Multiple Silent Hill games are in the making, confirms Konami

Discussing Silent Hill F, Konami noted that the game has performed well in every way, whether it be the critic reviews or commercial performance.

Later, the publisher stated that it has intentions to develop the series further. Konami currently has plans to make more Silent Hill titles for the fans, but whether these will come in the form of new titles or remakes is anybody's guess for now since the series is still in its early days following Konami's recent revival.

Interestingly, many fans believe a sequel to Silent Hill F would be a good idea, with a potential second game pushing the title's iconic psychological elements forward. Elsewhere, there is also demand for console and Steam ports for already existing titles, so the publisher could pursue a compilation for the series similar to Metal Gear Solid's Master Collection.

Let's hope it stays away from the direction Silent Hill F is taking the franchise.

A game that has nothing to do with Silent Hill and which features some of the most tedious combat I've seen in any modern video game.

In other news :
More output doesn't necessarily mean quality. We all remember the direction the franchise took after 4: The Room, right? If they keep spamming entries, the quality will inevitably take a hit.

2 Remake was actually really good and showed that Bloober is capable of producing competent games and Chronos: The New Dawn proved they learned even more from working on the project. Silent Hill f was…middling though, and let's not forget that awful playable demo from last year (the letter ? can't even remember its name).

I hate being pessimistic, but, let's hope they don't drive the franchise into the ground AGAIN.
 
While i'm glad to hear that, please, learn from the SH f reception, its a very good game, just a very boring one, which is the worst thing a silent hiill title can be.
 
With 1 being confirmed, 3 surely has to be on the way. It'd be wild if they decided to do 4 as well though. Hell, I'd be all for these remakes. It'll be awesome to see new games too, especially from Bloober. I feel like they have the potential to put together a solid new SH title, especially after working on multiple remakes. Hopefully they channel the series more than f apparently did. Which I still plan to check out at some point.

Silent hill G. Sign me up. That and the Sh1 remake will be good times.

Even if SHf is a 7/10 for me it was still a good game overall that can be improved upon for a sequel.
 
Y'all hoping for more SH2R and SHf, but it'll probably be more crap like Silent Hill Ascension. This is Konami.

Looking forward to The Real Housewives of Silent HillZ.
