Maybe Capcom should actually get guest characters people care about if they dedicating half a pass towards them. No one would pick Weird guy who somehow got into Smash Bros or generic sexy anime Ninja 6000 over Omni-man or T-1000. They had a chance with Yor Forger, but they wiffed it badly.

Thats one way of wording it but I think its a farcry to reach 15+ mil sales as MK11 did. As an MK fan, jumping into Mk1 I never felt more violated with the microtransactions and just general blandness. I mean beside the fact they used the time travel trope again, the whole game looks like a remake of Armageddon with a few characters from DA and Deception. Nothing new.

What the hell are you talking about? Fighting games like Tekken and Street Fighter sell less than Mortal Kombat. As do all others made in Japan. NetherRealm can't even sell their games in Japan due to the retarded censorship system. Also, Smash isn't a fighting game...

But Tekken 8 hasn't and that is what is competing with MK1. MK11 sold over 15mil for comparison relative to Tekken 7. Smash Bros. was never a fighting game and its creator says as much in numerous interviews. It is a platform party brawler only successful due to its roster of Nintendo shit.

"Bombed" relative to past entries. MKX sold 12 million. MK11 sold 15 million. MK1 likely won't get close to those numbers.

There's rumors that future DLC for MK1 has been cancelled due to poor sales. Guess we'll know soon enough.
