:/ Still think you guys should be more careful about mentioning the scanslation groups, and posting pages with their watermarks. Pretty sure these rules still apply in the ManGAF thread, don't see why they wouldn't anywhere else; mods just haven't taken a peek yet.
There have been a few recent chapters in which MS conveyed things more appropriately than MP. It's true that MP has had the better track record over the past few years however.
I miss the njt & Nihongaeri days.

With this chapter MS definitely made more sense when it came to the ending part at least. At first I didn't get why Hagoromo would mention Sasuke's mom, but bringing up Kaguya made more sense.
We will have to do with crappy cam recordings for about 6 months after it's release, maybe more.
If we're lucky we'll get some really shitty subs too.

I think it looks terrible too. Kishimoto seems to have some kind of weird fascination with heterochromia dōjutsu. It worked for Obito, 'cause of the Harvey Dent thing he had going on. But it doesn't work out so well for Madara and Sasuke.
We still don't even know why Sasuke awakened a single Rinnegan, or why it possesses a Tomoe Seal.
Usually by listing the manga at the rock bottom of the ratings.
Otherwise, a chapter or two prior.

Sasuke possess a tomoe because of the power of the hermit. The only people to possess any tomoe were those closest to the sage's power. The Juuibi, jinchurki, and those given power by the Sage of Six Paths. As for it affecting one eye, it could be because he received half of the sages power. Sasuke did not unlock it naturally like Madara.
I feel that Kishi does not explain every detail of a character's power or story bits to allow for the reader to fill in the gaps using the information about the world and rules we know thus far.
There wasn't much else Sakura could do. She couldn't stop Sasuke physically, and there was no point in pleading with Naruto, so the only thing she could was beg him not to do anything. Woulda been nice if she gave words of encouragement to Naruto, but that would be totally out of character, and I doubt she would ask him to make another promise when she knew how much pain it caused him the first time, not that Naruto cares since apparently he still intends to keep it.
I ship NaruSaku, and I still think it's happening, but boy is it going to take a lot of convincing this late into the game.
Like, as much as people we happy if they're right, it'll still be cause for a wtf reaction if Sakura went like "OK, Naruto, you beat Sasuke. I can see you're the one I should be with." That'd be the worst.
I strongly suspect Kakashi will give Sakura a stern talking to. We already got a look into his mind when he thought Sakura's feelings for Sasuke might have changed. Maybe he'll tell her about his own experiences, specifically involving Obito and Rin. I wouldn't want him to somehow guilt Sakura into feeling she was obligated to be with Naruto (which is a sentiment that pissed him off about her false confession), but it would be nice if she actually came into the realisation herself.
However Kishi handles it, it's going to be hated one way or another, both because shippers tend to be crazy people and because it's this late into the game. I can totally see it happen over the course of the fight though, maybe while Hagoromo produces some kind of magic crystal ball or some shit ala DBZ so they can watch.
Speaking of the fight, I don't expect much from next week.
I expect Sasuke to prattle on about what being Hokage means, explaining through his warped logic that totalitarianism is the way to go about vanquishing the corruption that has been ailing the shinobi world, so on and so forth.
Of course I expect Naruto to try to understand him but ultimately telling him to blow it out of his ass.
Then the week after that they actually being the fight, and I can imagine Naruto use a bunch of Shadow Clones to test the range of Sasuke's new abilities before entering Rikudō Mode and going at it. I don't expect Sasuke to try and compete physically because that would be suicide so he'll bust out Susanoo and whatnot.
Naruto gives it another go trying to convince Sasuke not to be a dick before he is ultimately pushed to taking him seriously, thus busting out his new Bijū Mode, which will probably bear resemblance to that of Ashura.
Of course through all of this I expect a ton of flashback exposition and scenes of Hagoromo, Kakashi and Sakura discussing shit, with more flashbacks mingled into that of Team 7.
Fight ends predictably with a Rasengan VS Chidori, only this time Naruto overpowers Sasuke and wins.
Cue more flashbacks of them as kids.
Cue unity sign.
Cue instant friendship forever, OR, Sasuke is nowhere to be found when Naruto comes to after collapsing from the stress and fatigue of nonstop fighting.
Cue minor time skip and Kishimoto's farewell message as the manga ends and a reminder that The Last hits theatres near you on December 6!

The spins keep goin son. Naruto could kiss Sasuke and make out with him on the final chapter and people would firmly stand that NaruHina/SasuSaku is still happening or something like that.

Sakura doesn't know anything about love. She's 16 and has a crush on some guy because she likes the way he looks. It's so shallow and and poorly-written and yet now we even have Kakashi making lame speeches about it.
Have Naruto pulverize Sasuke and be done with it. It shouldn't even be a competition. Naruto isn't exactly a good character, but he's so much more tolerable and reasonable than Sasuke that the series needs to actually represent what a poorly-written, undeveloped piece of trash Sasuke is. Obviously that's not going to happen.

Pulling my man Kakashi into that crap was the worst part of this chapter.

