Bought cheap Critter Crunch. Totally worth the $3.50... or the original price of $7.00!
And got a replacement copy of Yndi Halda - Enjoy Eternal Bliss
Original copy I recieved was in terrible shape. Jacket was completely ruined, the records were water damaged and the labels were coming off etc. Replacement copy arrived today in a much better condition

Could be like last mass effect where retailers had the game 2 weeks in advance. I was one of the lucky few that snagged one before it came out. A weekend before is bearable as far as early releases goes. Wish i was one of the lucky few this timeKing Chozo said:

I think this stuff is pretty much it for January since some of it was fairly expensive.
This is a watch that I grabbed sometime in December during some weird Amazon watch sale. Apparently the watch normally goes for $250 and I grabbed it for $50. (Stuhrling Original Men's Classic Swiss 'Ascot Terrace' Watch #602.33151)
Oh look, JoCo! The guests are Paul and Storm. They had an amazing concert together at PAX 09 and they've finally come to Vancouver. It is going to be fantastic. Pants.
Fantasy books. It was actually my first time reading The Hobbit and it was realllly good. I haven't done the Silmarillion or Unfinished Tales yet as I switched to Song of Ice and Fire. I've only just started Game of Thrones, but I'm really enjoying it so far. The other 3 are of course the original Dragonlance Trilogy.
Playing in a memorial hockey tournament for an acquaintance that was killed in Australia. I then discovered that my hockey stick had the blade snapped off so I had to go pick up a new one. Tavares style
And finally the main event. New headphones. These are Audio Technica ATH-A900s shipped direct from Japan. The thing clipped onto the cord there is a Zalman clip on mic as this will be used as my gaming set. The mic has fantastic sensitivity as it picks up everything I say even though it's hanging a good distance from my mouth. I already had the Sennheiser 595s on the side there.
And this is what lets me just put on whatever pair of headphones I want to use. The HeadRoom Total Bithead headphone amplifier. Yes, it outputs sound to both pairs at the same time, but it's not a big deal since you don't need high volume on either of these sets. I had music playing at listening volume through them with both of them sitting about a foot away from me and I could barely hear it. And yeah, the A900s don't really need amplification, but the Bithead disables the sound card when it's plugged in so I don't really have a choice there. If you're wondering how this works with a mic, I found that I could still use the mic input on the sound card while outputting sound from the Bithead via USB.

What's up?! 3rd post here (after my hello in the hello new members topic & my loot drop in the 'free to a good home' topic) and now to my most notably new pick-ups.
Finally got rid of my 6th Pre & got a HTC Hero (Love it so far) and picked up some chocolate on my way home from class today.

First a "pre-owned" classic controller:
Inner packaging still had all the seals etc on the controller (and I don't think outer packaging is sealed by Nintendo) and the condition seems news I guess it is new.
DS games:
I think that brings my total to 81 now. N+ and Neves were ordered from CeX (both were £4 each; which beats everyone else by a mile and then some). Professor Layton 2 was the GAME deal last week.
One off-topic thing I have to vent out is why do online retailers use work in progress placeholder box even after a game is out? Look up N+ on online retailers. The ones I looked at didsn't have the boxart posted above (the boxart above is the official boxart as it is the box shown on the official website).
