i think markman has said something to the effect that previous exar sticks were junk
 
Does anyone have experience with the Xarcade units? If so, Have you ever used the dreamcast and ps2 adaptors and are they any good? (lag)
 
Thanks Chriskun. Do you think I should avoid it then? If so do you have any options that I should consider? I hear about MAS sticks but I hear the wait is long and the they are kinda expensive. If anyone has some links to a stick maker for dreamcast and or 360 drop it please.

Now that TvC has a confirmation for NA what are you guys planning to use? I've got a few Wii sticks and I'm in the process of converting a TE into another...that is probably what I'll use. I've not really played my import copy yet so I might just wait for the stateside release before I jump in.

Anything released from Mad Catz would be welcome...even if it was just a fightpad!
 
I downloaded some drivers for my SE 360 Stick so I could use it for MAME, it works now but I can't change the buttons, when I press tab it doesn't do anything anymore, has anyone else experienced this problem? If so please can you help me :)

For PS2->GCN? Yeah that works. I set up a HRAP2 SA with a Cube Joybox and it works fine.

I might be crazy, but I kinda liked the way TvC felt on a pad. Only tried the game out for about an hour or two but I liked the Club Nintendo Super-Fami pad a lot.

:lol I started that project last month. I just want a really nice stick with a Peach image/wireless for VC mainly. Actually, buttons are arriving this week! Also, if anything winds up getting released for the NA version of TvC I'll pick that up as well.

in that annoying voice she has, haha.

I recently bought an SE stick, I had no idea how much smaller it was compared to a TE stick (this is a good thing as I plan to use it for the comp and desk space is limited).

Now to mod it with the same parts as if it were a TE stick!

Always wondered, whats in those sticks? I understand it's the SNK brand, do they use in house made parts for the buttons/sticks or a 3rd party?

An official SE release for TvC Wii would probably be my most ideal scenario. Don't have one of those and I'd love to mod it with better parts. The smaller profile and white body seem more ideal for Wii.

I'm looking for a good inexpensive Dreamcast stick. Does anyone have any suggestions and or links? Also to ask again does anyone have experience with the X arcade Dreamcast adaptor if so, is the lag that bad?
 
^^^If you don't mind a *not totally arcade-perfect* experience, I'd say pick up the Agetec DC stick for $40-$50. If you mostly play Marvel or just prefer American sticks in general look in to MAS Systems' offerings. They aren't as cheap though.

If you own a PSX/PS2 stick and want to just use a converter look into the Total Control adapters.
 
Upgraded my DS stick. Like a moron I ordered 30mm black for the Start and Select. I must have gotten confused since I was also ordering 30mm Start and Select for my TE mod. Now I'm stuck with jank Hori buttons for the next few weeks. Also, gotta put a Seimitsu stick in there for completion.

Got the buttons in for my Custom Princess Peach Wii Stick. Well, I ordered 30mm for the start and select like an idiot even though I've ordered 24s before. Bah, Lizard Lick was open today so now I've gotta wait a few weeks till they arrive. But below is the color scheme with some stock Hori yellow buttons. Now the hard work begins installing the Wiimote discreetly!

PS3 HRAPs should be $99 right?
 
I just held my fresh TE Fightstick sideways and noticed a clattering. It seems like a relatively small part (maybe a screw?). But how in God's name can something like that be loose in a newly bought stick? If it's not a screw, what could it be and should I be worried that this thing interferes with the stick/buttons?

Also, random question: which do you guys prefer? Octagonal gates, or square gates?
 
to above questions:

-put the stick in your cart and you can calculate shipping from there.

-i prefer square. a lot seem to prefer octagonal though. you'll get different opinions on this one.

oh god. i am in deseprate need of a real stick for the 360. i missed out on the first run. i guess i have to take the plunge.

way overpriced, but the options are so limited.

SEs and TEs are coming back in stock at many places..

If you keep track and keep checking those sites/stores you can find one. i'm not sure if you're located in the US but its not that hard to find em here if you keep checking..

And there is a good chance that Amazon might get a run of HRAPs stateside in the next month or so. I can't imagine Hori would miss an opportunity to cash in on BB and KoF.

Also, for the preorder for the HRAP EX at NCSX you might want to dash off an email and ask if it is the North American version with the new preferred button layout or the JPN version with the old layout (their photo shows the JPN version).

Which ps3 Hrap models offer quick disconnects?

Also, which ones come with a sanwa stick?
 
What I did to get mine was I kept an eye on Shoryuken.com's tech forum. If SEs or TEs come in stock anywhere, someone usually posts about it there in pretty short order.
 
I should also have an extra 360 TE coming in from gamestop.
Not sure if anyone wants it but if you are willing to pay the 163ish + Shipping (and maybe send me something small + cool) i can get it to ya instead of returning it.
UPS Ground (in the US)should be around $15ish from past experiences with boxes that size.
 
I'm going to bite the bullet and order a EX stick from NCS. I've given up on finding one so I've pre ordered it and I'll wait till July for it to ship...
 
Yay! Finally got my parts from Gamingnow. They had none of the clear white seimitsu buttons in stock so I made due with these. I'm not too concerned with how it looks right now cause it plays like a dream. :D
I've got some artwork I'm waiting to add once I get my clear buttons.
