It's pretty funny how you guys beef the new team even though it's not exactly hard to gather a better team. What's wrong with a little bit of rivalry? Best of luck to both teams. If club hopping is allowed in the new team, I can drop by every once in a while to play a few games in NHL 13.

you are making some sweeping generalizations there my good man
#1) not everyone is giving these Madden/NCAA/NBA dudes a hard time, I couldn't honestly care less what they do or who they take. I wish them well, I popped in their thread last night and read up on these dudes and this "invasion" started out with good intentions as they seemed to just want to have another team oriented game to play between their Madden sessions which is perfectly reasonable.
Some of the clowns on our team (i.e. 90% of people who post in here regularly nowadays decided to turn it into a impromptu pissing match for no reason. To each their own I guess. I'm too old for these internet tough guy fights.
#2) and more importantly, I know you are pretty damn good player, but you are grossly underestimating what we are doing right now by saying its easy to make a better club then what we have here.
We may have been shit in the 5 or 6 games you've played with us this year and your buddy Milly loves to down us, but the fact is we have been wrecking shit for the past couple months once the chemistry has come together and your boy AKA our best player doesn't even play anymore. I'll take our top 5-8 against any club outside top 200 right now.

Well.. You are one of the top I assume.. I havent played much with GAF but lots of good players that arent greedy and likes to make actual creative plays..

I completely agree with the bold part.
After all those jabs back and forth, it'd be pretty funny (yet embarassing) if the Madden crew won you guys when the game came out.
Who cares? They came into our club thread and we traded some insults. I don't think anybody is going to cry to their mommys about a potential two club rivalry. And do you expect us to tell them we are going to lose?

only 2 or 3 of the bunch that plans on playing have any idea what they are doing
they are going to be at such a huge disadvantage not knowing shit about hockey, they arent going to fully grasp all the controls, will have no idea to play off the puck and have absolutely no chance on D. Their only hope is that the improved goalie A.I will keep them from being humiliated long enough to figure it all out. This isn't trash talk or talking from a high horse, it's simply the reality of it.
you are overestimated them right now. I don't doubt a few of them may turn out to be good players eventually, but out of the box they have zero chance at beating our current core group

The way I look at it, you go into another clubs thread talking about how they are recruiting 'our' people and how they are going to take over, expect the trash talk to ensue. No one is being a dick here, if you can't handle trash talk then you aren't a hockey fan. That shit's part of the game.

I learned Fifa and its controls fairly quick. And got good pretty quick. My knowledge of soccer was minimal going in. This shit isnt rocket science.
Big difference between getting a grasp and playing guys who have 1000+ points. No trying to be a douche, just sayin' that's how it is.

Legit is about due to buy another copy of the game anyday now, just tell him to pick you up another copy, we will strap it to one of Blinding's runaway horses and that shit will make it out to the country in no time
Playing good positional, collective D goes a long way.
Really what we should be focusing on is when you get back your best, best player, that dude named Revenant. Remember that goal he scored off that D Man's head? or His ability to hit 4 posts in one game? Or his amazing drop pass in the defensive zone?
I guess what I'm saying is, Revenant is clearly the heart of this team and we should talk more about him and how great he is. Don't be bashful to tell the man about his greatness fellas, he understands you might feel inferior talking to him but he is a fair and benevolent hockey demigod.

I have no clue what is happening in this thread anymore.
I'm also pretty sure that I'm not good enough to be on the A team by the sounds of it. So I'm going to split off and create my own D team. It'll just be me playing single player on Rookie.

You guys are too good for me now, with your coordination and your 'rules' and your 'defense' ... I don't want to bring you down.
The only rule we have is don't pass it to me at the blue line, Show's newer and even he's figured it out! I do have my own personal credo though: "make Legit do all offense". It's crazy effective

Last game I played I couldn't figure out how to pass at all, so that won't be a problem. Viz might remember that as the game where we figured out that my controls were set to "Classic" and there is no way to change it from in-game.

Playing goalie in OTP makes me want to cut myself. 26 saves and we still lost 5-2. Does no one know how to play defense?
