It was kinda frustrating to not be able to check our Status and the bonuses given by our equipment on the demo... Oh well. 4 weeks to go until the game is out.
Also, I guess I won't be able to convince a friend to join me on MH3U: he's full of preconceived ideas about the game, and doesn't seem to want to give it a try (which, honestly, is driving me nuts, but there's nothing I can do about it). He'd rather spend his playing time on "The War Z" (despite everything surrounding said game, and despite the fact that he recognizes this game to be frustrating as hell). Oh well, I can still convince his wife-to-be :3
Also : The Lagombi is a rabbit ?!
Played the demo, and yes its fun.
But (of course)
1. no lock on?
2. the boss monsters are either crafty or the ai is annoying as hell, because they keep fight near the entrance to the zone and when they attack i either knock them in the other zone or i end up running in the other zone.
3.those cats keep getting in my way, do my slices hurt them?
i met some wild cats and i cant kill those they keep going under ground.
4.dual wield does that power up really do more dmg?
5.how can i tell the im close to killing the big bad other than his icon turning red?

3DS démo here, will look to the Wii U one later:
My god, I get my ass kicked (again!). "easy" demo that tell me to hunt a Lagi...thing. I found out a polar elefant of some kind and he kills me. My bullet doesn't even seems to hurt him!
Hints? I played the badass sniper rifle.
Controls are really hard, but eventually will get used to it of course.
I played the demo on both the Wii U and the 3DS. I don't get it, the game seems really boring and slow to me. Maybe I'm playing it wrong but, I couldn't get myself into this game.

I'm not sure, but I think if you delete a game from your sd card, it'll delete your save data. So be careful.I don't have enough room on my SD card...damn...I am pretty sure you can but do you guys know if I delete Crimson Shroud, can I re download it later with no charge and do I have to do something special with the save,or if I delete the Etrian Odyssey 4 demo before the game comes out will it see my save so I can keep playing from where I left out in the demo...?
IDK I dont get whats so special about these games, tried both demos last night. Just dont see any appeal. Why are these so popular?

Tried the great sword, sure it's slow but I liked how it forced me to time my attack and I killed that monster faster than the dual sword.
The more I play that demo, the more I like Monster Hunter![]()
Downloaded both versions.
My first time playing a MH game.
Demos explains fuck all.
I have no fucking clue how to play this correctly.
So yeah, so far I'm hating this unless I can learn how to play.

Played the demo yesterday beated giant rabbit (don't remember the name)
Then i fought the second one (hard one) thats looks like a Legiacrus (however it's spelled)
And then i remembered what i hated from MHtri on Wii (Played for like 400h +) , Freaking underwater combat !
Also, area are pretty much the same ?
So yeah i think i'l skip this one ...
Really a shame that MH4 is only on 3DS i would have enjoyed a brand new MH game but i don't like claw controlunless it is compatible with the analog add-on for 3ds ?
I may have been doing it wrong too. But like for example, the "easy" monster you have to track down, I kept hitting and hitting and hitting and hitting, then he just ran to a different section of the map.
Like, I love, LOVE, the souls series, but this did nothing for me. Was I doing it wrong?
DIGITAL MANUAL PEOPLE.
EXPLAINS ALL THE WEAPON CONTROLS, BASIC CONTROLS, BASIC GAMEPLAY.
sheesh
I approve.
Really, some people have a point: this demo explains nothing at all, not even hinting at what to do, how to do it, and where to find explanations about the controls and the purpose of the game. You can't be less user-friendly than that.
I'm not new to MH but moving around on the 3DS and manipulating the camera is a pain. At least on the PSP I could claw the camera. I cannot take out the damn bunny for the life of me cause of it.
I think I might just wait til I get a WiiU or something and get it on that.
Press home button, the middle button is the manual, its there for every game, I don't see how it isn't known by people who own a 3DS?

did you try the virtual d-pad? I am very comfortable with that. Then i tried the monster focus and that works really well too. The game would benefit from a much more free controlling camera, but sometimes you just need to work with what you're given with and try not to rely on having a perfectly centered camera all the time (at least thats how i adjusted)

After finishing the demo again a few times on the Wii U all I'm wondering is:
-Why are the L and R buttons used and the ZL and ZR left without any function. It's so fucking uncomfortable in comparison and makes no sense.
-Why is the frame rate so damn choppy? It's actually annoying because it feels worse.
Because of those two reasons I'm actually playing better on the 3DS, even without a second analog stick/pad. The fuck?
That's what I tried, the virtual D-pad. The time I spent trying to adjust the camera left me open to it's ice slide attack which always puts it on my blind side so its hard to dodge too.
This game really needs a camera lock on. Not an attack lock on or anything, but just a goddamn camera lock on.
And I wish I could change direction when attack.
