Date a Live ep.2
WTF is thus show, lol. This is amazingly bad. So much so it's entertaining, lol. Entertaining trash is something else..

And so it begins.

Honestly, I never like how shonen media handle things like this. I know drama is nice, but some competence from the protagonist would have been nice. And a near suicidal need to protect others only seems like a good thing.

Also, Deku could have saved himself a ton of misery if he did not try so hard to be like All Might and used some sort of prop.

A baseball bat and/or a sword would go a long way in protecting him from self-harm.

Whether or not he uses a weapon, if he outputs too much power he'll break something regardless.

He only just got his powers and has no idea of how extreme they are. Plus I doubt most run of the mill weapons can handle the stress, he needs custom-made items.
Most people not only grew up with their quirks but also seemed to have figured out how to best amplify/control them with tools.

There's speculation that it will replace Dimension W on Toonami when that ends in a few weeks. Especially since Funimation has been pushing "Broadcast Dubs" hard lately.
Speaking of, we're on the fourth episode and surprisingly we haven't heard anything about a possible Broadcast Dub.

Thats pretty normal most times broadcast dubs are announced 6ish weeks after the series has started in Japan.

Right, but he is a bright kid. He has been shown as being such, the fact that he has given no thought as to how he is going to use his powers is irksome.

Minor manga spoilers:
Even after an arc specifically dedicated to it, He still has yet to quite get his shit together in this regard.

Mitigate, not completely fix.

Now that was a great episode. But I have to be honest, I'm quite glad this is getting animated because I hardly remembered anything from this episode, lol.

I thought we were getting
a tennis ball throw game.

At least that's what I remember reading...

That is next episode if I am not mistaken.
The series has a lot of tests...it is a school after all.

I mean, a weapon won't mitigate it. His body right now simply cannot take too much output.

manga spoiler>
doesnt even have an attack that doesnt break a bone, iirc the weakest attack hes shown is breaking a finger
(Delaware Smash).
Using say a bat or club would still leve him crippled

As All Might said hes still just a quickly made vessel at the starting line.

Edit: yeah i dont like discussing manga stuff here.

SMASHHHHHHHH.

I wouldn't say this show is anything special just yet, but I still really like it. I am a sucker for shonen shows in general though.

They already confirmed it a few weeks ago at the beginning of the season, they just haven't said when it's going to start airing yet

I stopped caring after episode 3 and read everything in one go. It's pretty entertaining.

And the anime is still watchable after reading, because they know how to make the epic moments shine.

So, i've just watched all the 4 episodes, and i'm quite liking it so far.
It's basically Naruto x One Punch Man and the writing is so predictable, but the characters are likeable, the artstyle and animations are great and damn if i don't finish every episode with the most warm fuzzy feelings in my heart.
Will keep watching, seems promising.

Also love best girl talks, although between MC's mom and Gravity Girl mom takes the price, she's just too adorable in her anxiety
although i've already seen the cliche cleavage, big breasted character

Pfft the symbol of justice doesn't use tools, he uses his bare hands to lay down justice! Personally I think if he did use a weapon it would sorta defeat the personality of the character.

Sawano ought to have done this animes soundtrack as he would have made the music more memorable and we would have had an actually good OP song.

I still cant stop looking at that awesome looking Bakugou.
