So many great moments, Ochako´s voice is so cute! Its a great fit.

I forgot how subtle was the revelation of Deku´s mom getting fat, it still kills me, so funny.

And the OST is fantastic, it keeps selling the visuals and making them better.

At least artistically, the MHA manga fucks HxH over and over again. The anime won't get too far so we wouldn't be able to tell, tbh.

How was the art at the start for HxH? I know people love to joke how it digressed to stick figures now but was it better before?

Yeah, not enough farts :(

It always had charm, but it was constantly lazy with a few very detailed scenes in between. When Togashi wants to make great art, he does.

Nope. It was always really unstable, incoherent and even in Togashi's best moments it looked a lot worse than other jump series like Naruto.

It's still crazy to think that just a few years ago the mangaka (Horikoshi) was close to quiting being a mangaka. I hope that getting a anime and the consistent popularity of the mango in Jump helps improve his self esteem issues.

Great epsuode. All might is perfect.

I've only been watching the anime but man the pacing is awful. I mean I don't know how many 15 second crying clips they can fit into an episode. It's giving me one piece flashbacks where they yell or cry all the time and get nothing done plot-wise.

I really like the anime but after watching well paced ones it's a little rough. The next episode seems a lot more promising though.

Is it safe to say it's the second best shonen anime after Hunter x Hunter.

Way way to early to say anything like that, the show hasn't even done anything apart from introduceing deku and focusing on his beginings.

My opinion of the episode so far

Ep 1 weak

ep 2 great

ep 3 good

I see. Other than the original anime I don't haven't followed much of HxH.

Em. Eh...

Hell no! This anime won't even get to the point where anything happens. Hell, I'd honestly say the manga hasn't really gotten to that point yet.

I was about 70 chapters in when I stopped reading the manga because of this. I kept waiting on something really big to happen, but it still felt like setup.

maybe

if they kill off
you know who
and gets darker

That wouldn't make the manga/anime good. The purpose is what would make it good same as keeping said person alive.

people always want stuff to get dark just for the hell of it

Especially since there is a very obvious way of taking a non-lethal way.
He is losing power and his health is getting worse by the day. He can easily be hospitalized or weakened to the point where he couldn't get out any more without spoiling his image as a symbol. It would be another level of dramatic if All Might would be relegated to sitting around, despite having power left, but even a single screw up could've weaken the name of the heroes further.

This show is 3 for 3 for excellent transitions into the ED.

Also, ya know, it's real fucking sweet. I feel like Izuku and All-Might represent the Silver Age, and the hero system, and wannabe heroes like Kacchan and that one brownnosing student this episode, represent a more cynical modern view of superheroes? Like, heroes for the good of it, and the flair and smiling spirit to match, vs the presence of superheroes just because that's a thing the world demands. I dunno, I might be reading into things to much right now. I'll see how the other students fit into things.

Ep 3

It's only 12 episode long and has 86 chapters worth of material but some how even with it cuting a few panels, still 2.5 chapters through, this season is going to end before the story even has chance to kick off or even gets build any momentum.

I liked the get buff at the beach part in the manga I generally really like training episodes, my weakness.

They are going to get through USJ the first major arc. it ends nicely in the mango. I know some fans are disappointed that it is only 13 episodes for the first season but that timeslot they have is super important for the future of the series.

Oh, so that's how it works, or should work as of now. I can't wait to see if it works out for Deku next week during the exam. Good stuff.
