I loved this film so much when I was a kid.

"Maximum Overdrive" if anyone's curious.

I was waiting for someone to quote it. I almost got scared and felt really old for a whole 10 minutes.

This should get Japan out of is eternal recession if all gadgets get destroyed.

If Japan isn't making gadgets why would their economy improve? I suppose they could move to exporting all those natural resou--- ... oh wait ...

I guess it matters what you consider a 'gadget'.

Generally I categorize most CE devices as gadgets, but I suppose that's too broad.

People use the New York '77 blackout as an example of no one getting killed in a prolonged blackout, but after Katrina I think anything goes. Although many babies were made those nights in NY apparently....

Clearly we know whose residents are superior.

I saw this movie when I was a kid and it's been bugging me for years what it's name was. None of my friends ever seemed to know what the hell I was talking about and I thought that I must have just dreamt it. Thank you! My spirit is at peace.

Will god please stop playing with his food and just destroy us already. I'm so sick of his lukewarm indecisive bs. Pick a rapture and stick to it.

So did they say this would happen in the day?

I kinda envision a cataclysmic wave that will rock the planet and move it a few degrees back thus curing global warming.

Where is Dennis Quaid and his weather data models when you need him.

If I was at home right now I would post the deal with it dog GIF with him putting on his shades.

Every time I scroll by this thread I read it as 'Nazi scientists something something' and get my hopes up that Nazi scientists have finally come out of their base in Antarctica to show the world their UFOs and amazing technology :(
