Ehhhhhhhh like I mentioned before I would never recommend adding DEF to any MAG but it's not a wrong way to play I guess.....personally I went with a 5DEF/0POW/45DEX/50MIND build to make my Deva (Which you could also use to make a Savitri, Pushan,Rukmin,Nidra and Sato) but otherwise congrats.

Not sure if posted already about the Love Check mini-quest in TTF.

I would normally agree with you, except for the character I'm planning DEF is the lesser of two evils. As a matter of fact, I'll probably be unarmed most of the time, for the faster casting of male FO's. I'm going to be nuking shit and a support role as a FOnewm. Stoked, can't wait to play it.

Well than.....thanks for testing that for me since I couldn find a partner to test it myself so now N.A needs to enable the reward since it's clearly there based on the message and I'm sorry you wasted your time while receiving nothing because I don't see why the Luck Material would be locked to begin with.

We ended up barely making it out, after I ran out of Mates and Moons. Luckily, you carried us pretty far.

Thus ends my luckiest day on PSO. Saw 2 Del Rappies (that dropped squat), a Blue Rappy that dropped an Inferno Bazooka, a Nar Lily that dropped a Wals, 2 consecutive VISK drops from Hildas, a Varista, a Bloody Art, a Cross Scar, and a few others that I already forgot. Not a bad day for a lowly lvl 59.

You were going to take Jemma through Falz? That'd have ended up just like my trip through the other day. Grants death ahoy! Not going to be any sync left on that poor mag after the ep IV boss and Falz lol.

I anticipated Jemma dying to Grants so I hugged her and used up moons while zerging falz, I just happened to d/c at the end when falz was almost dead and soul siphoning poor Jemma over and over again. Glad they were able to make it through alive afterwards

Grats on the levels either way

Heads up, I'm picking up MGSV:TPP tomorrow night, so I'll be busy playing that along with schoolwork, but anytime there's an ult group going, invite me. I'll be checking from time to time

Even with 4 hp slots (general/hp, dragon/hp and 2 digger/hp) I couldn't survive the grants ^.^; Next time I have to take on falz above my level I might try stacking light resist instead to see if that manages it, seeing as it's pretty much just the unavoidable pillars and grants that are killing me

Thankies for the 'zooka Foodfood, next time I play I should be able to get enough ATA to use it and then we can see this crazy FOmarl animation for it. I hear they hold it like a pistol :3

Is the mag cell to do a pitri good to use as a main mag?
I'm building a new mag as everyone seems to think ranger mags should be all POW, but I want to give him a special look.

Also what should I do with those evade and def mats. No one wants them!

And I'm near 120 but still unable to run Ult mines or Ep 2 solo. What should I do from now on?

Maybe some rare hunting. Very Hard Ep IV would be ideal but has the problem that Greenil doesn't have a great selection there (plus is not too fun for rangers what with the desert having teleporting enemies and all areas having the ranged shot immune lizards). VH Ep I has a few handy things like God/Arm and Cure/Paralysis (and at way better rates than the same drops in Ultimate).

For God/Arm the most efficient way is a bit grindy in that Endless Nightmare 3 doing the first room destroying 12 Dubchic and then aborting the quest.

God/arm was on my list even if I'm not fond of those. Maybe because atm I need to run more Fakes in White to get a better Guard Wave (mine is only one slot).
Add Slots won't show up on my ID I've better chance to farm luck materials in Rappy's festival. Also need more photon drops.
EN3 could be a welcome change of pace.

Anyway once when all of this will be made I put another tentative list:
1/ QUEST Secret Delivery
2/ GVT Unlock up to Ruins (defeat VolOpt)
3/ QUEST Dr. Osto's Research
4/ QUEST Doc's Secret Plan
5/ YAS.3K R Gilchich in Mines, Soul Of Steel, & Unsealed Door

At one point buddies to do Gvt quests will be welcome :)

@Jackano

It's probably more efficient to set aside 3 photon drops for 3 add slots instead of looking for a 3 or 4 slot rare armor
I will follow your advice, even if I think I'm short on PDs too. Will look for them in Ult eventually.

