Didn't Dy vote for the law?
Wait what? How did DY vote for it? I thought it passed through the states legislature? Was it a referendum?

There are likely so many advertising deals and contracts of all sorts in place that it is impossible to just "do it". They've probably been in negotiations to get out of it for a while but are only just now able to actually do so.Then do it. No more about to, actually fucking do it.

If NC wants to continue to lose money over this they can do it. The sad thing is Charlotte wanting to create a protection ordinance is what started this whole thing and now they have to suffer because of the state government's actions.
Wow. That's very respectable.
The current issue is HB2, which was passed by the state legislature at the end of March of this year and then signed by the governor. It was not a referendum.
However, in the primary season of 2012, NC had a referendum called Amendment One that passed with a large majority that defined marriage as between one man and one woman. However, we know this has since been ruled unconstitutional.
Trump gotta bring this up tonight
Love hurts. The state spent almost $35 million on stadium renovations so they could host the game

Hey should have moved it to Orlando. Would have been very fitting.
To be fair so did New Orleans. 2014 in fact.Just built a new arena! But I think Orlando recently hosted it within the last 2-3 years.
Wow. Good for the NBA. Sucks Charlotte has to suffer due to the state (unless polling indicated support for this law in the city), but a good move overall to make.
There's a reason this law was rammed through the legislature and signed by the governor all over the course of a day.The law isn't favored in Charlotte and doesn't even poll well statewide. Recent polls from May put it at 44-35 against.

Not the state Charlotte spent that. This is going to hurt the city more then the state. The state spent almost $35 million on stadium renovations so they could host the game

Good news for Charlotte! Keep the overpaid criminals out!

I think people need to remember it's no small task to up and leave out of numerous contracts and then coordinate a relocation that will be optimal for all relevant parties and interests.
