Actually, this mk is the first game that made me go: "Yeah ok the outfits are retarded". Sonya Blade has become somewhat of an iconic character over the years; can we treat her with more respect than that cheap russian pornstar look? So awful!

Of course, Kerry was a playboy girl, but she still looked classy.

Kitana and Jade need to have different looks too. Mileena's outfit is expected, she's some sort of freak/succubus.

Anyway!

It's expected that all MK women should be basically wearing nothing, my problem with the game is that all the alternate outfits for every girl are even more revealing than the primary costumes.

I hope some DLC costumes down the line will play a LITTLE bit with the characters personalities and we'll see some actual unique kostumes.

My brother was super interested in watching the story mode. As soon as the first clevage shot of Sonya was shown (after Kano shows up) he lost interest probably it just looked really dumb. I can't blame him.

Have you seen Reptile's alt color? its blue! at least his alternate's alt color. Also I think Cage's alternate's alt color is black. Raiden's primary's alt color is Red. When you select the costume hit A to use the normal color scheme and hit Start to use the alt color scheme. So hitting start on Raiden's Primary costume would give you a Red Raiden instead of a blue one.

Jade is too good. I wish i was more familiar with her combos so I could use a breaker whenever that 35%er starts up. Those matches made me really sad that Stryker doesn't have a single move that hits medium. He's so horrible up close when the other person crouch blocks, his only option there is to throw, which usually gets me smashed in the face.

I personally think most of the MK woman are pretty ugly in the face. They look like dude faces, with big boobs, haha.

I wish they looked more classy sexy, not so slutty. I'm all for big boobs, but come on! lol

I didn't mind Li Mei or Nitara but I felt like Nitara was really out of place in a Mortal Kombat game. I also didn't mind the idea of Frost, she wasn't so slutty and kind of made sense in a narrative sense, but I hated her personality and enjoyed her demise in Deadly Alliance. =P

I liked the female characters, granted I don't see them the same way as some do. Kitana's face for example, many hate it because "man face", but I liked it because for some reason, her face reminds me of Christina Ricci in the "a little weird, but cute" kinda way. :p (Same with Sindel and unmasked-Jade)

I mean lets face it, there's a lot of backlash because of her costumes, her revealing outfits and her big breasts, yet on top of that some also want pretty/model-like faces. :p

If anything it just shows the beauty it's on the eyes of the beholder. :p ..then again, I'm single..and gay so what the heck do I know about women, right?! :p

@fernoca C'mon man. I like Kitana in this game, but she looks way too much like Liu Kang with boobs. As far as females in the game I'd prefer not hideous faces and covering costumes to what we have now, but in the end it's more about how it plays than how uggo some of these ladies are. I'm just annoyed because I'm mostly playing Sonya and Kitana so it's all bad news for me.

Just wish they didn't have to go all sexed up on the females, you can tell that they are fully capable of making awesome costumes with some characters but for them it's all T&A. Don't get me wrong, I love boobs like anyone else, but they should always strive to just make them look badass instead.

The final boss in Mortal Kombat 4 and the old Sub Zero action game. In Mortal Kombat 4, he was pretty much a Shang Tsung replacement, able to use the movesets of the other characters. In the Sub Zero game, he became a big skeleton monster, but in Mortal Kombat 4 that only was used for fatalities.

Storywise, he's an evil god. He later appeared in Mortal Kombat Armageddon with his own moveset, summoning skeleton monster hands from the ground or in fireball-type attacks.

It's playable in the sense that it'll work, yes. It's not a "bad" game, but MK fighting game mechanics don't translate into a good brawler. Plus you need to press a button (L1 iirc) to turn around. :\

Get MK:SM instead. Seriously.

Yeah, Mythologies was good as long as you get used to the controls (i.e. press L1 ..I think it was to change the side your character is facing). When facing multiple enemies is a little bit of confusing.

The other way i found easier was to jump+attack on the direction the other enemy was coming, that way I ended facing both . :p

Yeah, I understand..the moment I saw their faces i was like.."well, not the prettiest girls around; but kinda cute", but no biggie to me. :p

For some reason the alts of Jade and Kitana, mostly Jade looks like taken from Everquest...for some reason.

I would but my PS3 isn't backwards compatible. Part of my interest in MKM is the cheese factor and digitized graphic nostalgia.

I remember trying out MK4 at Pier39 and thinking that's it, I'm done. I wasn't that happy with MK3 and the dial it up combo system but MK4 was the nail in the coffin.

Yeah they cranked up the skankiness in this game to a ridiculous degree. It's one thing to give females sexy outfits, it's another for a character like Sonya to constantly be wearing completely impractical clothes. It looks especially ridiculous in story mode because of the context of everything.

MK4 was terrible. I put tons of quarters into MK/MKII/UMK3... but MK4? 3D just sucked ass.
