Neil Druckmann confirms Naughty Dogs other project and he is 'more of a producer' on it

I don't mind pre production stuff, but I think ND should be a one-project-studio at a time. A Sony's Rockstar. Shouldn't be ND job to fill PlayStation Studios Slate. There is another studios for that job.

So the tic tac headed king is going full hollywood, "working" in a producer capacity i.e. giving a few pointers to the director but mostly lending his name to a game so anyone in the "im 14 and this is deep" mindset (actually a huge chunk of the vg market) keep buying ND products.

fair enough

Pretty sure it is and yeah, that was really good.
I honestly need to replay it. I liked it on PS4 but I never truly have a blast with something at 30 fps, (not trying to start anything folks, it's a me problem), but I think I have it on PS5 as well, where I'm sure it has a 60 mode. Can't wait till I actually get some time to dig into more games.

I really hoped that the dude would fuck off to Hollywood / Sony's movie studios with the TLU series. It always seemed to me that that's actually what he really wants to do and gaming was just his plan B, because no movie studio hired him.

I think the whole gruff male protag from them is done. But I'm open for surprises.

Sorry, I meant that gif as a good thing lol. I've been wanting a game based on her and her dad. Sorta like the same way Nate was the young and upcoming collector with his older side kick Sully. Now Nate can play the old-man Sully role and Cassie can be Lora Croft\Young Drake.

It would be too cliché and full on jumping the shark with their tropes.

We already have a Lara Croft. People want more Nathan Drake, Sully, Sam, etc..

You'll still get those guys. Just not in the leading role. I can't see a way to have an Uncharted 5 game, where Nate is the lead character anymore. Maybe..............maybe if it's 50-50. Similar to Spiderman 2, I guess. You play as multiple people. Same, Nate, and Cassie. Kinda like GTA 5.

I'd rather have a Nate Drake only game with adventures with his brother Sam. Lost Legacy style side adventure. There's a wealth of stories there to dive into.

Nah, they will maybe mention the old guys briefly, but it will be about Cassie and her partner. Half of the cutscenes will be about lesbian sex.

I thought people in here liked tlou2?

What's going on with all the adruckmann hate?

No. Video games take too long to make now. If ND were to stay as a one project studio, then we would only get one game per generation from them.

Getting deeper into the playable Abby part of TLOU2 and he build just pulls me out of it. I thought for sure Abby was a man. Flashback in the game to her childhood puts a lot of doubt in that theory and honestly makes the character less grounded. To complicate matters, the childhood build is not of the same genetic freak variety she becomes as an adult. I'm a bit of a physiognomy nerd, and that structure is simply male. Beyond that face, we've got that shoulder to waist ratio, arm length and hand size. All nearly impossible when paired with her voice. I watch a lot of MMA and there's not a female fighter on earth with arms, shoulders and hands like that. Even Gabby Garcia is lacking that arm length and shoulder breadth. All this combines to just make the character retarded. I think it's still an activist design. If she's not a guy her character is still designed to be a trans hero. Neil probably triggered a huge part of the community when they heard Abby's extremely biologically feminine voice (a very sore spot for nearly all mtf). Almost every scene with her in it is ruined by those NBA player arms and hands flapping around everywhere. Trans Abby would actually be much less jarring because at least it could realistically happen. But then again this is a story in a future where somehow women have risen to occupy every seat of power in the world. Also doing the physically hardest jobs. Who's going to stand guard at the front gate? We've got zombies and scars constantly trying to get in. Oh I know, a pregnant lady.

No most hate it. They also hate Spider-Man 2 here. There's a weird hate for Sony games here. I don't get it personally but we're all entitled to our opinion.

It's like GAF is constantly on opposite day with certain games.

I hope he retires with The Last of Us Part III, or takes on a more diverse role at Naughty Dog.
He's probably a good person—I don't know. What I do know is that he injects something into his characters that doesn't feel natural once they're already fully formed.
The thing is, the public thinks of virtual characters as real people, and they become the biggest critics (rightly so) when something feels off.
