^-- Oooh the green dial really works with the gold hands. I like that fat hour hand too.
my grandfather left me a rolex submariner, it looks exactly like the watch below except it has a black faceplate, not blue. ive worn it maybe 4 times in my life, becuase im too careless and dont want to risk breaking it.
They wouldn't be so expensive if they were easy to break.
Agree with the others. As a dad who is trying to build up a collection that can go to his kids one day, I'm betting your grandfather would have loved to know you will wear and enjoy the watch, even if it does mean a ding or scratch on the case every once in a while.understood, perhaps because it was my grandfathers im a little too careful with it since i wont be getting anything else from him.
Ordered a black Orient Ray just now. Can't wait.
Bought this whilst visiting Japan a few weeks ago:

I would ask the eBay seller Trusthonestman. Even if he doesn't have in stock, he sells enough Seagulls I imagine he can order one.I'm looking to pick up one of those Seagull 1963 Air Forces. Does anyone know a reliable site that has them for a fair price?

If you are in the US, you can also email Kevin Ma at US Seagull and ask. You can google for his email.
I need a leather strap for my Timex Weekender.
Crown and Buckle does leather NATO straps and is having a Cyber Monday sale.
Can you show this on your wrist please? I have small wrists and really want this watch.
where are you located?I'm looking to pick up one of those Seagull 1963 Air Forces. Does anyone know a reliable site that has them for a fair price?
The black will wear off the clasp rather quickly on that Skagen.

This one is amazing, but its not 36 mm like the weekender...does that matter?

Reached out to Kevin Ma at US SeaGull. No luck there. They seem to be out for now. Considering an orient for the time being. Not sure though. Any experiences here with them? What's the general consensus?

It's true. I don't have that model but it does wear off on the surface. I have it shown here:
Wow, how did I miss this thread? I love me some watch porn.
I missed wearing a watch after seeing the thread where people talked about Obama's watch, so I went and bought a new one. I've always had an affinity for Skagen watches and their minimalist designs. Should be here by Wednesday.

Just thought I'd post a pic of the Tag Heuer Aquaracer that I bought at the beginning of November, tax and duty free while I was on mah cruise. It's glued to my wrist as long as I'm paying the financing payments.
It might be the perspective but your wrist looks tiny compared to that watch.
just dropped the hammer and bought the Orient Mako. If you plug in the code 'youtube30' on their website right now, you get 30% off.
Question for you pros: I want to put a nato strap on it when it comes. I think I will 22m bands, am I correct here? Also, will I need any special tools to do this or am I better off just bringing it to a jeweler and having them do it?
They used to have a bunch of 50% off codes a while back. I own a Mako myself and I liked it, but now the day of the week doesn't work - it's stuck between monday and tuesday. The push button for the date is stuck now also. The year warranty is over so don't really want to pay to fix it since it was only $90. Nato strap is awesome though. Blue Mako with gray/blue strap is nice.
Now I need a new watch though
Christmas present to myself.
Does watch-gaf help with watch requests that are not premium priced? I am trying to decide on a decent g-shock for daily use, I've been looking at e.g. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B005FEYB2Y/ but I am confused by the many models! What features should I care about and are there any g-shocks in particular I should consider? Pricewise, I wouldn't mind going up if it's worth it.
I always found the bluetooth models, e.g. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B009ELZ8ZS/ nice, but I don't see them a lot around so I assume they kinda suck?
