I think (initially at least) the bad guy is pretty much confirmed to be Colin Graves, played by Kumail Nanjiani. Although, this is Naughty Dog, I don't think it will be that simple. I think the main bad guy will be either the planet itself, or something (or someone) on the planet that isn't Colin Graves, and actually knowing Naughty Dog I wouldn't be surprised if we are forced to team up with him to defeat what is on the planet.
My personal current theory is that Colin Graves has killed everyone else in that photo (except Jordan), and so Jordan has a real reason to go after him no matter what the risk (hence the reluctance to try any other way other than go straight to the planet as mentioned in the cutscene). I think that what is going to happen is either, before we go to the planet we see what happens to the other people in the photo. It kinda looks like they are/were thieves (called the Five Aces) and so he probably double crossed them. and we chase him down, or, we dont see it happen directly but the planet shows us what happens (kind of like the Luke scene with him facing off with his darkest fears which manifested itself as Darth Vader, but this shows us maybe from Colin's memories or something). Totally guess work on my part, its ND, anything can and probably will happen.

She also put on a bit of muscle for Uncharted, but this is a game character, one who does lots of combat at that, she is going to be more muscular (especially as her primary melee weapon appears to be a sword)

Lesbian female playable characters go back a bit. Ever think about why that is? Or why even in this day and age we don't have gay male mc's?
"Representation" actually provides some cover-fire for studios trying to avoid mc's romancing a man.

I think part of the problem is that even though this is labelled as a trailer, it isnt really, its a cutscene mostly. But its a cutscene that kinda explains some of the main plot points (bounty hunter, after a target, hiding on a planet no-one gets back from etc). I think if it wasnt for this being the 10th Game Awards Sony wouldnt have released this, I think Keighley did some major butt kissing to get this one. I bet the next proper trailer we get for this will show loads of gameplay and everyone (well, those even partially interested in the game) will be really excited for it.
(and I expect many to eat crow)

As a game, for me it's in the top 5 of the games I'm most excited about. It's space, there are robots, space ships, some kind of laser sword thing and melee action, ND polish. Great stuff!
But the design is sooo boring. I just don't understand who they think will get excited by this main character. And that'll be talked about in all trailers from now on.

Edit: in fact, so many of you are so concentrated on what she looks like that you are missing the fact that this is some of the best (if not the best) rendering of a character in realtime (if it is indeed in realtime as they suggest, its certainly in engine, and from what se saw from TLoU2, I can believe it)

But yeah, you're not gonna get a gay dude in a video-game as MC like ever, sure as a secondary character with the trope of Mr perfect gay: handsome, good at everything, charming, gay but if he didn't mention it, you wouldn't know
That's why Billy in TLoU was such a highlight, dude wasn't perfect, he was a paranoid douche, funny too but a complete a-hole and that personality is what end up braking his relationship with the dude Joel find hanged, then comes the HBO series and make it a Disney happy ending love story that completelly erases such great character

Model is not only the head dude. Is the entire body that the motion capture will scan.
If they scan only the head and put above a male fictional body, will be no similar to her anymore.

No need to be pedantic, you knew what we was talking about. The argument has been that she is somehow ugly, and yet, here we see a video of her with a shaved head (and without makeup while shaving it) and she looks pretty damn close to the in game model. Now you want to talk about muscle structure, which there is an explanation of and you want a bounty hunters body to look like a slim non muscular actress? I thought you wanted some realism in games?

I just hate the main character, man. She looks arrogant as hell, that's my first impression when I saw her. Orson Welles called that type of person as having "chaplin disease", they just replaced the timidity with millennial quirkiness. I feel like Druckman created this type of character just to piss off the chudsters, which is a huge sign of how much of a hack he is.

I just watched the GI Jane movie trailer and I'm guessing ND wants to do something similar - they simple do not want the audience to find/view the protagonist as attractive; which is fair to say given the character shaves her head and has zero makeup. The problem is ND have done a poor job of showing us what the focus of the character is eg. capability it combat situations (which ties into gameplay mechanics).
So, people who find it particularly important to have an attractive protagonist will need to look elsewhere.
Ultimately it's fine to create a game where the objective attractiveness of the protagonist is not a priority, and many games have done this (albeit in different ways).

This will be Neil's Souls like attempt. I personally felt pretty meh with the initial reveal but im intrigued to see gameplay. The characters design seems pretty bland.
Are those RT reflections we are looking in the end? The sword covers the monster and you can still see it on the water. The name of the game is pretty generic.

I doubt its an actual Souls like, they may have more melee than their existing games though including swords, but that doesn't make it Souls like. They know their audience, I don't think they'll stray too far from what has worked for them, it certainly wont have Souls like difficulty.
(and yes, looks like there is ray tracing throughout the video, hopefully not just Pro or I'll have to buy one
