Moon landing conspiracy and Flat Earth conspiracy theories go here and nowhere else

Michelson–Morley disproved the existence of aether per the old theories, not the rotation of the Earth, which is directly observable.
While I was thinking of this problem in my student years, I came to know the strange result of Michelson’s experiment. Soon I came to the conclusion that our idea about the motion of the Earth with respect to the ether is incorrect, if we admit Michelson’s null result as a fact. This was the first path which led me to the special theory of relativity. Since then I have come to believe that the motion of the Earth cannot be detected by any optical experiment, though the Earth is revolving around the Sun. https://flatearth.ws/einstein-misquote
The two sentences, 'the sun is at rest and the Earth moves', or 'the sun moves and the Earth is at rest', would simply mean two different conventions concerning two different CS. Could we build a real relativistic physics valid in all CS; a physics in which there would be no place for absolute, but only for relative, motion? This is indeed possible!" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geocentric_model#Relativity
Despite giving more respectability to the geocentric view than Newtonian physics does,[49] relativity is not geocentric. Rather, relativity states that the Sun, the Earth, the Moon, Jupiter, or any other point for that matter could be chosen as a center of the Solar System with equal validity.[50] -wiki
The second class of facts to which we have alluded has reference to the question whether or not the motion of the earth in space can be made perceptible in terrestrial experiments. We have already remarked in Section V that all attempts of this nature led to a negative result. Before the theory of relativity was put forward, it was difficult to become reconciled to this negative result, for reasons now to be discussed. http://www.gutenberg.org/files/5001/5001-h/5001-h.htm

But the humidity changes through the day, is different in different places (dessert or at the see for example). That mean the distance where objects disappears changes depends of the time, season and place?
Yes the appareance or disappearance of objects at the horizon has been shown to change at different times of day and on different days.
Why are the light poles unaffected by this phenomena?
lightpoles are too tall they bypass the phenomena at such short distance, at greater distance they'd be affected.

Lol you cut of “in deep space” from my quote you sneakster

the lying fools some people who don’t pay attention/don’t care but most can see what you are doing!
How about you respond to the video that you specifically requested instead of picking at what was/wasn't quoted.

Any proves or is it just a statement?

Shouldn't at least the bottom of the light poles, at the same height as the crash barrier, be affected?

"I can construct for you a spherically symmetrical universe with Earth at its center, and you cannot disprove it based on observations. You can only exclude it on philosophical grounds. In my view there is absolutely nothing wrong in that. What I want to bring into the open is the fact that we are using philosophical criteria in choosing our models. A lot of cosmology tries to hide that."- Physicist, George F. R. Ellis
Here's a list of other scientists, even in modern times commenting on geocentrism.

I have to note, that I've heard laser gyroscopes unlike mechanical gyroscopes, may be able to detect the motion of the earth. Though some debate whether that is true or whether they are detecting something else, like perhaps the ether.

That warning was a bit harsh don’t you think?

I asked for a rocket with a video camera in deep space, was misquoted to make it seem like the video was meeting what I asked for, when it wasn’t. Then evilore liked It which is strange because it was deliberately misleading.

I pointed out that it’s pathetic that footage is the best he had of deep space “camera on a rocket” earth footage, and I get a warning, this is after I’ve been called many horrible things

That wasn’t camera on a rocket being launched into deep space.

I’m getting banned guys, they simply have to because the lying doesn’t work.

You'll be perceived by how you choose to present yourself.

So when faced with liars I call them out, I get the warnings. It’s pretty obvious mods/you are blowing your basic bitch fuses over this.

#Teamflatearth and #teamfakemoonlandings are winning this debate.

You have to resort to manipulation and weak ass warnings.

yea I said it.

Some arguments against geocentrism
He is talking about mirages and not about the humidity that affect the horizon .

Regards that video, the claim flat earthers make is that the water line is a false horizon and the actual horizon is within the mirage and at different times of days on different locations the mirage disappears and you can see within it. Also they claim that light refracts downward hiding part of the object.

there's really no debate here, it's more quarantine and entertain the silly bears in the hope they see reason

i don't think anything could convince you, hard to say

what photos
The “ol photos from the Apollo missions that are proven to be fake” apparently in the documentary I keep posting a million times.
Some of the most respected photographers in the world Shit all over them.

