Is there a good alternative to Boxcar for push notifications? I use it in conjunction with Google Voice but Boxcar has been sending me notifications 2 days after the fact and that's completely unacceptable to me.

Yeah, they tweeted about it yesterday - it's a problem all third party apps are currently having.

Ahh, thank you. Looks like they'll have it fixed today.

I had to completely rid myself of Boxcar because of how insufficient it was. It updates well for 2-3 days, then turns off for 2-3 days. Very annoying.

I got like 30 boxcar notifications this morning at 6:30 am! That was really fun to wake up too! I use some custom notifications for some software I'm running and I just added pushover to that. You could use prowl as a almost drop in replacement but the app looks awful to me!

I got 4 texts from Tuesday from my boss at 10am this morning. LOL.

The only aggravation I have with the Podcast app is the organization of the "Unplayed" playlist. I would like to listen from oldest to newest, but the list is organized from newest to oldest (despite the fact that all my podcasts have been organized oldest to newest). So when a podcast is finished, it automatically picks up with the next in the list which is not a newer, but an older podcast.

Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.

You can sort them Oldest First in each podcast if you go into Settings (click on the podcast title). There you can also subscribe, etc.

Best browser is finally here (today). All others can now be deleted!

I'm so torn. I like Safari on iOS. It does its job, but Chrome!

I might have to stick with Safari until Google gets rid of the address bar not disappearing when you scroll down. Swiping sideways to switch tabs are cool, on the flip side.

Oh man, for a 1.0 Chrome is so good. Hopefully the continue to support it. I liiike it. And now I can have all my tabs and bookmarks synced between desktop iPhone and iPad EXCELLENTLY.

I really like the tab system, and the absence of a full screen mode is disappointing. However, unless I'm missing something my biggest complaint is how you refresh a page. I was really hopiung they used the 'pull to refresh' mechanic, but instead there isn't even a refresh button. You have to first go into the drop down menu and then select refresh from there. Yuck.

what's so good about it? bookmark syncing and....? I guess I'm comparing everything to iCab Mobile now, which has several built-in apps, it's own downloads folder, dropbox support, ad filtering, etc.

I can't find Chrome when I search for Chrome or Google Chrome from my phone...

That sucks.

15 seconds in and it's nicer than I expected.

What what it has a refresh button right where it is in desktop chrome.

Chrome sticks around for password syncing alone. It's a shame that Apple won't allow third party browsers to use different rendering engines or Safari's native JIT javascript compiler.

i refuse to pay 1Passsword's iOS extortion after already buying their desktop app.

On the iPad Chrome doesn't look too bad, although it's just a clone of the desktop version. I just wish it would be possible to disable the "Most visited" tab on the New Tab page and have multiple tabs for my bookmarks instead. One tab for each folder, for example.

There is a refresh reload button next to the address bar

Chrome is brilliant on the iPad.

Just wish there was a bookmarks bar. Tab sync is great. Yes Safari has that too but Chrome syncs my settings and extensions too.

Shared tabs across devices is SOOOOOO good.
Yea it's really brilliant. Makes things so much smoother and easier. My desktop, MB, iPad and iPhone are all in sync now.

After trying Chrome, I could possibly be won over from using Grazing, I guess.

I'd really love to see some gestures though, in it's present state it's pretty much unusable, but for example:

Two finger swipe up/down would jump to the top/bottom of the page
Three finger tap would make it full screen
Four finger tap to close the page
Swipe right on the last tab to open a new blank one

Luckily most of these are covered by a jailbreak, but I'd really love to see them implemented properly...
