I'm at work and can't see - what kind of quest is it to get the Zelda stuff?
HR Zinogre, Kirin, Rajang.
n3DS does this too, no idea about n3DS XL, though. Just use the circle pad pro, or any grip.

The XL is nice and rounded, although I have accidentally powered off the console while in the middle of a heated hunt because of the new power button placement.

Which one gives the Ace tickets?
Pink Rathian and Azure Rathalos (both frenzy), also Gravios/Black gravios.
So I just did some rough math using Gaijin Hunter's damage calculator...
Cera: 1536 raw - 20% affinity = 304 true damage. 304 * 1.44 purple sharness = 438 true damage.
Skycleaver: 1728 raw - 30% affinity = 333 true damage. 333 * 1.32 white sharpness = 440 true damage. Skycleaver gets 12 Ice true damage which is negligible to begin with, and even moreso on GS, so I'm not going to bother calculating that in. We can just assume it will do slightly more damage on monsters weak to Ice.
Cera comes with 1 slot and no extra defense while Skycleaver has no slots and +20 defense.
At the end, I think it will come down to the player's personal preference on how much they want to sharpen. If you whetstone at Blue sharpness then Cera is probably better for you as a personal preference. If you are okay with whacking monsters with Blue sharpness, then Skycleaver is probably the better personal preference as it will last much longer and still do 400 true damage versus Cera's 365 (at blue sharpness).

Shit, this month's DLC is out? Is the Zelda quest G rank only?
So although I will main Hunting Horn, I feel like the lower level hunting horns aren't really worth it since the songs kind of suck, at least until I can get Attack L and Defense L. If I stick with HH, I figured maybe the Rathian HH would be alright.
Should I switch to something else for now? What's a relatively good weapon to make, that's not too hard to use at HR2? Looking for a decent GS, Hammer, or Switch Axe, I guess?

I grinded single player to 10* to get that damn HR Oroshi Kirin last night. Now that its unlock i only see silver Los. Someone, please dont tell me i have top unlock them one by one to get to kirin. According to kiranico, its like 10 down the list.
Nope, you can get good stuff by yourself.
You need to do the quests the cat in the assembly gives you. They're all titled "The Hero and the *Blank*"

It's the final quest from the chain the cat in the Assembly gives you. So you're gonna have to talk to the cat and at the very least do his quests. I know a bunch of other quests require HR7 to unlock offline, so you may or may not need that as well.

I totally missed all of this dlc stuff. No matter, I'm still stuck on beating up Zin for skyemeralds. Once I finish I plan to move on with finishing G2 keys. Join up!

So I've played about 30 hours and still haven't been able to do much of anything with Palicoes.
With the DLC I have a red Palicoe and have no idea how to set or use an additional one.
do I set it as a first stringer? I see my main Palicoes is deployed but there is a space for a "sub" underneath...I have the red under first stringer.....any help please

Select the first menu point "Deploy/Train"
Choose the first stringer you want to take with you by pressing up/down
Set it to 'Deploy' pressing left/right to shuffle through the options

You have to set up some First stringers
Then you go to the Deploy/train and set one of them to Deploy and they will show up as a sub palico
The skills that your Main Palico will be influenced by your first stringers (For example 2 Fighter cats will give him a demon horn, 3, 4, 5 cats will also give him even better fighting cat skills)
Right now I have 5 bomb cats as first stringers and its very fun
