Seven Samurai looks incredible. Gran Turismo 5 is amazing. And I finished reading Ubik which was very good.

Toblerone rules too.

I know what AKB48 is, but what exactly is in this giant box?

It's a PSP game and the box is from the limited edition. The game, 3 making-of DVD's, kissmark stickers, 48 extra covers, DLC card and some photos :)

The whole December Birthday/Christmas/Post-Christmas haul :D

I have become one of the hive.

The BB and Casino Royale BD's look gorgeous, as do The Two Towers and Return of the King. Fellowship actually looks relatively muddy in some scenes, but oh well. Still need to get around to the others.

Some trades as well, trying to get around to reading more comics this year.

Grant's Atlas of Anatomy. I have quite a few anatomical/surgical atlases, this is definitely my favorite.

Christmas present from my girlfriend ;) Was fun to put together since I haven't touched LEGOs since I was 10.

And lastly, an awesome little hardcover sketchbook with some really nice thick pages.

That paper looks awesome. I want to draw on it right now. :p

And I got it from Barnes & Noble of all places :lol My local art supply store doesn't even sell sketchbooks this nice. Meh, one more reason for me to love Barnes & Noble.

Pickup Dark Knight if you don't already own it, and make sure the release you buy has the IMAX shots in it. You'll be absolutely blown away.

I think NCS is supposed to get them today or tomorrow then the week+ to get here. Funnily enough, I'm in Germany which makes it all the more comical. Should be worth the wait, looks like an inspired shooter.

I haven't heard of any other live orchestrations of NSMB Wii anywhere else yet. The chorus sings the "wah wah" parts in the songs, its a medley that covers above ground, fortress and back to above ground (snow level?). From what i've gathered these pieces were featured in the Tokyo's Press Start Symphony of Games Concerts. Which unfortunately don't release many live recordings, only other one i've seen is the press start 5th anniversary cd.

Oh man, I've been looking for that ICO poster on eBay. All I find are these tiny A3 posters, yours seems bigger. Where did you get the image from? Maybe I should let it print too instead of getting garbage ebay garbage*.

Actually still awesome, but smaller..

Mine is 50cm (width) x 70cm (height). I got the artwork from here: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=10846753&postcount=307 and it was printed at an online print shop.

The results are pretty awesome if the source image is big enough. :)

Long time no post.

Got lotsa stuff, just too damned lazy to take pics :lol

But I got something neat-ish today. Some new speakers for my turntable. Before I was using my 5.1 set up which is fine for movies but... iffy for music.

Click for full size

They're M-Audio BX5a monitors.

Of fucking course, though, the cables haven't shown up yet :lol. And I'm not paying $18 from radioshack to hook them up when my $7 cables from Amazon will be here soon enough.

I did some re-arranging of my records too, and got rid of a ton of my old records. (Stuff I'm never going to listen to) Now I have more room for my new records :D. (here's how it used to look, and the same record being on top to the left was not intentional :lol)

Some new stuff from recently that may or may not be visible in the picture
Grinderman - Grinderman 2
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Nocturama
MGMT - Congratulations
Bob Dylan - Blonde on Blonde
Wavves - Wavvves
Local Natives - Gorilla Manor
of Montreal - False Priest
Weezer - Pinkerton Deluxe Edition

And I tossed the boxes in a corner for the time being and as I was going to get a drink I noticed something :lol

Nice speakers and vinyl collection :)
I wouldn't put the monitors in an IKEA Expedit though. They're like a hollow body for the sound (especially the bass).

I'll have to see how they sound in there. I was worried about that as well. Only issue is I'm not sure where else to put them... with out moving furniture. :lol (and I imagine moving that shelf + records alone would be a pain in the ass. Letalone any other piece of furniture)

Neo Geo pad finally arrived. Took 28 days cause I thought it cool NCS offered media mail on hardware. Big mistake!

Love the big feel of it. Only minor gripe is the ugly Sony PS logo, but minor.

Time to play some Neo Geo games on PSN!

Picked this up because I always wanted a vending machine. Don't know why, they just look cool.

Welcome to the club :D Makes all other laptops feel like oversized monsters. I could hardly believe how BIG the 15" MBP was when I picked it up again at the store. Took a sec to wrap my head around it.

lol...yea I worked for apple back in 08 when they were trying to push the original Air's and didn't like them...I saw a whole bunch coming back with damage since people didn't understand how light they are...

this thing is so sturdy and light...it's amazing...I am bummed they couldn't cram an SD slot into the 11"...but aw well...I have a sunroof that I never use as well...

and the battery lasted just over 4 hours after heavy video and web surfing..

Big ups for your parents collection of vinyl on the left. Everybody needs some beaten up Supertramp LPs!

Bonus points for the Of Montreal & Sonic Youth LPs.
Actually, they're from my sisters fiance. My dad, for some reason, gave away all my moms and his vinyl before I was born around when tapes/CDs came around. :[

Luckily my sisters fiance had just bought ~10000 records off a guy who had been collecting for ages so he had more than a few doubles of all sorts of stuff in there.

Boo. Without my collection I never would have listened to Jose Feliciano, Supertramp or Harmonium. My girls will get all my vinyl when they're older.

Nicely done. Even some of the bad ones you find are worth it for the artwork alone.

Yeah, my dad is really bad for just giving stuff away :lol. Not as bad now, but when I got my n64 (but no games since they didn't know what was good) he gave my sega away. I got a game or two pretty soon after I had rented a few games.. but still.

And with some of the used records I got from him there are garage sale price tags/writing on the covers of some :[. But he gave me a heap of old/good records for free, so can't complain too loudly.