I despise SasuSaku and even I can't agree with this assessment. That'd be like saying Naruto still only has a boyhood crush on Sakura.
Whatever her reasons, however illogical, Sakura's feelings are not based on something as shallow as Sasuke's looks. At some point during the time together on Team 7, the crush she had on Sasuke since they were kids turned into something more, and the same can be said about Naruto.
The only question here is whose feelings will last longer. Is Sakura finally going to realise Sasuke never was and never will be the man she thought he was first or will Naruto, maybe through an arc of maturity, and give up on Sakura?
Kishimoto has written Sakura with nothing short of contempt at times, but I would hope he can at least find it in him to stop shitting on her character and let her move, whether it's to Naruto, Lee or Ino, it doesn't matter so long as this shit ends.
This is do agree with for the most part. By all accounts, this is not fair fight. Naruto is the jinchūriki of all nine bijū and he possess both their powers and that of Hagoromo. This should be a cakewalk.
But it won't.
The part I disagree would be that Sasuke is underdeveloped and poorly written. He has had, arguably, the most development in the manga, and while his development was a little rushed at times and the writing may have suffered because of it, he is still a strong element in the manga that pushes it forward.

Sasuke has had no less than THREE epiphany moments, and yet he still comes up with some utterly fortuitous and completely illogical way to create conflict. I do not consider that good character writing. I said undeveloped, not underdeveloped. Every time Kishimoto wants you to believe he's changed, he comes up with some insane nonsense to put him at odds with Naruto. Elder leadership, literally 3 people, calling for blood caused the Uchiha massacre? KILL EVERYONE. The Hokage tell Sasuke what a ninja really is? Okay, I'll save the village. JUST KIDDING, I'm going to murder 5 of the most important people in the world in their sleep, because ??????????

This was my opinion even before this chapter happened. I figured that if Kishi intends her to have some realization or whatever, this fight would be a good place and time for it. But didn't expect Kishi to start with a 181 redux right off the bat. The manga is supposedly ending soon and she still loves Sasuke so much....Kishi will need to pull out some magic if he wants NS to happen in a sorta convincing way. There's also no guarantee that she'll wake up before Naruto and Sasuke returns. What then? This?
Yeah, probably not this. But she'll tear up and hug Sasuke or something. Depending on how the Last and the new era project shape up, right now imo the best and only chance is if she wakes up mid-fight and has an epiphany. Preferably on her own as you said and not because Kakashi gave her a sermon.
Though as you said it won't matter. It won't be good regardless and fans (save for the NS shippers) won't like it regardless. Really, all the big 3 are so painfully one sided. The romance is just so bad. Can't imagine how most Sakura fans feel now.
As for the fight, yes, next chapter Sasuke walks us through his vision and maybe after that they start the fight. It's going to have a lot of talk and flashback anyway.

Hagoromo himself does not have a Rinnegan with a Tomoe Seal.
Only the Jūbi, Kaguya(whom the Jūbi was, in actuality, a manifestation of), and Madara(through the Jūbi).
And those were all red, Sasuke's retains the Rinnegan's standard blue/purple. Why?
Is that really the case? Did the chakra Hashirama gave him to subdue Madara, and his cultivated genetic material that Kabuto used to mend Sasuke's mortal wound not play a factor in it's awakening?
Sasuke may have attributed both his Rinnegan and Naruto's Rikudō Senjutsu as gifts from Hagoromo, but they were given the catalysts for these abilities prior to meeting him. All the chakra Hagoromo gave them through the Rikudō no In/Yō no Chikara, seemed to be purposely for the Rikudō Chibaku Tensei.

If sasuke hasn't reached the point where she can tell naruto how she truly feels this late in the game. Maybe she just doesn't feel him. I also think they'll end up together but man does she make it hard to buy. I thought we were just going to get another sasuke kun moment but this was next level.

There have been a number of callbacks to early chapters as of late, and one that NaruSaku shippers have been holding out for in particular is the one where Naruto compliments Sakura on her forehead, the thing Sakura is most self-conscious about, which only Naruto has ever complimented her on. The reason why NaruSaku shippers find it an important moment is mostly retrospective because it draws yet another parallel to MinaKushi with Minato being the only one to have complimented Kushina on her hair, which was the thing she was most self-conscious about.
I suppose it could still happen in some contrived manner, but I wouldn't recommend anyone hold her threat breath.
What's interesting about 693 though is that the promise is still in play, the promise which Naruto told Sai he had to keep because he couldn't tell Sakura how he really felt otherwise. I've always found that a little odd because Naruto is blatant with his affections, and even Sakura knows that he loves her, as in she knows it's more than just a simple crush.
The fact this was brought up gives some shippers hope that, once Naruto beats Sasuke, and all's well ends well, that then maybe he'll tell Sakura how he really feels. Though he made it very obvious, Naruto has never actually confessed his love for her, so I guess it could happen.
There is one way in particular I can actually see Sakura come to realise how much Naruto actually means to her. In my mind I can see it happen very similarly to the OVA special Naruto x UT, which, I know, was merely a special made to coincide the launch of a clothing line, but the present situation is fairly similar.
Getting to the point, I can imagine Sakura being terrified out of her wits if it appears Naruto might actually die. 663-4 showed how just how much the thought of Naruto dying upset Sakura and how desperate she was to save him.
It'd be a huge cliché if it took Naruto seemingly dying with nothing she could do to save him to make Sakura "awaken" those kinds of affections, but it seems we're all prepared for a badly written conclusion to the pairing wars.

We need to know why she's held onto someone who's just put her in a genjutsu which depicts him stabbing her through the heart.
There has to be a reason here.
She got to know him, and that's really it. I think she began to fall in love with him during the Chūnin Exams, maybe a little before that when she was balling after Sasuke was seemingly killed by Haku. It's a bit of a muddled affair, but it's undoubtedly love.
