Most angry you have ever been playing a videogame?

Back when I actually played Madden...the once a season where the computer says, "fuck you, you are losing no matter what." But then I stopped playing Madden and things have been pretty great ever since.

Playing fighting games online can be very very frustrating. I never threw a controller or an arcade stick. I might hit the sides of it a few times but usually I just turned the game off and listened to some music to calm down or something. Nothing ever came close to ticking me off more.

This was like maybe a month and a half ago but one time I was using a Friend Safari in Pokemon Y that had Chancy to farm Lucky Eggs. A Shiny Chancy appeared and I eventually got it to 1 HP and paralyzed it. My first Ultra ball failed and then it proceeded to use Take down and knock itself out. I didn't play Pokemon for a week after that.

Sonic Shuffle. Trying to finish Story Mode in that game is an exercise in futility against completely unfair AI. Winning is a matter of the game taking pity on you, and each attempt at a stage takes like an hour. I was twelve, and it's the only time I can think of where I've been thrown into a vicious rage over a game. Shattered the disc case to pieces.

Definitely SF4 online.
Nothing compares AT ALL.

Not even NG2 on Master Ninja, although I got really mad at that (and NGB) too.

THIS so much!

NG2 on Master was frustrating but ok.

BUT AE online.....the worst...sometimes...grrr

Masher, lag, Blanka and Claw trolls, people with headset micro on (you can hear the echo or some shit music or strange sounds). Especially lag...you press a button within a combo...nothing happens....repeat the same combo...nothing happens while the opponent seems to be able to do the fanciest combos with ease......RAGE.

Mile High Club - Call of Duty 4

On the dashboard they had posted a walkthrough video for it that made it look super easy. Three rage-filled hours later I finally beat it. I set up a wall of pillows on my bed that I could slam my controller into without breaking it every few tries.

Also pretty much any fighting game where I would have (at least what I felt) an undeserved loss. It's the main reason I don't have my mic plugged in while playing fighting games.

It's gotta be gears of war! Anyone would agree.

The sponging and shit, c'mon.

I'd sneak up on a guy shoot him a few times in the back with a Gnasher, he'd be like "Wait a second. Is there someone shooting at me" turns around and chainsaws me.

I'd be like

Most of the times I would actually get down and start doing push-ups. I was pissed.

Two spring to mind: -

1) The RC toy missions in GTA: San Andreas because the controls were complete garbage, and trying to fly a toy helicopter around taking out targets on the move within a time frame and limited fuel was just BS. I managed to work my way through them all in the end but the fun - frustration meter was firmly to the right. So mad I didn't even celebrate getting past them.

2) Mirrors Edge. Really enjoyed the game overall, but there were a few jumps towards the end of the game that were just nightmarish to pull off because you had to gestimate your proximity to platforms and generally ended in a death plunge, followed by having to repeat a sequence to get there again.

Playing Capcom v Snk 2 on the original Xbox over Xbox Live. I knew people who smashed arcade sticks over that game, I never got that bad but damn it made my blood boil on occasion. Play game > post about it on SRK > play game. It was a real circle of hatred.

Great times tho.

Chaining for shinies in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl

So many times I got between 35 and 39 and it would break for NO REASON. I nearly snapped my DS in half a few times. And it didn't help that I had broken my leg before then, so that was literally the only thing I could do comfortably(didn't have a great gaming PC at that time just one family computer and it was impossible for me to continually change my games in my 360)

I've pretty much come to the conclusion that all non-arena shooters must be inherently terrible because all deaths that are shorter than a given amount of time are automatic random bullshit by principle.

So yes, so many times with COD multiplayer.

Trying to get a 15x multiplier in Resogun. Made me want to smash a console Id waited a year for. Got it in the end tho

Trying to use the cure menu in the Vita version of Metal Gear Solid 3.

Seriously, does anyone know how to use that damn menu? I can't figure out how to fix a broken bone or a gunshot wound! Help please

In battlefield two there were some feats you had to do before you turned say, level 10, to get a special badge for that level. One of those was getting 5 knife kills in one match.

Trying to get 5 knife kills on one map got me so frustrated, i snapped a pen in my mouth. Ive never been that frustrated/angry since, I think it dulled my emotions

I have been getting frustrated at Knack lately and my stupid inability to dodge some attacks or stupidly jump attack when I shouldn't because the canned animation stops you from dodging another incoming attack.

My own fault really, I need to slow down and time my attacks better.

- A certain challenge on one of the oldest Guilty Gear games.
- Dark Souls, the infamous archers.
- Dark Souls, the boss fight after the infamous archers.
- League of Legends: playing as the only team member not in a really toxic pre-made team... 2 games in a row.

Every shooter that's not Halo. And sometimes Halo, by which I mean Halo 4.

Currently it's BF4 that has me lifting up my keyboard and then putting it back down because it's a pricy but lovely mechanical one. Fucking DMRs are the worst experience I've ever had. For every time they work properly and actually kill the dude when I get a headshot, there are a about 100 times where it either won't kill them, or it will take 2-3.

Fuck DMRs.

online experiences shouldnt count, thats too easy.

so online aside, probably super meat boy, the last level omega. i still haven't beaten it.

I was pretty mad playing Bioshock Infinite.

You were the chosen one dot jraphics interchange format.

Anything frustrating/way to challenging I just crack a drink and laugh at my incompetence.

Crysis 2 online multiplayer on ps3 I never been so angry I took the disk out and destroyed it with my bear hands it felt good.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess on Wii

The f'n Yeti race for a heart piece. That thing was cheap as all hell, especially using the inferior Wii controls (It was a breeze with a Wavebird)...I lost one time at the last second, lost my cool and slammed my fist hammer style on my coffee table, and broke my hand.

Happened 3 1/2 years ago, from that point on, I just curse out loud, lol.

Definitely COD, and of those probably Modern Warfare 2. So many cheap tactics in that game that I won't mention because they've already been discussed to death.

This bullshit. iirc it took me 3 straight hours of attempts just to get past this one screen. The other two were tame in comparison.

This made me rage for about half an hour and then I entered this weird zen state of mind where I didn't even care anymore. I died a total of 3500 times to complete this warpzone.

This shit right here:

I swear Nintendo made the controls become deliberately worse for this minigame. Never had a problem using the damn harp at any other point in the game, but it was friggin' unusable here. Never again.

You know, that is so damn true. I always thought it was terribly broken. Even if you can manage to follow the 'audience' perfectly, it still fails you.

I never beat that, and I never will I guess.

Probably getting screwed by guild leadership in WoW during WotLK. Laughable in hindsight but man I was pissed.

Probably 2K14 with that awful passing system, and not that infuriating but kinda tired of playing Dota2 only with people speaking Russian even though I specifically chose Western Europe and English language.

Trials HD. I've never broken a controller until this game
How did I forget this one? I never beat this game. I kept thinking that there must have been a 'bunny hop' mechanic that was never explained or something. I have no idea how you're supposed to progress in some of those hard levels otherwise.

Gears of War and CoD games make me rage so fucking bad. Between the lag, netcode and awful spawns it gets under my skin. I start talking to myself out loud like a crazy fuck and have even screamed into my pillow like a child. Some single players games piss me off, but nothing like a bullshit MP experience that sends me over the age. NHL 14 HUT mode has gotten me pretty angry too. I had to take a break from online matches.

With that said, anybody want to play Ghosts on XBox One? Send me a pm, lol.