I just did 4 runs of Fake in White. Del Rappy was a no-show. On the plus side, regular rappies have been wayyyy too generous with their drops. I now have angry fist for everyone on the server. Seriously I got 6 in those runs, in less than an hour. Do you think they could have drop PDs? No. Boxes too have been equally generous with pow mats too.
Nearing 120, have to work now :/

Regretting staying up yet? =P I know I am for staying up for as long as I did. Technically I was up long enough that I could have gone, but it's still probably best that I didn't. At least I was sleepy when I hit the sack. I likely would have been wired after Falz - delaying sleep by at least another hour. Definitely going to have to be an early night tonight.

As for grants, yeah, I plan on stacking light resist the next time I go. My current frame already gives me 20% more than I had back then, but every bit helps.

No problem! Was a great day of hunting. My general strategy towards the end of that Falz fight was to not revive you until he started soul-stealing me. That way we could get another few hits in on him.

Also, I think you're right - Light Resist would be better.

I think the best quest for Del Rappies is the Max Attack 3 in EpIV, because it starts you off with a few waves of something like 10 rappies. You can do just that part, and then end the quest and repeat over and over.

Nevermind. Del rappy, Al rappy, blue rappy, love rappy... Never get the one right. I knew about Max3, just checked the drop chart and heavenly/luck looks cool to farm too.

I guess I'll start with god/arm in VH mines tonight before seeing Gallon for those add slots. Never made a PD deal with Gallon before.
Oh and those caves gvt quests if someone show up.

Remember - most Rappies are cute. Except Del Rappy. It's a terror from space that spawns lucid night terrors. That thing creeps me the hell out.

I regret nothing!!! :p
After all that I went on to do goverment quest 2-3 figuring it'd be a good way to wind down for the night before going to bed and I was basically nodding off the entire time. At several points I'd be walking down a corridor then suddenly snap awake to realise I'd started dozing and veered off into walking against the wall XD

Yeah, after the first grants flat out killed me from full health i just tried to run to one of you two whenever it was coming so I'd be nearby when I keeled over. That said, I was pleasantly surprised that you could attack soul-linked DF without doing all that much damage to me or yourself

Oh and those caves gvt quests if someone show up.
Ooh! you're doing caves gvt quests? I'm on 2-4 and caves is boring so I might try and catch you at some point XD

Yesterday I got a Fire Scepter: Agni while passing time in the Mines, and today while slowly crawling through Forest while at work, a Hildeblue spawns and drops an Ice Staff: Dagon. Almost have the trio collected while just wasting time lol..

So Dimenian
[Extermination] Endless Nightmare #4 Ruins 1 (37)

This requires 2+ people to open the door in the 3rd room from start, so it misleads players to thinking they can solo farm it
Seek my Master solo quest is a good alternative for 24 spawns

That's how I got my spread needle

Xion_Stellar

People should stop referencing data that makes me feel uncomfortable because games get ported to platforms I don't like
I will be editing this once I get home since this was a rush job I did while I had some free time at work and as far as the information goes some of it may be outdated or simply doesn't apply on this Server because of changes between servers and stuff for example IIRC Festivity On The Beach was a GameCube Exclusive Quests so I don't know if it's on Tethealla's server software or not since other servers had no qualms with importing GameCube/XBOX/V2 Exclusive Quests.

If anyone else runs into any other inconsistencies or errors in my guides let me know.

As for your inquiry unless it requires 2 players to open a door too than Mop Up #4 would be a better alternative to Seek My Master since Seek My Master only has a total of 24 La Dimenian and 4 So Dimenian while Mop Up #4 has 27 La Dimenian and 33 So Dimenian.

As for your inquiry unless it requires 2 players to open a door too than Mop Up #4 would be a better alternative to Seek My Master since Seek My Master only has a total of 24 La Dimenian and 4 So Dimenian while Mop Up #4 has 27 La Dimenian and 33 So Dimenian.

ah ok then, I was targetting specifically La Dimenian's, not So Dims. :p

Maybe we can do collaborative input if we find 2+ group req's, not sure if people would appreciate it as much given our playerbase size
Just nice to know if we are unable to solo farm or not for some farm routes

I have fallen into that dangerous old trap of alt-oholism!

Have 5 characters as of right now that I kinda want to play... I'm sure 3 more aren't too far away from conception. They all have elements that interest me.

It's distracting me from making much progress with any one character in the limited time I have to play the game right now. I fully intend to just have fun and enjoy whichever character I play, but wish I liked fewer class/race combos so my decision on which to focus would be easier.

You're contradicting yourself there.....you like the choices the game gives you but you don't like that it gives the choice because your indecisive on which one to play as so the only thing I can tell you is that like you said just pick a random one and enjoy the game.

