my sanwa buttons aren't mushy. haven't used seimitsu buttons muchRyder said:
In other news these buttons are freaking mushy, gonna replace them ASAP. Of the two, which are 'mushier': Sanwa or Seimitsu? I definitely don't like the mushiness, no sirree!
Also, dragon punch motions facing left... ugh. Time to get over this hurdle again.
edit: Also, wtf MT grats on the stick :lol My T5 stick has traveled long and far *sheds tear*
you sound like me.CcrooK said:You know that price will be changed. :lol
Edit: Still will order just in case. Save some monies!

anyone else swear by the VSHG?? I need someone to convince me to open this sucker up
jon bones said:I really can't believe that this they'll charge 40 bucks for that stick and not notice the difference. They won't fuck you, though... that much I do believe.
Taken from gamestop website:
Pricing
All prices shown are in U.S. Dollars. Store pricing may vary. Pricing for some pre-orders may be estimated. If the price of a pre-order decreases between the time you place your order and the time it ships, you will be charged the lower price. If the price increases, you will be given the option to keep your order at the higher price or cancel it.
MThanded said:My stick has an M engraved on the bottom. I am assuming this VSHG is a different revision. If that means anything. Do some of them not have the button problem?

My HRAP EX is going through an identity crisis.
It thinks it's a VSHG.
Of course I want to keep the stick lol. Has anyone downloaded street fighter alpha off of psn? Currently I only own ps2 fighting games. Any 3 button moves in that?Rocwell said:This thread had various VSHG tests going on, what I got from it was that some people were having problems with emulators and not necessarily with the PS3. I don't have a VSHG myself so I can't confirm either way.
I think a lot of the confusion comes from the fact that sometimes they'd be able to pull off moves and sometimes not and they'd chalk it up to user error, which doesn't really prove anything y'know. :\
So one guy from that thread was using Blanka's dash move as a test because it's just 3 buttons + <- for four inputs instead of a complicated super motion.
Just test it for yourself, you know you want to keep the stick anyway.
MarkMan said:I just saw 001's mod of his VSHG that has a switch to make his VSHG compatible with BOTH PS3 and XBOX 360....

akuma001 did that. PM him for prices.KyotoMecca said:First, cool thread.
Second, this post answers the question I was about to trawl through an answer for.
Third, will this dude be able to mod more of these? I would definitely be interested.
Also - I wonder if he can make it PC compatible also?
its standard pc compatible.KyotoMecca said:First, cool thread.

Rocwell said:If you have any games with training modes that display your inputs it will probably be easier to see whether you're performing moves right or not. Sadly it seems HD remix doesn't have this feature.
I think the SC series features this and would be an easy test if you have any of those games on hand already.
MThanded said:I have tekken tag, sc3,sc2 and tekken 5 right here. I need a move thats 3 buttons at direction though right?
SC2 doenst show command presses but i could do soul charge while moving in any direction 100 percent of the time.Rocwell said:well if you can see your inputs it shouldn't matter I don't think because if you're pressing 3 buttons simultaneously and only 2 buttons are registering on the screen 30% of the time or whatever the problem should be pretty apparent.
Doing soul charges (A+B+K) in soul calibur is probably a good test though since problems with Tekken are kind of where this whole issue came to light in the first place.
MarkMan said:The VSHG issue is only with Tekken 5: DR and certain emulators.
It also occurs with HD Remix.
Try playing classic mode and see how many times straight you can do Zangief's PPP lariat.
I have 3 VSHGs that are opened and they say 'S' or 'M' on the back.
I don't want to open my other one, but yea, you get the picture.
MThanded said:its standard pc compatible.
Also, I am a huge idiot and just bought alpha for ps1 off of psn and realized there are no 3 buttons moves. I was thinking of alpha 3.... So would someone be gracious enough to share hd remix with me. I already have it for xbla... I could play hd remix in classic mode and try the 3 button stuff if there is any.
OMG this stick is like butter. So much better than my ex2. wow!!!!

Will TE stick have any problems with any emus?MarkMan said:The VSHG issue is only with Tekken 5: DR and certain emulators.

NFBA definitely does.A Twisty Fluken said:Any clue which emus have the problem?
Sound like a plan. I really like the stick though. Feels light years better than my ex2. I cant believe how different the game feels now.UC1 said:MThanded: if worst comes to worst and you can't do ultras or whatever in SF4, you can replace the PCB with toodles cthulhu board or something, it's fairly easy.

Same thing happened to me, maybe the problem is that I don't have anything to rest the EX2 on, or its just that the stick is of mediocre quality.ZealousD said:Well, despite people insistence that playing with my EX2 some more would help, I've given up on it for Street Fighter and stuck with the pad. I actually play with the analog stick, which I'm sure is hell for some people, but I have no problems.
I'm probably going to keep the stick around though. Seems like it'll be good for when I eventually get some other XBLA games like Ikaruga and Soul Calibur.
he did my HRAP 3 posted several pages back. great work. do recommend._dementia said:akuma001 did that. PM him for prices.
Oh, and it's PC-compatible out of the box.

OMG.
I am SO happy.
I just COMPLETED my Hori Real Arcade Pro collection.
I got the almost impossible to find (limited to 400 made) Hori Real Arcade PRO SE.
WORD!
Yes Boss! said:Also, a quick question for anybody who knows. I've got a first run HRAP 3 and the buttons kinda wiggle in the sockets. Is that just standard for the Hori stock buttons? I never really noticed until I recently got my HRAP 3SA and the buttons are tightly fit.
I own 2 myself and love them. They're pure Sanwa, you'll get used to the sensitive buttons pretty quickly and you just need some practice getting used to the square gate.MThanded said:Can anyone give me a review on the VSHG? How it feels to play on it. I am tempted to sell but if I keep it I will have a good stick for the ps3 and a good one for the xbox 360(TE sf4 stick). Does anyone on here want to buy the stick from me. I feel like an amateur race car driver in a F1 racer. I haven't taken it out of the plastic yet. Don't want it to lose value in case I do want to sell it. I am ultra indecisive. MarkMan are you around to give me some words of wisdom?

I forgot to link my review of it (this was done when it came out):

BTW, if you don't like the button configuration, you can easily change it via quick disconnects (which is what I did on one of mine).
