Well I would think she would be ready to retire during the movie timeskip if not immediately after the war. I agree that she will probably survive though. Seems like everyone in the dream will probably make it out alive.

That would be shitty writing. You don't have your character yell about being hokage for years worth of manga and then have him become some other kage.

I'm just glad it seems according to next weeks episode preview, we are finally done with the Madara and 1st hokage back story. Only they can take a 2 issue story and turn it into 3-4 episodes. Don't get me wrong I loved the shielded nine-tails and 1000 arm buddha fight, but I want to get back to the war and see Naruto interact with his dad.

Tsunade doesn't have to die for Naruto to become Hokage. Remember Minato became Hokage while Sarutobi was still alive.
Also Tsunade is pretty old, although she doesn't look it due to her healing technique, if you look at Jiraya you can tell he was pretty old when he died, and of course Orochimaru is cheating death/aging by constantly stealing bodies.

I loved the Madara flashback, it actually felt like a real brutal ninja war, lots of shades of grey in the Uchiha vs Senju conflict.
big difference between that and this black and white war filled with zombies and plant people.

you can't knock kakashi for relying on the sharingan, he's had it since he was a kid and the majority of his life so of course he's built his fighting style around it. He's not useless and he still a kage level shinobi but right now kage level isn't much when your on a battlefield of gods and monsters.

Kakashi was amazing since a young age. His goddamn father was regarded as ahead of the Sannin. And we all know lineage means a lot in Naruto. Kakashi was on pace to surpass that shite. And he still can.

And how do you propose he do that? With Lightning Blade? I mean when you get right down to it most of the awesome things that Kakashi did were centered around having half of a Mangekyo Sharingan. I can't really see Kakashi doing much else without magical eye powers. He hasn't really demonstrated high level ninjutsu techniques sans eye power going on what now? 100 chapters or so?
In the current battle of Demi-God vs Ninjesus your dude is quite useless-hence his last ditch effort by throwing himself in the line of fire. Which is why I brought up the idea of him getting both eyes in the first place.

The entire reason Kakashi can even use Raikiri effectively was because of the sharingan.
We really don't what Kakashi brings to the table without the magic eye, maybe he'll finally remember the 1000 jutsus he supposedly knows.

Raiden, cleaved through V2 jinchuriki arms, something not even the sword of kusanagi could do.
Rasengan, maybe in a few years he'll make a raiton equivalent to rasenshuriken.

Enhanced weapons with nature release.

Why would Naruto want to become Kage of a village he's never seen or been apart of?

Kakashi knows over a thousand jutsu. Since losing his Sharingan he's lost
- Kamui
- Sharingan genjutsu
- Copying
- Seeing chakra
- Predicting movements
It's a significant loss but he won't have the same constant drain on his reserves and genius like Kakashi can still cast genjutsu, copy a move if he understands it, and predict movements based on body language and experience.
Kamui is undoubtedly the biggest loss, but at least he got two functioning eyes for it in return.
I'd say he's past old man Hiruzen when he faced Orochimaru, sure.

Well to be clear, I'm not saying he is instantly at the potential he could be at. I'm sure coasting on the sharingan would mean he has to brush up. But Kakashi has always been a huge talent with potential to EASILY be Kage level or higher. It just doesn't seem like it when he is against Gods.

He was Minato's student, Guy Rival, has Obito's eye, Naruto and Sasuke sensei and he is at least 3 tier bellow all of them.
Kakashi should have Sage mode and being beating with an electric flavored FTG with a Rasengan in one hand and a chidori on the other.

He may have gotten the moniker for being the copy ninja and mastering 1000 jutsu (with the aid of the sharingan), but he's as skilled, famous, and feared as he is because of how resourceful he is at using the tools at his disposal. Of which he's amassed a ton, making him exceptionally versatile and well rounded.
He's not as good at genjutsu as, say, Itachi or Madara, and he's not as good at taijutsu as Guy, or as good of a strategist as Shikamaru, but he's still better at strategizing than most combat strategists, better at hand to hand combat than most hand to hand combat specialists, and has more experience than most ninjas. In the event that he encounters someone with better raw skills in one area than him, he can usually rely on his experience and his versatility to give him an advantage.

I'd love if kakashi ripped off the infinite tags jutsu from Tobirama and make it his own, seems like something up his alley and gives him a new mountain buster technique to replace kamui.

Obito has 10 tails pulled out of him. Any Jinchuuriki with the tailed beast pulled out of them is supposed to die quite quickly. Obito hangs out for awhile.
Obito uses Rinne Tensei, a technique that uses a ton of chakra and seems to kill its user when used. Obito sticks around.
Obito then takes the 9 tails into himself and puts it back into Naruto. Once again a situation where he should have just immediately died. He passes out but doesn't actually die.
If he doesn't die from getting stabbed with one of Kaguya's magic sticks, I wouldn't actually be that shocked. Also, Izanagi anyone?

Izanagi wouldn't be a stretch, He has used it twice. I rather have him give Kakashi's Sharingan again, he will once again die saving Kakashi and giving him his sharigan.

It's weird. On one hand I actually love the idea of Kakashi getting one or BOTH Obito's eyes. I just think it's a cool way to always be "with" Obito. But on the other hand it's time for Kakashi to do his own thing.
Honestly it makes sense for Obito to give it to him. They may need it to beat Kaguya. Seems wasteful to leave a skill there. Besides Naruto can swap the eyes out later This is assuming Obito actually dies which as you can see above, who knows.

Thanos acquires the fully powered Infinity Gauntlet in The Avengers: Infinity War, but loses when all the superheroes team up together to stop him.
It's not like losing the Sharingan made him magically forget all the jutsu that he copied. At least, I don't think so. So the only things he can't do now are Kamui, or copy more techniques. I guess his reflexes are nerfed a bit now, too.

Didn't Kakashi said that the only reason he could do the Chidori was because of the Sharingan focus? Take Kamui and Chidori and you get a jonin level shinobi.

yeah his chidori (it goes by a different name) is only practical with the sharingan. and yes i agree if he's without the sharingan, he's basically fodder. but calling it jonin is a nice way of saying it. maybe the author will pull something out of thin air like his father's special energy, gai's ssj mode, or sage mode. or maybe the era of mages will be over and he doesn't have to fight anymore at the end of the story

That was kind of my thought process behind the whole thing. He can give Kakashi both eyes for all the grievance's his caused between them. Cause I mean if she does the whole dimension swap thing again they're basically screwed lol.
At this point in the game it would be incredibly asspullish to give him some ultimate, awesome jutsu. It would be just waaaaayyyyy too convenient. Seriously, if you had this kind of jutsu then why the fuck didn't you use it all the other times they were getting their ass whooped?
Just give him both eyes and be done with it.

How would Obito giving his eyes to replace Kakashi perfectly good eyes even come up? There's no way that can be achieved organically without dragging out the manga even longer to have Kakashi go blind again and not have Naruto just replace it.

I think the 8 gates is a technique every ninja can do, but very few have the sheer will to use it or something like that.
I think maybe we are missing the obvious answer. In order to beat Kaguya Sasuke and Naruto have to go through a fusion DBZ style and combine all their powers. They live but the fusion is permanent creating Sasuto (or Naruske). So the both get to become Hokage and to appease shipping fans we get polygamy in Sasuto marrying Sakura and Hinata (and of course Sasuke and Naruto already being as close as you could possibly get).
