Non-IAP status will maintain for good, the gatcha rates in this game really suck compared to games like Puzzle & Dragons.

Seeing Reddit, a lot of people are posting bad pulls [some going as much as 40] without a single 5*. I don't understand how they expect this game to keep going, with the slow rate of earning free Magic Orbs, the high cost of purchasing them, and the horrible rates in the Gatcha. Sure, the best monsters are often obtained outside of the Gatcha, but how will you get to that point if the Gatcha never gives you anything interesting?

Honestly, with as many IAP games are there are Puzzle & Dragons, Brave Frontier, School Idol Festival, Terra Battle, etc., it's not as though there aren't alternatives. Of course the actual gameplay portion of Monster Strike is a lot of fun, but it's a shame that it's nearly crippled by the RNG of the Gatcha.

I did 23 pulls. I did get Ryoma, but the rest were garbage. I pulled 7 Karin. Seriously.

Who is it here that was in contact with the Mixi team? Are they not aware of the shitty rates? Or did they do this on purpose?

I'm with Chrono. I'd be spending money if I were getting a better rate of 5* stuff (like at least 1 in 10 pulls), but as it stands now, the rates are SO bad. I can't imagine them staying alive too long in this incredibly competitive IAP-heavy market.

Yeah, that was my second pull screenshot. In my previous one i got 4 of the same monsters as my second pull and 6 of them were dupes. The fact that my second pull ended up being 9 dups, 5 of which were dupes within the same pull, was soul crushing. I went ahead and tried 6 single pulls with what I had left to see if that helped, no go. Kinda killing my interest in the game now, I get that it can't be too good, but I haven't had a single five star in the past few hundred orbs I've spent.

I have not spent a dime only my time (I have not got a new 5* from the gatcha on my main since launch) and I feel cheated, I wonder how the whales feel about this game.

The gacha rate in this game really is worrying considering how well it is doing in Japan right now, they will feel more likely to screw over customers with shitty drops with that accepted base line.
Not that big of a loss if you dont spend money on it, but its sad if this is or will be the defacto gaming experience for future generations - pay to get screwed over even more.

10 pulls not giving a 5* or dropping the same 4* unit (shadowgaff) more than 4-5 times is just crazy. They are compensating the easy coop orbs you get free at first by having such shitty drop it seems.

it would be an understatement to say i felt deflated. this gacha is vicious. dunno how the equivalent of 200 dollars worth of orbs didn't see one of the unique 5 stars that had the greater pull rate.

if i spent 200 dollars on brave frontier, i'd have a goddamn army of elite units.

I would urge everyone to write an email to Google Play support (https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/1050566?hl=en&ref_topic=3364671) and explain what the drop rates are like for this game.

Be clear that the game is good, but "Super High" drops rates are certainly not occurring and are clearly false advertising.

Just let them know. Send screenshots or links to videos. They will issue refunds.

Really, I'd just like Google Play to require such games post the actual percentage chances. That's really not asking too much to keep things on the "up and up."

Okay, perhaps my earlier statement about quitting was a bit extreme [I do still enjoy the game], but the Gatcha is definitely destroying a lot of my excitement. :/

Edit - Another 10-shot, nothing but 4* dupes. That's 100 Magic Orbs used for this Gatcha and nothing good to come from it.

My interest in this game is seriously waning. At this point I doubt I'll have the right monsters to even challenge the upcoming content, and the idea of spending money on Magic Orbs [which I won't do] for the Gatcha and the horrible rates it has doesn't exactly inspire me to spend more time with this one.

I guess it's back to Puzzle & Dragons/Brave Frontier/School Idol Festival for me. At least those games have a much better Gatcha rate [although SIF doesn't really, but then Ultra Rare cards aren't exactly needed], and are much more generous with their in-game currency. I'll still log into Monster Strike occasionally, just to see if anything changes, but I won't be investing much time into it anymore.

Yeah, sorry. I can't speak for anyone else of course but that's definitely the case for me. Thanksgiving weekend has been super busy, hopefully it picks back up with the holiday ending.

Thats what im figuring out right now as well - the current Deity and units like Arthur mny of us got from the start - feels like getting them in the future or as a newcomer will take forever with the current rate. So yeah the rate sucks, but im still glad that i got at least a couple powerful units from the launch.

This is my alt account that I rerolled until I got something keepable - got a Ryoma.

After enough new player bonuses and other stuff, I decided to take the risk on the 10 shot, which was probably a stupid idea. Seemed to pay off, but I don't know what to do with the dupe Ryoma lol, don't think I'll fuse him in, doesn't seem worth it. I might just want two Ryoma's at some point.

So yeah the rate sucks, but im still glad that i got at least a couple powerful units from the launch.

my concern is getting seriously roadblocked without new units in future extremes, especially izanami since i don't have a margarite. i waaas saving all my orbs to try for margarite but the samurai series took control and i gambled like a madman. i'm going to have to rely on coop for izanami or steal a retired gaffer's margarite account (anyone out there? ). i'm not even sure if you can coop izanami. and the only viable blue i have for izanami will be nanami (nuraihyon/queen butterfly too when they come out).

summary: without being able to pull new units, will i be able to get past izanami.

for the above, keep both, way better than 5 luck. for versatility

edit: and yes, i'm in the camp where a 10 pull should include at least one of the featured units so i don't feel like i got absolutely jobbed. and for those saying it'll lose money for mixi, u'll have people roll 10 pulls multiple times to get the ones they want so it works out.

However, I'm with you. I seriously almost bought the 175 orb pack and considered doing 20-single pulls. But I think I'm going to skip it. It just seems way too risky with the rates. I mean, I DID pull Ryoma, but there are others I'd like. I mean, people on Facebook and the various line groups are posting the most disgusting looking pulls ever...4+ of the same unit? C'mon...

I get you fears Forgrim, but when it comes to Izanami and Co. i think our GAF group will be fine. We will make it somehow work, there are enough Margs available and there also other units that can be used in the stage (Napoleon, Zeus, Odin, Nanami etc. ), dont need the optimal setup to get through - it makes it less painful though.

But the drop rate is horrible -.-

She is a 60 stamina event, and her drop is not guaranteed even with a no continue run.

If you watch some vids on the dungeon you will see some high level players bring 99 luck farmables for extra 2 chest hoping to get Izanami egg pops out of one of them.

There are definitely units similar to marge in strength that are usable for Izanami. Here's here event page on the wiki and recommended units.

The best are Napeleon and Margarite, of course. But for other gatcha units, Yukimura, Ascended Odin, Verdandi/Belldandy, and Gerard G Kano are also recommended.

For drop units, Ascended Queen Butterfly, Nurarihyon, Iyo, Jormungand (the unit that the dude was using in the video), and Ancient Smydra are the recommended ones for Dropped units.

So there are lots of units that are usable and even ones that are just dropped. So while Gatcha rates are ass, you can still get some great units to use. I said this earlier in the thread but focus on what you can do with what you got, especially if you aren't spending money and just using the orbs they give you. it also apparently is a hard event so even if you go in with 4 Marges, there's no way it's not going to be a cakewalk. Also, fuck Zombies.

Its like they purposely made it broken and backwards. I have 78 friends and maybe have a handful available to me throughout the day, makes solo play frustrating a lot of times.

It seems like the game is trying to force us to play muliplayer with the horrible gatcha rates and useless helper list system.