What do you think about it?

don’t say space maths

what photos, not sifting through a random youtube doc to prove a negative

pull the images with adequate citations and we'll talk (at least timestamp what you want me to look at)

2 hours 16 mins into this is when it starts shitting all over the photography.

If you won’t watch it, fair enough, but you won’t know what I’m talking about.

you need to better explain yourself, pull the photos you want examined and tell us what's wrong with them

that timestamp and description is inadequate, be specific

cap a photo, source the image with a crawler or identifier, provide citations, and tell us what's wrong

Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams, and it was. It really was.
The flat earth theory is rather interesting, in some ways.

Such as, the treaty to not go to Artartica. That's really the most interesting thing. Also, the fact that we are being neglected of a real photograph of the Earth as a globe. That's interesting.

But past that, it just totally lost me. Like, the idea of gravity, and other things. How can engineers make huge constructions, and not be aware that the Earth would be flat? Are they all lying to us? That's one of the things that don't make sense to me. Perhaps I don't know enough about it... and quite frankly, I'm not sure I wanna know. It's going very quickly into crazy territory.

LMFAO he got banned in the thread created to quarantine his bullshit, amazing.

Flat earthers really only come in two varieties.

The troll, who does it "for the lulz" which I have little time or patience for.

The true believer, who actually believes this nonsense with their hear and soul. These people I feel pity for, the same way I would when I see the downs kid eating alone.

It was painfully obvious that Wellthain was the former, and the board is better off without him.

It is interesting, the flat earther claim is that many large constructions don't even take the curvature into account. They claim to have quotes from engineers that say they didn't take into account curvature. But there are also plenty of articles and videos showing engineers claiming to have taken account of the curvature when constructing big structures.

there is one where they appear to hit the dome according to flat earthers.

I am pretty tired right now so I won't do any calculation, maybe tomorrow.

Ok, the rocket reached 73 miles in a few seconds that means it was extremely fast. It hits a solid wall at an extreme speed and stays in one piece? Nothing breaks, not even the camera?
It must be a really well built rocket that can survive such an massive impact without getting destroyed.

Yeah most of the earth pictures are thousands of photos from satelites stiched together.
BUT...there are many actual photos of full Earth.
Japanese satelite Himawari 8 is capturing photo of whole planet every 10 minutes...
And about treaty not to go to antarctica..... They dont have to go there at all. How about sail around it and measure distance? Acording their model, that distance should be waayyy bigher than arround equator xD
PS. Im still waiting for an explanation how polar day at antarctica work on flat earth :)

I think i found one of the strongest proofs about the moon landing debate.

This is a series of videos that follows a group of very talented people trying to restore an Apollo Guidance Computer. Spoiler: They succeed. And after that they show off how it works.

It's one of the most fascinating things i watched on Youtube. There is a LOT of technical mumbo jumbo that goes way over my head. But i still couldn't stop watching.

I was pretty neutral about the moon landings conspiracy, my stance being "Eh, i'm not sure, they probably went to the moon or not". But after this i'm more convinced they did. Because why would they make something so elaborate and complex, specifically made for a certain task, if they never had the intention of completing that task? They never had to make a complete, working system like this, if they wanted to fake it nobody would question the lack of it.

They could just make a fake computer that doesn't work to make it look "technical", i mean, the real one was dead anyway and they had to go out of their way to revive it. Let alone how very few even have the technical know how to understand how it works, especially such an old computer with blinking lights instead of a monitor. So even if they made a non-working one with random blinking lights that doesn't do anything, 99,9999% of people wouldn't tell the difference.

Considering the average normie can't figure out how to handle a mainstream modern computer made for idiots, i feel like they didn't have to make such thing only to fool potential conspiracy theorists.

Now that doesn't exactly prove they did manage to complete the mission in the end. But it proves 100% they had the intention to really do it and not fake it.

