It all comes down to where you determine his pivot foot to be. I've seen the replay multiple times, and I feeel his pivot foot was his right foot. Thus he only made one step and jumped. Bad call, especially to decide a game on it.

Yeah, I agree that it sucks the game was decided on a questionable call. To me it seems like his left is his pivot foot, but the CBS crew thought it was his right that was the pivot, meaning it wouldn't have been a travel. And while we have all the stills and slow-mo footage to look at, the ref had to make a split-second decision. I guess it would've been better if he had let it go, but he made the call and that's just how it played out.

Yeah, that's a VERY difficult call to make. The referee shouldn't be blamed for Villanova's loss. The Villanova coaches and players didn't even mention it after the game, and they shouldn't have. They played their guts out, they didn't need to complain.

Damn, Wisco is going to be crushed by UNC. I wouldn't be surprised if Sean May had a 20 - 20 game. Hopefully I'm wrong.

It is funny though how all the experts backtrack now on the Big Ten. I love it. It shows what good coaching and physical play does. Eliminates upsets and sloppy play. Wisconisn may of beat 3 double digit seeds, but two of those double digit seeds beat Kansas and Uconn.

Clearly a travel. Anyway, that will certainly be the worst game UNC plays in this tournament. When's the championship game? Next week?

Oh and here's my rankings:

1. Illinois
2. Louisville
3. UNC
4. Arizona
5. Michigan State
6. Kentucky
7. West Virginia
8. Wisconsin

I think Mich. St. and Kentucky could be interchangeable, but I think Mich. St. at the moment is better. Also, I don't see how people can say that Illinois isn't the best team left in the tournament; they've clearly proven that they are the team to beat. I put Louisville ahead of UNC because they are on a roll right now, having won their last 12 games and decisively beating Washington.

The only reason anyone would put the Illini down is Head's hamstring. But even then how could anyone put them below #2?

I'm dying for tonights games to start!

My last post on the travel issue. I question when the whistle was called. It seemed like the whistle came early, before the left foot hit the floor and the shot was made. I think the ref thought there was a foul, decided it might not of been a foul, and went the easy way out and called a travel. Anyway, that is over. The pictures posted don't do much to show one way or the other.

As for today's games. I'd like to see WVU and Arizona win. For some reason, just got to root for WVU. Although the two teams I really want to root for are playing against each other.

Anybody else think that Reddick is gonna be on a poster thanks to this play?

I think Seth Davis commented on that, saying "Reddick, you made the poster."

Oh, to all the Louisville and WVU fans (if you exist), I'm recording this game in HD and might dump it to my PC and cut it in to a DVD. Would be fantastic quality, given the HD source. Let me know if anyone is interested.

If somebody pulled a 3 that far out, and make it. I'd prolly cry like a bitch

I think I saw a small tear come down Rick's face. Louisville will come back before the half though.

Wow, the Cardinals are done. Why start out in the 2-3 against a 3pt shooting team? o_O

Halftime score is the least important stat in all of basketball. Louisville will be fine.

goddamit, Griese!
in the 2nd half WVU is gonna have to shorten the game hardcore. they're not gonna shoot half as well as they did this half, and louisville is a straight up better team.
but if they use a ton of clock on most of their possessions and hit a few occasional shots, they definitely can pull this out.

Another good game, WVU comes up short. I got to ask though, how in the hell was Louisville a 4 seed? To withstand the 3 point shooting WVu had tonight, and win it. That took an amazing effort by Louisville.

We're soooo over the seeding issue. The commitee knows they fucked up, we're just having fun proving those bitches incorrect. And fuck the commentators riding the jocks of WVU the whooooooole game. Hahahahaha! Such a sweet victory. The Big East is gonna be a helluva conf. next year! Pittsnogle was INSANE tho.. WTF!

By the way, Scorecard was most confident in this game, of all those in the Elite Eight.

1 Illinois 6.6559 3 Arizona 6.7047 48.05%
4 Louisville 6.3584 7 West Virginia 5.6318 76.63%
1 North Carolina 6.7856 6 Wisconsin 6.0930 75.57%
2 Kentucky 6.4965 5 Michigan St. 5.9188 71.83%

It predicts Arizona to pull the upset, but it should be wrong in one of these four predictions. Will North Carolina lose? Kentucky? Or will Illinois pull this one out against Zona? Intense.

WVU deserved every bit of jockriding they got. Louisville just played a heck of a game too.
It wasn't just the jockriding, because they did deserve their props... I could just tell the commentators wanted nothing more to see Louisville lose. :lol I'm certainly over it tho.

I had it recorded, but it wasn't in HD...I don't have an HDTV, will i see a difference?

You should. It will be widescreen, and should be about the quality of a pre-recorded movie. Won't know till I go through and cut out the commercials and re-compress it, etc.
I'm actually planning to record all the regional championship games this weeken, in HD.
