Gotcha, forgot the timezone glitch.

Still looking for a trade partner in my Virtual Draft. Like I said, this is a Serpentine Draft so by swapping picks in certain rounds you may be able a secure a better position in a certain round and not be stuck waiting forever to pick again.

Okay, the NeoGAF Economy League has 12 players.

Please respond ASAP to the email I sent out. At this point I'm also going to start requesting the $10 dues from everyone. I want to get that taken care of before the draft.

i didnt get any email :o

Reminder: Please do an instant transfer form your bank account or wait till the funds are in there. Also, apparently there is a way to accept the transaction fee yourself when sending if you don't use the first 2 options. Also include your team name in the paypal comments

ps: I am reviewing all the info I have to see who I have to kick for non-contact about payment and who gets their spot..

10 have paid. 3 have contacted me about payment (this includes the post above even though I removed his team last night)

So there are 3 open spots. I am growing weary of this whole exercise and the waitlisters who pm me and pay first will get the spots

Eight out of eleven have paid.

I'm still waiting on payments from the following teams:

hope32
Long Island Broskis
Knights of Mars

Please send payment today or tomorrow at the latest.

If you haven't been getting my emails, check the inbox of the account you used to register. If you still aren't getting them, pm me for my paypal info.

Non-payers will be kicked on Wednesday unless I get a pm or email.

Also, for those of you who sent your draft date requests, thanks!

No one seemed to have a problem with Sunday, September 4th, so we'll go with that. 4pm eastern. If that doesn't work for you, let me know ASAP.

I don't see anything stopping you from signing in. Try again. If it doesn't work, send me your email and I'll re-invite you

Only 2 of the waitlisters contacted me and they've both paid. I am dumping everyone who hasn't paid/told me they will pay yet. That leaves 11 plus the 3 who have yet to pay. Only one spot left....probably

I'd be interested, but don't know all the details.

Hey money has been sent ( Rooks)

Glad you guys didn't listen to me last year when I suggested we make this a keeper league!

I'm cool with 12 or 14 if it comes to that

Oh, it'll be 16 but yeah some regulars aren't returning :p
I'm definitely on the "keep it 16" bandwagon. Especially with the $50 entry fee.
All of my pre-draft strategizing has been built around 16 teams.

12 have paid. The last 4 are folks who played last year but they have all said they will pay soon.

Sumidor and AlteredBeast, you guys should be able to sign back in now.

No more open spots....for now :p

Sent this email to the $10 league today. Since some of you don't seem to be getting my emails, I'm reposting it here:

Subject: Draft time changed and other info

Hey everyone,

Good news: as of today, everyone has paid up. Thanks for taking care of that.

I had set the draft for next Sunday at 1pm Pacific, but I got an email from one of the owners saying that he works at that time. Since I had only asked about available times up to the 3rd, he had forgotten to mention that to me.

After a few messages back and forth, we came up with a time that will hopefully work: Sunday, September 4th at 9am Pacific.

I realize this is an early weekend time for West Coast people. I live on the West Coast myself. Set an alarm or something. I really don't want to change the draft time again.

If you have an issue with this time, tell me ASAP.

Just so you're aware, here are the days that won't work:

One owner can't draft at all on Sep 3rd.
Another can't draft at all on the 6th or the 7th.
One can't draft on the 1st.
One works until 10pm Central on almost every weekday next week.

Take care,

- Puddles

16??? fuckkkk.gif

It's going to be another luck-or-fail season...

Yeah, 16 is too many, IMO. 12 is the sweet spot, and 14 is the max I think you can have before teams are watered down to the point that one injury can knock you out of contention. But if we're doing 16, we're doing 16.

Well, I did win last year. But yeah, it was crippling when Romo and DeAngelo both went down. Lots of clinging to waiver scraps; guys that have trouble getting 4 points a week.

I managed to win a 20-team league despite drafting both Gore and Romo last year.
I had to be hot on the waiver wire trigger to pull that trick off, however.

Did you get any of Hillis, Torain, Blount or Brandon Lloyd?

I started Jonathan Stewart for like 10 games last year. 4 points was a good day from him.

We had 16 last year and it was fine. I had a bad season not just because of injuries (Grant, Addai) but my other 2 RBs (Lynch and Forsett) ended up the same team >_<

I have set the waivers to prioritize by standings as well to keep things balanced...

ps: 13 have paid so far. We might as well start discussing the split. Top 3 or 5? How much? It'd be nice if we resolved this quicker than it took to get folks signed in lol

Honestly I thought we did. Okay how's this:

Season 1 was $20 with a $150/$80/$50 split among 14 teams (Dinner Out won)
Season 2 was $30 with a $250-$150-$80 split among 16 teams (Bail Kings won)

For 16 people:
1st gets 54.25% = $434
2nd gets 26.25% = $210
3rd gets 13.25% = $106
? = $50

Question is what is the $50 prize? I think it would he nice for someone to get a cover prize. If not re-integrate the $50 prize for something else.

Highest scoring team not to make the playoffs?

I sent out an email, but since some of you haven't been getting them, I'll post it here as well.

To the owners in the NeoGAF Economy League, would you be interested in having the draft order set in advance instead of 30 minutes before the draft? This would give you time to look at players who might be available at each of your draft slots and formulate a strategy. However, it would partially remove the advantage that owners who have already spent a lot of time researching currently enjoy.

If you guys want to do this, I'd probably also allow draft pick trades.

Let me know what you guys think about this.

We are just waiting on AB now. If he doesn't sign in by tonight, I will give his spot to someone else.

oh and since so few people are responding to the split discussion (Dinner Out doesn't post on here and Firstplaceloser doesn't post much) I'm gonna come up with a top 5 split and we'll go with that unless there's widespread opposition.

How about this for a top 5 split?

$325
$225
$125
$75
$50

5 of the 8 playoff teams getting a cut is pretty fair, no?
