That's fantastic but oh my god, please guys stop blowing on your cartridges. You should know better than to do that.
The likelihood that the amount of moisture in your breath will damage connectors is so minuscule it's not even worth mentioning. I've had games that I've blown in since 1985 that still look brand new and have 0 signs of corrosion. Bit rot is the only thing that should concern anyone about old carts.
I have Mighty Final Fight on GBA Capcom Classics Mini Mix. Are there any notable differences between the two?I played Mighty Final Fight literally all evening last night. Cody and Guy are so much better than Haggar; it's not even right. They give him an initial Exp boost, his attacks do double or triple damage, and still quicker enemies rope-a-dope him. Guy is definitely the most fun to play as, though Cody is well-rounded for breezing through the game on one credit.
Man, that pic puts a happy smile on my face. Especially dat Arkanoid!![]()
Today I hit 90 boxed games. Bigger
First time I got them all together in one place.
Picked up Chip n dale, Little Nemo, Popeye, Darkman, Mousecapades and Bugs Bunny today for about $60.
Apart from the screen aspect being slightly squished, no. Mini Mix was how I had been playing it for quite some time. I just don't have a GB Player and wanted to play it on a regular TV (my eyes aren't super happy with handhelds anymore).I have Mighty Final Fight on GBA Capcom Classics Mini Mix. I come to you good folk with a question; what's the word on these combo systems out there? The Duo(Super NES/NES) as well as the ones that have the same capabilities as the Duo plus the ability to play Genesis games as well? I wanna pick one of these up to play these NES games, but I also wouldn't mind getting one that can play Super NES and Genesis as well!

I think that may take years, between the people that grew up with NES/SNES now being in their 30s and earning decent paychecks, and highly watched Youtubers such as the AVGN constantly getting the word out about good/bad games.Ill be glad when this fad of buying retro games is over.
So I can go back to finding carts for a decent price.

Though if VG price charts is any indication, the climb that began in November 2011 might have finally plateaued....
(Plus, people are finally realizing today's "modern" games mostly suck...)
Someone traded in Little Samson in at our store. Couldn't believe itWay too expensive for my blood though.
Hypothetically if you were there when the trade was about to happen...could you just buy it off the customer if they would be ok with whatever the store was giving them store credit, except you'd give them the same amount in cash?
Out of curiosity, how much did the store purchase it for and how much did they end up selling it (cart only?)?It's against store policy. It sold today in no time though.

Your store is cool. If I go by recent completed eBay listings, the game seems to have reached the $700 (!) plateau as of late.
Thanks. Guess I'll have to bust out the GB Player and check out the hub-bub.Apart from the screen aspect being slightly squished, no. Mini Mix was how I had been playing it for quite some time. hmm...what you got? and you looking for controllers and stuff or just games? i gotta check but offhand my stuff is mostly revenge of shinobi, mario paint and pretty well known stuff, you got any particular wants in mind? i can look around!
- 2 NES (1 great, 1 cracked/kinda yellow...), all cables & controller
- 2 model 1 Genesis: 1 regular, 1 modded for s-video & stereo
- other stuff, like a 20 GB 360 i can't get working past the boot-up
!
Mostly games probably. I really don't have much on snes so anything good there I'd be interested in. Genesis I'm just looking for good stuff really. Shinobi 3, SoR3, Castlevania, stuff like that. From the list up there I have mega man 3, snakes revenge, star tropics 2, and little nemo. For something worth more than those I'd throw in cash as well. If nothing else, I'd trade something for the bubble bobble.
Interested in that great condition NES man.....I see that from your list I do have Mega Man 3, and would consider trading it for sure. Get at me via PM!![]()
Looking for some advice here.
I just bought a top loading NES as my old front-loader wasn't working all that great. My problem with the top-loader is that sometimes it works great but I seem to have a lot of problems getting games to start. Most of the time when I put a game in and turn the system on, I just get a grey screen. I can sometimes get the game to work by turning the system on and off a few times but that seems random. Even when a game works, if i take it out and try a different one, it won't work again when I put the first game back in. I just get a blank grey screen.
Are my games just dirty? Could something else on the system be defective? I've cleaned my games with alchohol and a q-tip but it doesn't seem to help.
edit: Ok, it might just be that my Zelda 2 is defective because it's the only game I can't seem to get working at all. The others will give the grey screen once or twice after cleaning them but will typically work after that.
edit 2: I cleaned everything again and got it working. Seems to be working more consistently now. I guess my stuff was just really dirty.
wasn't one of you looking for mega man 6?
sounds good man...ill put up bubble bobble and see what else i got (especially SNES) to try to get your snakes revenge and little nemo, maybe tropics 2 if i find enough!
sounds good, the shipping for console + cords + controller id have to estimate, but yeah do you have MM3 + say one of the cheaper ones on that list? i gotta ask, man!
