Ahhh the anime handled the Hero rescue points even better than the manga. Ochako is so great she pukes Rainbows clearly the sign of best girl.

next week second best girl

I think the OST is going to be my favourite Hayashi composed soundtrack. It gives me straight chills.

New episode comes out today right?

Geez. This gives me so many positive emotions. So far the anime is beautiful. I've actually stopped reading the manga around the end of this episode plot-wise, because I knew anime was coming and prefered to experience the story in animated form. Good choice.

And I find it hilarious that between this and One Punch Man somehow japanese folk became absolutely awesome creators of tv superhero stories. For so many years their attempts at genre have been so cringe-inducing (with Tigger and Bunny being the sole exception)

Something about the art in this episode bugged me, not sure what it was. I know that I definitely didn't like the way Mr. Laser Beam looked or sounded.

All in all, not a bad episode. Not much to note of in the animation department. I wonder if next week is when we'll start getting into 2 chapters an episode pacing.

Yeah the animation on dekus face looked off at times, it looked abit rough.

I don't want to decide between Froppy and Ochako, they're both great.

However they both also share the issue of not enough screen time.

Holy fuck I completely forgot Deku trashed both his legs as well as his arm with his first manifestation. Jesus fuck.

They animated him like he totally lost the bones in his arms instead of just breaking them. Or maybe that's how they loo? Either way... BLERGH.

Some great additions. Rainbow puke = great. Rescue points = great. Uchako being way more naesuated using her powers = great. MidoMum = really great

Pretty prefictable standard writing for this.

Tenya comes across as mean and rude while laserboy really performed well.

Sleeveless shirt bakugou was best thing ever. Saved.

I see Denki Kaminari for the next epidode and a smiling Bakugou. Its gonna be a great epidode. I cant wait.

The manga doesn't have the most unique story, but damn if it doesn't give the warm fuzzy happy feeling after reading. The anime multiplies those moments for me. This is the best way to end the week.

If I remember correctly, in the manga they say he "pulverized the bones in his arm"

I love how patient the show is so far in terms of tension. It really manages to squeeze out a fantastic emotional response during pivotal moments in a way that only animated visuals and a good score could do. While I think the manga does a lot of things better I think this was an episode where I mostly preferred the anime - especially All Might delivering the video to Deku.

This episode is where the fun begins. Stellar art, the colours look amazing and I also really like the addition of being able to see one for all on Izuku's body. This episode also reminded me of how OP Ochako is.

Yeah, this is one of the most skilled adaptations I've seen. They don't just pull scenes from the manga, they rewrite to take advantage of animation.

The only thing I was a little weirded out by was that the logical conclusion of the way they presented Deku going "I know I failed" was that All Might had to have said "Of course, with a 0 in the physical exam, you failed...

...WOULD BE WHAT I WOULD BE SAYING IF WE WERE PLAYING BY NORMAL RULES LOL TROLLED YOU"

i really like how All Might is consistent between both forms yet noticeably different. Like a split personality or an actor constantly assuming a role (that is, yet, a real persona)

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.
And here comes the "Academia" part of My Hero Academia.
And for people that thought "He does get powers? That's stupid this is gonna suck", we see here that he has MAJOR issues controlling his powers. In that his limbs break when using them.

I can't believe this is only going to be 13 episodes. Bones has to continue this later, this is masterful. Honestly some of the best Shonen Jump stuff I've seen in a while. This really goes to show that you don't need a particularly original concept for a series if you execute it well enough. Beautiful animation, fun and likable characters, great sense of style and tone, UGH IT'S JUST SO GOOD.

Also, Funimation needs to be pushing this hard. This could very easily break into the mainstream. Slap the show on Cartoon Network or something. This show really had to potential to be big.

This adaptation is everything I hoped it would be, Deku smashing the giant robot was the moment the manga won me over and the anime captured it perfectly.

Ok, I'm still liking this. I have to agree they are taking their time with the narrative and really playing up the drama, but I like a good underdog story, so I'll keep watching and enjoy it.

There's speculation that it will replace Dimension W on Toonami when that ends in a few weeks. Especially since Funimation has been pushing "Broadcast Dubs" hard lately.
Speaking of, we're on the fourth episode and surprisingly we haven't heard anything about a possible Broadcast Dub.

According to rumors they broke the bank to get their hands on it, so a Broadcast Dub is a given. Also the short season gives them a chance to make it relatively fast.
