-F-Zero X
-Ridge Racer Hi-Spec
-Rapid Racer
...anything else?
R4 didn't run at 60fps??
There was an interview with an EA Canada rep who made special mention of it. They're pretty proud of the engine actually.dark10x said:You sure this runs at 60 fps? Where did you read that? If true, I'd be quite a bit more impressed. It's just that...a lot of DS reviews, previews, and reports have stated that certain games run at 60 fps...yet none of those particular titles did. If this DOES actually run at 60 fps, though, I'd say it looks really good for DS.

I'd rather see port/sequel to Beetle Adventure Racing on DS than this though...

Did PSX and N64 really look that bad? Been so long since I've played either.

Honestly, has 90% of all gamers turned into gfx-whores?
I myself started gaming on a C64 aback in 1986 (I know it was 4 years after the initial release, but I just got at the age of gaming in '86: 4 years old). From that era, I learned that some of the best games do NOT have the best graphics. Take Tetris from the GameBoy (Mono)... Isn't that considered to be one of the best games ever made?
Another example: Zookeeper. Currently seen as a great 'puzzle' game by many, but is that caused by the graphics? I think not. Heck: I know it's not.
It looks like a whole lot of people are spoiled with nowadays' graphics and appraised these to their 'standards'. I admit the PSP's NFS:Rivals looks good, I admit Ridge Racers on the PSP looks amazing, I know that Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit on the PC makes these screens look cheap. Fact is that the DS isn't a PSP, nor an XBox, an N64, a PC, a GameCube, a Playstation 2 (or One) or anything else. It's a Nintendo DS!
I wonder if people complained this much about graphics when the Game Gear and Game Boy were out at the same time.
