Picked up the sweeties for my partner today, feels good man. I think I definitely got a good mix of stuff and (I hope) mostly stuff that they would not have seen in shops in the US.
Just shipped my candy at the postal service, and brought one of the flat-rate boxes up to the counter and the guy working was straight up like "You don't want that box, it's going to cost about $45" "Yeah well that's what I expected to pay" "Grab a regular box over there and it'll only be like $15."
So wow, ended up being $20 to ship from the US to UK. Pleasant surprise there.

Tea and Toast hooked me up. You've made a friend for life, son! Haha. I feel bad, cause you have a lot more variety than I put in yours. Lesson learned: many bags of smaller portions is better than bigger bags with less variety. I'm really worried I didn't get enough stuff you might not have, but hope you enjoy mine, though!

Sadly the courier I chose never came to pick up my parcel today and they don't operate at the weekends so they said Monday is the closet day they have.
I took a picture before I packed it all up so I'll get a teaser pic sorted when I get back home.

Kinda had me worried when I opened the box and saw nothing but MLP. lol I found it pretty funny though and I thought the MLP candies were pretty good anyway. I wasn't expecting a game though so thanks a bunch for that!
Now I'm regretting not personalizing my package to you more.

Now, one more thing: did anybody get left behind at this point? I've been knee deep in work as of lately but maybe we can do some emergency relocation of swappers if there is an even number.

We have usually been getting forms of shipping that take between one and two weeks (shipping from Spain to the States). You have either that or the ultra expensive slightly faster ones. So just choose one that is not too expensive. If you work it out with your partner in case they are going to move or something like that.

No problem, I am glad the stuff didn't melt. The game and wristband I just figured "why not?"
Now I regret not filling the whole box with nothing but My Little Pony candy

This would've been the first time I could actually participate. I'm really sad that I missed it, it's one of the things I've always been waiting for. Well, hopefully I can get in on the next one.

Well, I responded to my dude once and said the price was cool that he had asked about. he sent something about the preferences of candy so I replied again but I guess he never got that. Then he posts in the thread that he found a new partner so I said, ok. I get home tonight and my wife tells me she bought 60 bucks worth of candy for the swap since Ive been working so much. (Im a mailman and everyone is calling in sick from the heat).
No partner so I just threw it in the dumpster. =x

I have been in love with a candy called Toffifay for many years except everywhere I go now I can no longer find it.
Walmart used to sell it but not now,along with many other stores.

You can still get that stuff in the U.K. It turns up in more places around Christmas. It's called Toffifee here. So good. That's no help to you though

I bought half of my candy in a popular candy/snack shop here in Hong Kong (Aji Ichiban), unfortunately for me (but not my partner) there was a sale-type thing going on where it was a pound of candy for half price. I ended up buying like 3-ish pounds of candy there and got less than halfway to our agreed upon price.
I just went into snack shops randomly afterwards to buy the rest, so hopefully there's a decent variety in there. I'm getting excited to see what kind of goodies Austria has to offer in terms of candy, and the receipt pic just adds to it.
I took pictures but the regular image hosting sites I use back home don't work here in HK. Anyone know of a good image hosting site that works here in Hong Kong? If not I'll just get my brother to host them up somewhere and e-mail me the links.
