I've never been to a con or anything, but I made this costume for a Halloween contest 5-6 years ago. I lost to Elmo. Can't believe it's been that long. Wanna make something new, but I don't really know what. :/
Does anyone have any experience with creating stuff from scratch for Cosplay? Getting started on a Division outfit, but need to make the glowing box on the backpack strap and not sure where to get started.
Might want to revive the cosplay progress thread ?
This is exceptionally good
I am a writer in Brazil and I absolutely love cosplay and art in general. I usually try to hire a lot of good artists to draw my characters and I also suddenly had the idea to hire cosplayers to do some of them. Cosplay can be very hard, but I do have a more "common" like character to cosplay named Elisa that is basically a gunslinger that changes hair color. She has the power of four angels inside her body and her hair and abilities change depending on which angel is "active" at a time. Here are some cosplay/modelling shots done by Captain_Irachka.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck yes. That's awesome.
Dunno if true. This is historys first recorded cosplay.
Forrest Ackerman shocked everyone by going to the 1939 Worldcon in New York in a homemade science fiction costume.
Ackerman, together with others like David Kyle and Julius Schwartz, were known to later generations as First Fandom.
Now, that's a fuckin' cool cosplay!
