, and you can't really repair stuff when the shells are still impaled through the MA and stuck there.

Yeah, watching that scene again Ride's suit wasn't really damaged by the beam, but his gun got caught in the blast and exploded. So I imagine that during the war the issue was creating enough Dainsleif, and having enough mobile suits in order to handle them. The Dainsleif may have been a later weapon after a huge portion of the population were wiped out by the ma.

We really should get a Calamity War OVA.

I would love to see Calamity War Arc with Agnika Kaeru as the MC lol.^^

Considering the Dainsleif takes 2 mobile suits to operate it, its slow, cumbersome and takes too long to load it up.

A MA and its underlings are probably able to overcome it with its agile speed and sheer numbers.

Lot of people forget those mini bastards are small and able to dodge it.

the agnika kaeiru card has been great value A+++ pick macky

I felt like there was a missing scene after that. Macky had the face of "I have done fucked up" while staring at the Dainslef volley fire directed at him. Next scene, he faces off with Galigali without a single scratch.

Speaking of which, sorry if this was answered on the show, but why are the Dainsleif considered forbidden weaponry? They don't leave lasting impact on the environment like Nuclear weapons...and they're certainly nowhere near as destructive as creating Black Holes.

I think it's because the weapon randomly shoots everywhere in one direction and has the potential to hit civilian ships. It's just too devastating and you can't control it.

Maybe mcgillis still have some backup fleet. Maybe Mercenaries from his montaque company. That hitler looking guy is gonna come soon to save the day.

Yeah, The Chocolate man fucked up, he literally planned every step along the way but he forgot he would have to deal with someone with years of experience like Rustal?
Even if we remove Rustal from the equation, The Kujan fleet is notoriously loyal to their House. They wouldn't have bent over just because McDogal showed up with a pimped out suit.

McG should've accounted for the remaining houses not immediately declaring him God-Almighty and made contingencies.

Instead, his plan wound up looking like this:

- Backstab
- Get Bael
- ????
- PROFIT!!

It sounds like you guys are talking about ep 45 but the latest I see on Crunchyroll is 44? Didn't read last pages carefully since it looks like spoilers!

Daisuki also has it up.

And man, so much for 'rustal is actually the good guyz maaan' bullshit.

Planting a warcrime and then using that to try to justify warcrime x 300 (which is dumb in of itself).

Scummiest guy on the show, makes that mafia guy look like a peach in comparison.

Choco may be the worst planner but at this point morally he deserves to win.

It's a shame they evilfyied rusty so much, last episode I didn't really think either side deserved to win or lose.

And damn Mika, fucking up against a mid tier character like julietta.

Reminder that people who support Rustal indirectly support Iok and the murder of Shino.

I agree. Anyone supporting Rustal is committing a sin.

They should support Iok-sama directly. That old man is nothing but a hindrance to Iok-sama's Greatness™.

Julietta will be granted special place in House of Kujan for saving his life.

Man, that ending. I shared in Shino's pain as he just cursed out loud and just boosted to his own demise. Incredibly frustrating, their one shot and now the entirety of tekkadan is just sitting in the middle of a dansleif death zone.

They're all super dead. Fucking RIP.

Really question why the Flarous Gundam was even introduced to have it get bodied in its first real fight and only show off how awesome it could be once. Barely got a good look at the thing. Then again my gripe with IBO in general is the lack of the other gundams for showing Barbatos ripping and tearing 95% of the time.

-eh- at least Shino went out like a boss.

Did he though? I was totally expecting him to hit his shot and just get mauled by dansleifs, but not even. He did nothing other than break his love interest's heart and get obliterated shortly afterwards. Tragic in the Shakespearean sense rather than sad.

I am legitimately expecting the battle to be over in the next two episodes and then 3 straight episodes of aftermath.
