Raptors need to be playing Norm Powell and Tucker more. The Raptors are getting killed on the corner 3s, those perimeter 3s take by the Cavs big men, and that's what was happening the entire regular season series and last year's playoff series - the stretch bigs killing them. That's what getting Ibaka and Tucker was all about.

At the very least, if they want to play big with JV and Ibaka against the Love + TT lineup, at least play Tucker...

Tucker's played a decent amount. Powell is exciting but unreliable and doesn't help their spacing issues.

It's worth a shot but honestly, I don't see the solution. They really need a reliable 3rd wing player to match up with these lineups. The Carroll deal really hurt them both in money and in opportunity cost.

huh?

Toronto gameplan was absolutely brutal, they either start moving the ball better or they're getting swept. No flow to the offense and the defense is lost as fuck as well.

The talent disparity is hilarious. Derozan blows at passing so all they do is trap him and Lowry and watch bums clank shots. When the Cavs get the same shots they shoot 40% from 3 consistently.

I mean, Cleveland notoriously has issues with ball screens and their defensive rotations are a fucking joke, and what do the Raptors do? Iso everything or just let the ball die and take a contested shot. Awful plan by Casey, he needs to be fired if they don't find their shit.

I don't get it. That lineup to start the 3rd is classic Casey - he can't make in-game adjustments, and he went away from what was working. And it's been losing them the game. They moved the ball around, they had a good defense.

This Toronto team, when it moves the ball around, is great. Ibaka said it in an open gym episode: "We move the ball, nobody can beat us". An exaggeration, but sitll, this Raptors team is great when they play the Spurs/Warriors style on offense

Cavs defense was impressive, let's see if they avoid the 4th quarter collapse

Casey is such an awful coach. Dude needs to get his ass canned.

He eventually gets to the answer, and he's great at having so many rotations that he stumbles across the answer, but he's too often too stubborn about playing his rotations, not utilizing the great advantage of the Raptors that is their flexibility. He makes the adjustments between games, but he needs to be doing it in-game more

Masai better fire Casey this off-season.

Even if they do well, get Stackhouse in there while the Raptors still have the hotline on him. Imo, what happens to the Raptors at times is that they devolve into bad habits with the ISOs, and they're so much better moving the ball around. Bring a new coach in, who will force that in throughout the entire season, and this team is a finals contender.

That being said, this might just be the game 1 Raptors curse again.