I don't see it as a contradiction.
I enjoy whichever class I hop on and play for a bit, but then I want to switch characters to enjoy parts of what another character offers. And I enjoy each as I play them.
I guess I envy those who only like one class in that they know what they want to play and can focus on that one character.

As an example, the one character I ever spent the most time on playing offline on Gamecube was a HUnewearl, she felt like she offered the best balance or being able to give a glmipse of almost everything that the game offers wrapped up in one character. I have a HUnewearl as one of the 5 characters so far, and you'd think that would be the answer now, but I find myself wanting to have something else as my main.

Roll the dice (proverbial or literal) and stick with a given character for a few dozen levels. Then see if you want to play something else. Chances are whatever you leveled up first will remain your "main" even if you do decide to play with an alt now and then. Constantly rotating in the same level bracket, however, will be a never ending spiral. It will also leave you in a situation where grouping is harder as you'll consistently be at a lower level than virtually everybody else. There's just not enough time in the day to keep up with that many characters - even with running in non-stop TTFs.

I did some great runs with Asami today.
Well just stick with one for now and you're not the only one with this problem....I have 3 characters who I played with equally ( all 3 in their 40s) and I seen other players with many alts in this server (veldin,HUmarley and FOnewearl off the top of my head). The game actively encourages to make new characters just because of the Section ID drops so it's not a bad thing to start anew.

Ichi/Asami here. Thanks Xion for the runs today, and thanks Jemma and Lyriam for earlier too. It is weird and wonderful to be playing this game again. My favourite online game of all time, and in spite of coming from PSO2 the community feel of this eclipses anything else.

I've been doing forest of sorrows to farm bears, never knew rappy's holiday had 75! (x.x)

Yes I vaguely read about it weeks ago. But the true question is, does the stamps and stuff save over several playthrough? Points does if you talk to the guild girls. I just hope we can access F2 rapidly.

Eep! I fear I've messed up the monster parts quest. I did Dr Osto's research and couldn't get Montague to convert anything before realising I'd not done Doc's Secret Plan. I've gone back and done it now but I don't know if that'll allow me to use him in unsealed door or not :s

No worries. I really need to try PSO2 some time, partly as a PSO fan in general and also from a design curiosity standpoint.

PSO's structure is pretty interesting socially: the lobbies act as an easy access point for gathering together, much like the IRC-style lobbies used in other games but due to actually being played via your character in a physical space it feels much more personable. Pioneer 2 also acts as a nice in-game hub for you to gather your wits, prepare and ready up with whoever you're playing with and the context of your 'group' being defined by the game means it's low committal too :3

I feel like PSU didn't understand this and made a lot of mistakes. They force you to group up before starting a game and the groups persist beyond the game so you're kind of committed in a way PSO never asked of you and it leaves less opportunity for mixing with others once you start. You also have to ready up in the public area so instead of having that peaceful area just between you and your team-members to decide and equip, you're trying to do that before you even enter the game in the hustle and bustle of the cities, with lots of distractions.
On the topic of the public areas, PSU also spread them out everywhere, making meeting up with people less convienent and even included some mid-mission areas. On paper this is interesting because it means if people leave groups then the various incomplete parties get an opportunity to recruit from one another to replenish their numbers when they hit one of these mid-mission public areas, but in practice they were often dead, killed the flow of the adventure and felt empty beyond just the lack of players. I also feel one of the big draws for me in PSO is the untimed nature of a lot of it (e.g. free runs) where as PSU broke it all down into timed and ranked missions which instead of a chilled social atmosphere bred a more furiously efficient tone where there was no time to chat. I know they patched up PSU a lot over the years to tackle some of the misgivings people had but I'm afraid I didn't hang about for those :p

In many ways I'd love to see if PSO2 learned from this but that'll have to wait until either Sega does a proper english release (hahahaha!) or I jump through the hoops to play it elsewhere :p

I loved PSO2 on release, it had a lot of the qualities I liked from PSO1, as were address in your post. But over the years it turned into something completely different and I'm not sure it was for the best.

