Ok, it's time for the heavily expected Smash Brother's Team Tournament! Let's go through some things quickly:

*Max 32 Teams for this tourney
*No Stages are banned
*No characters banned
*Items are OFF
*Team Colors must be decided beforehand
*No Dave's Rule

That's settled? Good! Now onto the good Stuff!

Format
1- Best of 3
2. 4 Stocks per player!
3. Double Elimination
4. No time limit
5. FRIENDLY FIRE IS ON AND OFF

Now a touchy issue... Friendly Fire. It was debated on the Smash IRC, and it all came to a coin throw. The coin said Tails, which means FF is suppose to be turned ON. At the end of the process, the voting was 9-5 Now, in the coming sign up process, you will post as this:

1. Team Name
2. GAF Usernames of the two teammates
3) Respective Friend Codes
4) Friendly Fire: On/Off (pick one)

Do not enter a Friendly fire debate in here!! If enough people (60%) choose for FF to be Off it will then be turned off.

Flow

Match 1: Stage picked beforehand by Relix
Match 2: Stage picked by losing team of Match 1.
Match 3 (if required): Stage picked by losing team of Match 2.

Things to set on your game
Both players must set items to off during tournament matches. It randomly picks one person's item settings.
Both players must choose the stage chosen for the match. It randomly picks one person's stage settings.
Host set stock to 4.

Prizes
To be determined =). Probably will be Wii Points or something else. Figuring it out!

TOURNAMENT BEGINS MAY 15 2008

If you need a teammate you can ask for one in this thread. I will be very strict with the time limits between rounds as I don't want this lasting even half as long as the Singles tourney! And yeah, I followed Firestorm's format for this thread. Sign Ups also go in this thread!

Also who in their right mind would play with friendly fire on in Smash Bros? True, it could give your team the advantage, but it could also be a detriment.

Well anyway, if anyone comes through this topic and needs a partner, im still up for one. Just PM me with the specifics. Also I guess FF would be ok to be on. Especially since it's an itemless brawl, no final smash mishaps.

EDIT: Also if I manage to team up with someone for the tournament, i'll try to get each replay recorded and posted.

I was so waiting for someone to post something like this :lol . Really, let's try to keep the FF convo out of this thread and use the official to discuss it, since this one would get too cluttered with the arguing. And... WE STILL NEED MORE TEAMS! GET ON IT!

I'm not fond of friendly fire in a game as hectic as this (even with items off), so I vote against it :p
