OK so I just watched Harashima/Ohka vs Tanahashi/Komatsu and it was a lot of fun. Komatsu really impressed me more in this match than he has during his NJPW run so far. Great reactions, played to the crowd well and looked damn good. Now I'm watching Kamaitchi vs Dragon Lee and wondering how exactly New Japan's system works when they send guys abroad?

IRS has some of the best backstage segments ever, but as an interview, or a wrestler...yeesh. Tax tips? Repossessing shit (It's a shame he never had a long term tag team with Repo Man...) dressing kinda like a bad past his prime odd fetish male stripper? Those things he can do. Plus fighting in slacks makes an impression, especially with the tie and suspenders.

I always look forward to seeing him. He's a very interesting guy. I never understood him as a kid simply because he looked like a bozo.

I like the fact that his character is so strong even Ted DiBiase is afraid of him. You just can't beat those taxes lol.

Nooo, I know that. I mean the fact that he brings up you not being able to beat Taxes and the random appearance from IRS would've just been sweet.

Seemed more like a plug for him anyway lol

Traditionally the 3 main destinations for young lions on their learning excursions have been Europe, Mexico and the USA - Watanabe (who just returned as EVIL) took his to the US and Takahashi (Kamaitachi) started his in Europe before heading to Mexico for CMLL. Komatsu got to show a lot in the DDT match, while Tanaka also got a big opportunity by being entered in NOAH's jr. league this year - when a young lion starts getting more chances to shine it's usually an indicator that they're getting set to go on excursion. In truth, both Komatsu & Tanaka have been ready for some time, but there was no one to replace them at the dojo and take up their duties. Now there's David, Jay & Juice in the dojo and amateur wrestler Tomoyuki Oka about to join as well, so 2016 should see both Tanaka & Komatsu finally leaving on excursion. They usually last 2-3 years - EVIL's lasted 25 months, while Kamaitachi's been away for 30 months so far.

So tonight....is Mark Henry going to come out and puddle stomp Neville or is he going to be Neville's bodyguard or something?
After last week it felt like it could be the set up toward the huge heel vs the little guy that they seem to love so much in the WWE

FWIW, Enuhito has said that there are some other Japanese guys at the dojo, they just don't have the name recognition that Oka does. I really hope New Japan brings Komatsu and Tanaka back after one year. They need the new blood and those guys need less time overseas than someone like Watanabe / Evil.
