NeoGAF Candy Swap Summer 2011 Edition

Have heard from my partner but not the partner for my friend yet, he has been online since I sent my message. Hopefully he's just busy at the mo.
 
I also heard from my trading partner...almost all the haul has been purchased and I will be firing it off into the post this week (looking at wednesday)

Ok, so this is the shopping and shipping week. If somebody ends up abandoned by their partner before shipping, we'll do whatever we can to pair them with somebody. I will be shopping tomorrow with Carmen and on Friday with Alba.

If any of you guys want to post spoilered pics, feel free to do so. You can also do little things like including notes with the history of that candy and whatnot.

Also, keep your receipts, both for the candy and the shipping! You never know.

Well, as of now DavidDayton is unmatched because I put it in with somebody who had dropped out, so if you can PM him and sort it out you'll save me a big deal of trouble.

Don't know if your regions and preferences quite match, though.

Hey if there is anyone that is from Japan that is interested in receiving candy from the United States, let me know! I wouldn't mind double dipping.
 
Okay, package sent! I ended up marking the $25 worth of candy or so down to $15 on the form, shouldn't be too suspicious. Should arrive in Brazil in 1-2 weeks (I went first class)
 
ahhh yeah.

Found a nice candy store nearby where I'm gonna be going tomorrow so I'm gonna load up on some treats there. :D
 
I'm a little worried about the partner for my friend. Took a couple of days to get back to my pm (although he had been online a few times) and when he did it was with a blank PM

I got way too carried away in Tesco and blew the budget. :D. Any of UK-gaf know who I should use to send my parcel to the states. Cheapest I've found for 4KG Is £29 with DHL.
 
Bought and sent my candy! My swapper is from New Zealand, so I'm really stoked to see what candy they have to offer. I hope he likes my stash -- I sent him some sweet stuff!

We have DavidDayton and Mdeezy hanging. See if you can swap with any of them (preferably DavidDayton, since he signed up before).

When I sent my box last year it cost £68! It weighed 5.5kg but that was from the post officw. I'll definitely have t shop around once I know how big my box is. I wish some of these fuckers would supply different box sizes.

The Crawf dropped and I forgot to take him out of the list, so you and a1m may go together. My mistake. The matching may not be the best, but what can I do at this point :/
 
Oh man, my partner is going to be quite happy, I expect. The candy/snack shop I went to today had so much stuff, I ended up buying 3 pounds of stuff, adding that together with a bit of the stuff I bought the other day and I'm almost halfway to our agreed upon amount.
 
So what's the cheapest way to ship to EU from the US? Seems USPS is my best bet so far, around $50 for a flat-rate box.
 
All goodies bought. Mr DHL man will be picking them up tomorrow. How exciting! Postage ended up being £31 for a box with the dimensions 37.5cm x 24.7cm.... Height being 15cm and the weight 4KG. Not bad I suppose

I hope Chairhome is happy with his swag. :D
