Wasn't able to join CS:GO as I had a late dinner, so the server was full by the time I checked. How long do these usually go for? Just wondering about my chances of getting into the server today.

Edit: I set it to auto-join, and I think I got in, but got kicked xD Is there anyway for me to be notified when the server isn't full, while having CS:GO minimized?

I don't think I will be able to make RO2 until much later due to a sudden change of events. It would be much appreciated if somebody would like to take over lead for that.

Edit: Also, are we using Mumble for this?

Edit2: Am I the only one that remembered?

Edit3: Oh well, since no one else appears to be available to play, I'm going to go for now. If someone else wants to set up a game, I'll probably be back in an hour or so.

Hmm, I don't think this will happen. I tried the game out earlier. It was... interesting. Although installing a 23GB game to play it once is something that most people might not be willing to do.

So, under Grief's suggestion, i'm posting over here to gauge interested in competition in all of the most popular of Gaf's Steam games. For those that don't know, a decathlon is 10 different sporting (or in this case, gaming) events, with each player being awarded points based on each one, and the one with the biggest total at the end of 10 (Or less, in likely our case) events.

I've had so much fun playing Steam games with everyone, i've been thinking about how much fun an event like this could be, and wanted to see 2 things:

A. If there was enough interest. Certainly if there is, i will set up events, prizes, streaming possibilites, and makes this a really awesome GAF events.

B. What games would be included. Obviously, we'd want to pick things most anyone would have in their library, and also try to cover all genres and try not to skew in favor of any one type.

Stuff like DOTA and TF2 being free makes them prime canidates, but there are plenty of games i've noticed in this thread and STEAM-GAF and here, such as:

100% Orange Juice
Speedrunners
Ultra Street Fighter IV
Counter-Strike: GO
Chivalry
Tabletop Simulator

...and surely many other games that would make a great argument for being included. So, i'm asking all of you guys, what do you think? Would you enjoy watching/participating in such a competition?

I'm down for CS:GO and definitely Chivalry as far as paid games go.

I take it that you can't play tonight and the "yay?" was aimed that you having to play a bad game tomorrow.
Thankfully it's a lot better than it's original release. It's worth the 99cents at least.

I actually enjoyed what I played when it was still Dino Horde. Of course it was with people, the best way to experience it

A proper strategy game would be good to see, something like Age of Empires, Company of Heroes, Supreme Commander, or maybe the forthcoming Planetary Annihilation?

Starcraft 2,
with its recent spawn system is almost free.
Shouldn't be to difficult to organize some games.

-I'm setting up casual games in GAF server, for those that want to play competitive and wanted to warm up a bit. We can play in the GAF server for 1 or 2 matches. Then afterward we can switch to comp.
