IMO, the writing stays strong, for the most part. I think there are some weaker episodes (for example 'Over a Barrel'), but overall, the writing so far has been very good. Most of the episodes are one offs. And again, for the most part, while there isn't really an over arching story, a few of the episodes do have a recurring theme/subject i.e.: The subject of the Grand Galloping Gala shows up in The Ticket Master, again in Suited for Success, and from what I know, is the subject of the series' season finale.