One of the best things about PSO2, for me, is running into big groups of people and killing stuff. First dropping into a zone and seeing lots of numbers in the distances while lots of emergence codes(EC) marked on the map felt like stuff was really happening and as the mob of players became bigger, more monsters would spawn, more EC would happen, more Bursts happened, LOOT EVERYWHERE! I'M BLINDED BY ALL THIS STUFF ON THE FLOORS, LIGHTS IN THE SKY IT NEVER ENDS!!!!!! It was great and a good place to finish a lot of 'kill x' quests or just hang. While you couldn't understand anything the other players were saying most of the time, you still felt a part of the group as everyone was riding this train together, leveling together. It was similar to how I felt in PSO1 joining a group and playing a few runs together before parting ways.

But that all changed once they started to add stuff, lots of stuff. Extreme quests, advance quests, Time attacks, Casino area, Team rooms, lots more free areas. There were just so many different things for players to do in separate areas from the main free areas and these extra activities were required for more advanced items and quests or to gain money(In the case of Time attacks). Free quests just weren't that good anymore and soon it became just AFK'ing as you waited for the next emergency quest to happen to level your character or hunt for that new 11/12/13* weapon.

One of the only activities that still brings everyone together, the Emergency Quests(EQ), soon were flooded with options that split people up again, this was fixed later on by have a set time(Instead of randomly every hour) for EQ to happen and limiting which ones appear during that period of time, focusing the players into bigger groups once again. Some of the EQs were just 10 second speed runs with no time for interaction or a feeling of togetherness but others like abduction missions and Base Defense were a lot better in that department, they're also the ones I enjoy the most.

There are other things in PSO2 that turned me off to it but the loss of big free area parties hit me the hardest. I no longer felt a part of the bigger PSO2 community, I instead felt like I was grinding a single player ARPG and my class sucked.

PSO2 is fun, but I feel like too many players are soloists. It doesn't help that you can bring robot AI to act as a crutch, nor that the game is Japanese, fracturing the player-base. Neither of those things stop you having a good time, it's just enough to influence the populace. The combat is wicked fun and the frantic events of things like EQ's is a sight to behold.

I've been doing the VHard dubchics in EndNight 3 and they are as*****s.
More than 330 killed when the drop rate is 1/214. Still nothing.

Nobody said those God/Arms would be easy to drop but DON'T GIVE UP!

I like PSO2 for the most part, but my biggest gripe has been that I really miss the sense of progression through the levels from PSO and PSU. Every area is wide open with (for the most part) no locked doors and infinite monster spawns. I don't like how optional fighting mobs feels. I also wish the combat was a little slower and more deliberate, but I like the game overall.

Yes, Never Give Up!!.

Probability sucks. 330 trials falls just short of an 80% success rate.

I just got off the back of a similar hunt for an Ano Bazooka (felt it was better done sooner rather than later given it is normal difficulty Ep IV). There are not many rocket launcher weapons and they're pretty good vs the Dragon and De rol le (as it can actually hit the thing while it is moving) but otherwise unnecessary. Of course after all that it turns out I don't quite meet the ATA requirements to use it yet.

Thanks guys but seriously, do I need to hit the chics before? I checked online and it seems not, only if I want XP.
But they drop nothing but nothing or mesetas. Weird.
Or do I need to wait for the switch to come down and be open before killing it?

Unless you absolutely MUST have it before Ultimate Mode than your better off just getting it as Government Quest Reward with 50% Hit.

lol I actually got the Ano Bazooka without looking for it while playing with bennywhatever/FOODFOOD.

Re guys; I'm convinced I need to do more now. Like killing at least one of them for him to be in Terminator mode, and/or the switch to be down. I don' tknow if the switch going down is related to the terminator mode or just a timer.
I also don't know if I need them all to be terminator mode.

What I know is that when one of them is terminator mode, and/or the switch down before I kill it, they (or just the one terminator) starts to drop something else than mesetas. Like dimate and weapons (nothing like god/arm yet). Took me nearly 400 kills to see that.

In the mean time, I got 3 proto regen gear, which are 1/400 from the 10 gillchics I see here. And two Agito, 1/110 from the 2 sinow golds. All that against 1/210 for the 12 dudchic or dullchic.

All I've read online is just kill the switch, period, but I say no to it now.
30 useless runs, 15 more to go lol

Well that's clearly a bug but I will check it out once I get to that point because I finally got to VH Mode last night so that means I'm finally going to be doing those Side Quest.

Don't fret too much over it N.A we know PSOBB isn't the one and only game in the planet so taking an extended break from isn't uncommon and I plan to do the same thing in November once Fallout 4 comes out.