The flat earth claim is there is no real 24hr uncut video of the sun going around in the south pole, but there are dozens if not hundreds of the sun going around the north pole, despite there being plenty of tourists in the south pole.
Now that doesn't exactly prove they did manage to complete the mission in the end. But it proves 100% they had the intention to really do it and not fake it.
The flat earth claim and the moon lander hoax claim is they originally were trying to go, after realizing it was impossible, most kept working compartmentalized and only a select few knew the whole thing was going to be faked. Everyone in the control room was receiving fake simulated data, and videos. All the equipment was actually built in expectation of a real mission, only a select few knew the truth and were involved in the farce.

While this is not a bad argument overall, the bolted part is somewhat weak.

It's not just the computer. They created tons of crazy stuff that the average mind can't comprehend. And that's the difference between an average person (you, me, conspiracy theorists) and the scientists working on such projects. I can't accept something as simple as "they realized it afterwards". That's how the normie brain works, not theirs. I'm pretty sure they did their homework before building all the stuff. And if it didn't work, i feel like there would be a disaster and victims, like the other times it didn't work.

I just can't buy that a "selected few" were able to fool a ton of brilliant minds working on the project. They all had to play the same game if they wanted to fake it and if they did, they wouldn't have to create stuff that works (because they would know beforehand if it couldn't work).

Those are the possible scenarios IMO:

They all knew it was not possible and went ahead and fake it to win the space race. - We know this couldn't be true because we have working equipment that wasn't needed for such farce. Highly unlikely, i give it a 2/10 on the possibility scale.

They all knew it was possible and made the equipment but the mission failed. - We know this didn't happen either because if it really did there would be some kind of disaster/deaths. Plus we all know the mission appeared as a success. 0/10

They all knew it was possible but afterwards realized it's not and had to fake it to win the space race. - I don't think these kind of people would do such a normie mistake, not figuring out it's not possible beforehand. But i can't know better so i give it a 4/10.

They thought it was possible but afterwards a selected few realized it's not and faked it. - The least likely scenario IMO. It implies the people working at NASA are idiots because they both didn't realize it doesn't work and a selected few managed to hide it from them. Pure science fiction this one IMO, i give it 1/10 only because it's not impossible.

They thought it was possible and the mission was real/successful. - From all the facts, i feel this is the most likely scenario. The difficulty of the mission is the only thing that gives any doubts. 7/10 based on the above.

not impossible forever, just impossible on the given schedule.

The person doing a report that said it was impossible died under mysterious circumstances as did several astronauts that were skeptical, or so goes the conspiracy.
One of the astronauts killed in the Apollo 1 disaster — Gus Grissom, was so disenchanted with the progress they were making he hung a lemon off the Apollo lander. He felt they were so far behind that there was little chance of them making it in time to fulfil Kennedy’s promise. https://theunredacted.com/moon-landings-the-apollo-hoax/
Baron compiled a 169-page report critical of safety standards at North American Aviation, and leaked his report to the media.[4] After NAA learned of this, they fired him.

After the Apollo 1 fire Baron wrote a 275-page report on NASA safety protocol violations, which he gave to Rep. Olin E. Teague's investigation at Cape Kennedy, Florida, on April 21, 1967.[5]

The chairman of the NASA Oversight Committee claimed that Baron had made a valuable contribution to the Apollo fire probe, but that he had been "overzealous".[6]
-wiki
Six days after his testimony, Baron was killed instantly, along with his wife and stepdaughter, when a train crashed into their car near their home in Florida

People can and do go to Antartica. The treaty as far as I'm aware is a gentlemans agreement that no country will go try to claim ownership and/or set up military bases there. Seems very simple and straight forward.

you should watch that moon documentary it covers all the basic questions you and others keep asking.

I could turn it back on you and say just because you can’t think of why and how it could be faked, doesn’t mean that others have not thought about it, with detailed reasoning why.

So even if you were correct, what are you on about?

You want the universe to be less interesting.

You are battling science, and science is compelling us to an expansive level of infinite possibilities.
