I get this message when I use Athenas ASS. Any help? I run as admin too and nothing. Which is weird this used to work. And every time I try the .exe disappears so I have to delete and unzip again.

i think i'm gonna switch to Dual Blades cus i NEVER use the SnS's shield... any tips for a good early high rank set for that?

Sounds like that's whathappening so I'll just no push it and use Dex. Even though it doesnt have as many bells and whistles as ASS's set builder does

Which is better, Critical Eye+3 or Repeat Offender (the chain critical one) for DBs? I can make another version of a custom set I just completed that replaces Critical Eye+3 with Repeat Offender and I'm not sure which one I should use.
CE+3 is a consistent 30% bonus affinity while repeat offender only brings you up to 30% bonus with enough hits. If you can only get one, CE+3 is the far better choice, though they do stack.

I built the brachy ex set for no real reason other than a non gemmed bombardier/handicraft set could be cool for my non hellbalde blast weapons. Charm running, I get a dope as artillery tali. Sweet, I an partner that with a charge blade, I can max my ko potential.
Then I learn my best option is a dam teo CB which dozens of runs later, I have yet to find a worn CB. It's such a bummer to have everything but the one I need.

Are invites received if you're in the hub, or once you get to the hub or during a mission?

You get the message when you get back to the hub.
I only wish I could see what their lobby is before leaving my own. One random I friended back when farming hellblade hardcore has abused the fuck out of that invite. Trying to get me to help him farm something conatantly which at this point in my game time, I really don't want to do.

You can check who is in at least.
Repeat offender is the better choice for DB since you hit so much in so little time. It's a 10 point skill that gives you 25% affinity after your first hit and 30% after your fifth. A single slingshot move already hits like 10 times or so. Crit eye +3 is a 20 point skill so you can see why repeat offender suits DB the best.
So me, a friend, and a random was doing some Seregios farming, when as we were coming back from a hunt, this other random came in and went straight to selecting a different quest... He lucky that I requested to do one of the key quests for HR3 beforehand, and the one he picked was such. Continue being a ass when he was telling my friend, the room's host, to hurry it up as he was setting up for the hunt.<.<
Well anyway that one more key quest down. Think I just need to do the capture Glavenus one before the urgent.

Ask other people about charms and you'll learn they most likely have the charm you want while they don't need it.

These days I start my own rooms and put 'turns' in the title. It's pretty clear that if you've just turned up, it's not your turn.
We had one guy yesterday turn up to a hyper agnak room and start begging everyone to help him with hyper gypceros. After one hunt (which he carted twice in) we gave it a go as it would only take 5 minutes, but he obviously didn't get what he wanted as he posted it again immediately afterwards with 'pls pls pls'. I suggested he go start a specific room or join a 'turns' room but he didn't want to be waiting for players- he had just clicked on any room with three high-HR people already in it. After that I kicked him, which is only the third time I've ever done it.
The other thing that annoys me is when a player runs into a room, sees there isn't a quest and a bunch of high-hr hunters standing around, and just posts something, thinking they are just waiting for a quest. At that point in the game not everyone has every quest they might want to run and they are usually talking about who has access to what, I've often posted a quest in a 'turns' room on behalf of someone else after a brief chat. I wish people would briefly check the last couple of posts in the chat log upon joining.

Hm just had a connection lost. It was a Glavenus run and one guy disconnected close to the end, and soon after I must had disconnected, but thankfully Glavenus was just about dead.
Once again I am so glad that my MH4U days of losing connection quite a few times are over through lol, as this is only the second time I lost connection since when the game came out.

Haha yeah it's sometimes like they think they are playing with bots instead of real humans that also have their own quests to do.
The thing I'm most annoyed by is people playing in HR without having the actual experience for HR. Like hello the village quests are there for a reason, this isn't CoD or Battlefield where the singleplayer is just filler.
That was in MH4 tho, don't know if that's the case here too.

People who join a room can't see the chat history of that room.
Also, people in the hub, people in quest A, and people in quest B all have different chat sections; they don't see each other's messages.
I often host Turns room too, I think they're pretty much the best option if you're not trying to farm a specific monster/quest.
In my turns room, I always go clockwise in the player list so that I don't get lost. Also, other people will understand this system easier; it seems a lot of hunters join "Turns" room without knowing the principle. So I created a "Hi. We do turns clockwise." shout-out that I send just in case, everytime someone enters.
With this system, a player joining might get his turn immediately or after just one quest (due to how player spots on the bottom screen fill in/out as players join or leave).
I put "Round-robin Quest Picks" as one of the four pre-set messages shown on the second page of lobby information (though it seems a LOT of people never look at it). Finally, I send my Guild Card and request people's ones, as you will be racking up unity points fast in Turns rooms, which give access to rare materials (Gems, Rubies etc.).

It was a great hunt- ilium inflicted poison on Kuasha and, despite the dramatic music on top of the mountain, it just flopped out of the air in front of us and the victory tune started. I burst out laughing.

I'm totally broke so I've joined to farm whatever - I just need money! I have like 3 weapons that need upgrading to max + my armour... that's like over 300,000z
That feeling when you run up to the second monster in a room while paging through your items and noticing you chose the gathering instead of the hunting item preset back at the hub. Barely any pots, no whetstones, no charms, ... and no dung bombs. D'OH.
Out of interest, I didn't fail the quest immediately. The ensuing gangbang between Rathalos, me, and Rathian was kinda hectic and hilarious. Thanks to habitually emptying the blue box and packing five mega potions (and it being LR ofc) I could face tank the damage. Still, what a nasty surprise. However, LR Rathalos armor set, get. All's well that ends well. Hooray!
