Goddamn, that'd be a hell of a swerve.
MIDORIYA IZUKU: JAPAN'S MOST WANTED
...
God that'd be dope.
It's the climax and "The Fight" everybody remembers like Todoroki and Deku so I won't be surprise for some Sakuga momentsSeems like they're hyping up episode 37
Wonder if they're gonna go above and beyond like they did with the Nomu fight at the end of S1. A fight I didn't really think much of in the manga but was pretty awesome in the anime.
They delivered with the shinso fight and Stain last stand. And they also did Mob psycho 100, so they are totally capable.I just want them to deliver on that face
Well there was Shiggy and portal which wasn't the best but Season 2 is betterThey delivered with the shinso fight and Stain last stand. And they also did Mob psycho 100, so they are totally capable.
I too can't see why people are complaining about Mirio, in a world were Stain is capable of physically confronting multiple heroes and Endeavor too is quite strong even withouth flames.

So, don't get touched. It's totally believable that Mirio is a better fighter and inspired fear from Overhaul at that moment.because overhaul can delete people with a touch

It's a shonen manga, not a real life boxing match.
We were already shown someone that was supposed to have superior fighting prowess that was getting disintegrated instantly everytime he fought Chisaki. Did you forget about Rappa? His explanation about fighting Chisaki was specifically to hype up Chisaki. The five minutes is bullshit.
Maybe five minutes is bulshit, but Mirio beating Overhaul isn't. Remember that his fighting style is all about prediction. Also remember that Nighteye was able to beat Rappa's clone too.
I didn't forget Rappa. Did you forget he is an overconfident berserker dude who never tried to avoid getting hit? He probably thought Chisaki was a pushover and never thought he would get hurt.We were already shown someone that was supposed to have superior fighting prowess that was getting disintegrated instantly everytime he fought Chisaki. Mirio knew he couldn't get touched and everything about his fighting style is based on the premise of not getting hit. It's really not that hard to believe, even more when you consider he had all the momentum/psychological advantage.
Rappa pretty much during the fight with fatgum relied on his partner for defense and his strategy was pound on them till they died
So was Sano in Rurouni Kenshin and dude literally didn't know how to block, much less avoid, strikes for years ¯\_(ツ_/¯He was a fighter in an underground fighting ring that surely later had opponents that tried to dodge his one hit punch. He was a career illegal fighter.
Honestly, the five minutes thing strikes me more as an "authors don't understand timescales" thing. Every time there's been a timer on-panel it's either been crazy short or weirdly long. This is the latter.
It's whatever.
It's a tool to try and build hype by adding tension to a fight. But, like a lot of things in this arc, it just didn't really work.
Someone remind me what scene happens in the mall? The moment Handy gets handsy with Deku?
I think he was just off with the timing. He could easily build the same tension by saying 2/3 minutes. It's a tool to try and build hype by adding tension to a fight. But, like a lot of things in this arc, it just didn't really work.

Some people really don't like Deku huh? Surprised by that.
You don't want you MC to not have room to growth. It is the same thing that people say about Shigaraki. Many prefer other characters but amost none have the same growth as Shigaraki and Deku.
I dunk on Shiaraki because the dude continues to not really grow which is frustrating. His best moment was the mall scene everything else is him making impulsive bad decisions that somehow work out in his favor despite not being part of the plan. It made the a4o vs o4a fight weird when a4o kept talking about how all might was a failure as a teacher when by all accounts Deku had actually accomplished a lot more of what he set up to do then Shigaraki at the same time period in the story.
This arc is the complete opposite of what you just said. He outsmarted Overhaul with the whole Togawice scheme and is doing some thing that actually made Gran Torino not go to the raid.Part of this the fact that not only is he mostly a mook boss, it's not even like he really... particularly directs them, I guess? He just lets them off the leash and watches them go to town.
So between that and the fact he's not really done much in the way of actual villainous schemes - beyond, again 'unleash villains in a general area' - he's just... there.
We know that he went investigate the alliance.Wait how do we know Gran Tarino disappearance have to do with Shigiraki
Besides even if he was the reason it could be on Gran own doing since he is the grandson of a close friend

His character arc of being a hyper-obsessive kid who can't learn to live w/ reality who gets wish fulfillment is...not the best start. Some people really don't like Deku huh? Surprised by that.

I disagree. Not only this is a very ignorant way to describe the story, ee are just seeing the repercussions of him getting OFA out of nowhere. The fact that so many people see that Mirio deserved OFA more than Deku shows that Deku has to prove he is worthy. His character arc of being a hyper-obsessive kid who can't learn to live w/ reality who gets wish fulfillment is...not the best start.
