Baron, chill out.

If it wasn't for the guys posting about there sticks I'd never gotten a TE today. I'm sure more people are out there happy to know the retail flow of these things.

And I'm also sure we'll see more pics of guys sticks with busty cartoon girls on the front soon.

just picked up my TE from gamestop. Already have a theme and background for it, probably start over the weekend.

Eh, I'm trying to be as civil as I can about it, but c'mon, this entire page so far is devoted to updates on people's TE sticks. I don't mind a few posts here and there, but if this is such a hot - and very specific - topic, why doesn't someone make a new thread devoted to acquiring the Madcatz stick? That'd even be more useful for you people and your TEs, as it wouldn't be cluttered up with all this silly arcade stick talk. :P

And actually someone starting a thread devoted to acquiring the TE stick isn't a bad idea.

Agggh I finally got buttons for my HRAP (thanks Bobby!!@) but I can't get the damn nuts off. All the 7mm nut drivers I have are too shallow. I gotta wait to put them in and it's killing me. So's playing this stick with no bottom on it. It moves around too damn much.

I know this is no better than TE tracking posts but I needed to share my pain. :(

My VSHG's button swap involved needle nose pliers in lieu of a nut driver. Really hated getting at those buttons.
 
Well folks, I've finally got my TE Stick, and let me just say one thing; this beast is beautiful! :D Here's some pics. Apologies for the crappy quality. Took 'em with my iPhone with kinda poor lighting...

My TE stick and wall scroll came today. I called GS earlier and the guy told me probably the middle of March. He said he hung up the phone and the UPS man walked in 5 minutes later. When I picked the stick up, they were begging for more preorders and I told them never from GS again after this mess. My stick is flawless and it is without a doubt, the best retail console stick Ive used ever. You did a great job with the design Markman.
 
Anyone know a place to order for the next run of TE sticks? I don'y want to pay the prices, but am willing to wait for it to come...

I think the gray market could be curbed quite a bit if a press release went out saying they would make them to satisfy demand and they could be pre-ordered on MadCatz site, etc.

I'd love to get a couple to play on.
 
im gettin kind of worried bout my order witrh lizardlick, i placed it a couple weeks ago and like an idiot forgot to double check my shipping address on paypal, when igot my receipt it said it was being shipped to my old work address! i sent an email to LL refrencing the order and the change of address but ihave not received ANY kind of reply. I called their biz line and no one picked up a couple times
 
I preordered 2 TE Sticks from Game Crazy about a month ago and they still have not come in yet.

They keep telling me unfortunately whenever MadCatz sends it out, is when they will receive them. They can't call and get an estimated date.

*sigh*
 
just received an email from bestbuy sayin my TE shipped! i didnt think this would actually go through, so needless to say im stoked!

They did issue one a few weeks ago.
 
Wow. Prices for arcade sticks are insane. I saw an add in Craigslist for the HORI Arcade Fighting Stick 3 for $120 Cdn. Isn't that a cheepo stick that went for $50?

That is not cheap, but seems like the going rate right now. About every stick is sold out in the US, and sellers are taking advantage of it.

Yea the demand is sky high currently as I was able to sell my used EX2 for $122 on Ebay last week.

Is that stick particularly good? I really want an arcade stick...but I'm really sure what I'd get with a $50 stick.

It doesn't hurt! The higher the better; anything above 200dpi should look nice.

So is there anyway to get in line again to get a TE stick when the next wave hits in April? I'm thinking of getting another one :lol
 
I don't have my HRAP3 on hand with me, so can tell me exactly which screwdrivers I'll need to open it up? I don't recall which ones I used last time I opened it up. I mainly need to know the name of the thing you use to get that nut off the screw. Halp?

I placed an order on Feb 24th and still no response. I sent a couple of emails this week to check the status of my order and still no answer, I sent the email to sales@lizardlick.com

I guess I will wait until next week to see what happens, if I don't get a response, I will cancel my order. What sucks is that I ordered some HAPP parts, not the Sanwa/Seimitsu parts that are on back order, but still nothing has been shipped yet.

For 50 dollars it is a decent stick and a good place to start if your unsure how much you want to spend or if you are a semi casual fan. For 100 plus, it is a rip off. If you're willing to wait a couple months, you can get a much better stick for that price. It depends on how bad you need a stick now. Seems about every stick is going for double what it is worth. The current markup isnt going to last forever and I bet you will be able to find some really nice discounted sticks after things die down.
 
Whoa! I'm not the only one finally getting their sticks (well, almost). Both Amazon and BestBuy.com shipped my SE and TE Sticks yesterday. Mad Catz finally delivered to all the retailers. Awesome. :)

Just make sure your SE stick is working good. I got mines after they said they fixed them. These where from madcatz themselves and it still broke =/

When did someone say we 'fixed' them? The new batch will have something noted on them to ensure customers it is a fixed version. Similar to the VSHG and the engraved letter.

another good way to get your stick fixed is to make a post about it on a couple forum's with pix and vivid language
