NBA Offseason 2017 |OT| Only Big Ballers™ Allowed *please pay $495 to be a Big Baller

Nobody is going to trade anything of value for a bunch of scrubs Houston just pulled from the scrap heap. Most GMs couldn't pick those guys out is a lineup.
That's the point of the salary dump. You're not looking for a return just to get rid of their contract.

If they made a move to package those guys for one player in that range before salaries increase on July 1 you're looking at Danny Green, Monta Ellis, Alec Burks, Shumpert, Asik type of value (that at least make that kind of money)

But since this isn't a TPE you could combine those 11.8 million (9.7 not guaranteed) with another player as well.

Here's the best explanation I've found on how Morey created 11mil out of nothing

Gonna be so fun to watch CP3 on the Rockets in D'Antoni's system.

Probably still not enough to beat the golden state god hand though.

Maybe Harden wanted CP3 because he wanted to take his game to the next level and actually putting some effort on the defensive end? Idk...

What are Harden's spot up numbers?

Not really. They were only healthy for the 2013-14 and the 2014-15 seasons and came 1 and 2 wins away from the conference finals those years. The Western Conference is extremely difficult. If the Clippers were in the Eastern Conference those two years they would have made the conference finals easily.

hahaha yea the Clippers would have beat a LeBron lead team plz stop

Isaiah Thomas played 13 seasons and was elite for 11, good for 1, and injury riddled in his last.

Magic played and was elite for 12 seasons and came back for an unimpressive final season in 96. Not sure how you're coming up with the fact that he's the only one with a long run of success.

Being an elite player =/= being successful

See Barkley, AI or, relevant to our discussion, Chris Paul.

Isiah was an elite player but didn't see much success until later in his career kinda like KG.

Meanwhile Magic was elite and was in constant contention for championships from his rookie season almost all the way until his HIV announcement. No other point guard has been that consistently elite and successful.

According to Zach Lowe, nobody has been interested in taking on Anderson's contract (understandably!), and their other pieces are Capela (losing him means no interior defense, but he's their best chip), Ariza (PG would replace him but he's cheap, offers good value and CP3 wants to play with him), and Gordon (their only really useful player off the bench at the moment). Their picks aren't likely to be all that interesting to other teams, either. And their roster is already really thin as it is.

Would Houston take Carroll and Nogueira for Anderson?

Barkley and Iverson got to the Finals and won MVPs. CP3 has done neither.

Chris Paul has a higher PER, better ORtg and DRtg, twice as many Win Shares. Man, you kids have short memories.

Yeah; folks are blinded by recency bias and THE RINGZZZZ. CP3 and Isiah definitely have better careers than Curry. Curry might pass them in the future, but CP3 was 1st team all-NBA 4 seasons..over Curry who has 3, and CP3 has 7x 1st team all-defensive to boot. Curry on his current arc will probably pass CP3 - but lots can happen.

It's the Harden vs Kawhi argument - how much does being a two way player matter? If Curry didn't have 3 other major scoring threats on the team and 3-4 great defensive players, would he able to be hidden on defense as much as he is?

Nah, Steph Curry has some cute a$$ kids as well:
Sucks those writers complained about those Riley pressers. Haven't seen her up there since.

Whew, Steph still underrated in 2017. Crazy times.

I don't know if the Celtics will meet Indy's asking price for George

Hmmm, so BKN, LAL picks plus some combination of Bradley, Crowder, maybe Smart.

I can't see Ainge doing that unless Paul George is signing a long term deal and even then I don't know. I mean if the Celtics offered them one of those two picks, a lesser pick, some form of Bradley, Crowder, Smart, does any other team beat that?

Late but comparing CP3 to Steph is hilarious
CP3 ain't shit
That choke in game 7 at home
That 3-1 lead choke
He's good but no where Steph level

CP3 had a legit center, good forward, spot up 3 point shooter, best 6th man , decent bench and couldn't get it done
