Interesting. They would build basketball arenas on the actual property? How many, do you think --like ten or so?

Really hope they find a way to continue on. I think this entire fiasco might last until the start of the New Year worst case scenario

If so they need to dedicate a basketball court to Kobe, one of the greatest clutch shooters of all time.

I doubt they are building “10 or so arenas” like the idiot above said. Probably just put up some hoops and paint some courts on unused ground.

Looks like there’s already an arena there at the ESPN wide world of sports complex. With no fans to get in and out they could probably do three or four games a day at one site.

Why aren't they doing what the mlb is planning to do.

Are you referring to the plan the talked about with going to Arixona and sequestering teams in hotels?

If so, I think that plan got scrapped as too many players said they’d refused. Also, that was unique as there are a ton of MLB team owned and controlled baseball fields concentrated in Arizona (and Florida) for their spring training leagues. There’s not a similar concentration of NBA owned basketball arenas in any area. At best they could try and work out an arrangement to also use several college arenas, but that’s trickier than MLB where teams own and control spring training facilities, MLB parks, and minor league parks.
