It's not just that, tbh. Utah has an altitude of 4226 ft. For comparison, the Nuggets have an altitude of 5410 ft. Portland is 50 ft, LA 305 ft.

Shaun Livingston said:
”Probably Portland, just because nobody wants to play in the mountains," Livingston said. ”I hate paying there, man. There's a reason why they got a good home record every year. The altitude, man, that is real."

They're being consistnt

I wonder if the Jazz have a much better than average road win percentage against the Nuggets

A critical Bulls offseason could feature subtle changes in front-office dynamics

The Reinsdorfs' belief in management's roster-building ability and talent evaluation remains strong, the Tribune reported in February, but the Bulls front office is small by league standards. Team President Michael Reinsdorf has been quietly gauging other organizational structures and is expected to push for more open debate, discussion and exchange of ideas between principal decision-makers.

Jim Paxson, the Bulls director of basketball operations and former Cavaliers general manager who drafted LeBron James, is an example of someone who could have an increased voice or role.
The outward perception of where John Paxson ends and Forman begins always has been somewhat shrouded in mystery. Paxson undoubtedly took a step back when Forman got promoted to general manager in May 2009, but Forman understands Paxson kept him on when Paxson succeeded Jerry Krause in April 2003 and advocated for his increased role.

Forman's voice and vision have prevailed in recent moves, including the hiring of Hoiberg and retaining Pau Gasol at the 2016 trade deadline. But Paxson taking a more public position in speaking at last fall's media day and after February's trade deadline stood out. And his day-to-day involvement increased over the last season, including taking more trips with the team.

Marc Stein said:
Among the changes Chicago is considering, league sources say, is John Paxson reclaiming more of his previous day-to-day control of the team.

RIP Bulls

Yeah that headline is hella out of context. Ask a dumb question so you can get a juicy spin for a story.

I'm sure every team in the West except maybe the Spurs would want the Clippers over the Jazz.

Zach Lowe put up a great article on Spurs - Rockets

That small -> small -> smaller Rockets to Spurs to Rockets set of adjustments might be the most Rockets thing ever

Question of the day: Do the Raptors go down 30 in the first quarter, or do the Cavs humor us for the first half and blow the thing wide open in the third quarter?

I just wanna watch Leonard guard Harden

I wanna see more of Beverley helping on Leonard, Beverley guarding Parker, Harden guarding LMA, and at least absolute destruction of Parker + Gasol on a pick n' roll that ends with Harden doing a Kanter euro-step and Pop mouthing "can't play Pau"

I'm thinking raptors might have a chance in this series.
Cleveland haven't had the best record in the 2nd half of the season. I hope the games are close at least.
Go raptors go

Go raptors go

They have a better shot than people are giving them credit for IMO

LeBron still gonna win though

If the Cavs make less points than the Raptors, I think Toronto might just win it. That's the key. Buckets.

Although i rather want Gar and Pax fired, Paxson taking over day to day is somewhat good news. He inherited an awful roster the first time he was GM and made the team good. Gar has inherited a good team with a superstar in the making and made the team worse and worse every year. If the Reindorfs can't hire from the outside, atleast demote the incompetent GM.

He was lucky that Rose fell on his lap. That's more or less the event that allowed the success of the Bulls.

I'm a spoiled man who only accepts Sam Hinkie. Everything else is a disappointment.

I know LMA hasn't been killing it and that Harden is actually a bit of a better post defender than he gets credit for, but this can't work consistently, especially with what Harden is trusted with on offense.

Who knows though - maybe it's just crazy enough to work. This series is going to be fun to watch.

Obviously terrible news, but this gives me hope:

"Look, what he's facing is fixable," Myers said. "It's just finding the issue and solving it. So I think that's how you have to differentiate what he's going through with somebody else.

"Some things are not fixable in life. Some things that confront people don't have solutions. There is a solution here. We just need to discover it, and we will. I'm confident we will."

For now just make Draymond player coach.

It gives me some hope, but at the same time I can't help but wonder what kind of treatment he's been getting for over a year now. I mean he must have access to the best specialists available, right? Why would it take this long to get the "right" treatment?

Yeah, that's worrisome.

You would think so, but someone botched his back surgery in the first place, he had the same access then.
