The Mind of a chef is a pretty good series. 16 23 min episodes. Where chef David Chang explores food and topics. He has a pretty enjoyable personality and I enjoyed the series. Wonder if/when Season 2 will be brought

I will check it out. I have been itching for something to replace Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations since it was taken down.

I cant believe there is still people that dont know about Netflix contracts and how Netflix shuffles content. See:Netflix getting rid of 80 movies on Jan 1st. Someone should post a list of whats coming in as well.

People just like to bitch.

Frances Ha was surprisingly great. For a film that I almost automatically dismissed due to its slightly over the top artsy feel, I turned out really enjoying it. Recommended.

It's an endearing movie. I thought it was good for an "indie" film but my girlfriend absolutely loves it. Having a similar relationship with her best friend when they were growing up probably has something to do with it.

I finally got around to watching Troll 2 after watching Best Worst Movie. I give them both 9 out of 10 Garys*

Troll 2 is due to disappear on Jan 1st, until next time (whenever that may be).

*Garys are the new universal standard in scoring systema to be introduced in early 2014.

So I've been digging X-Files. Are any of the UFO documentaries any good?

UFOs: The Secret History and Out of the Blue are about as good UFO doc's on Netflix. There is also UFO Conspiracy, but it takes a really weird turn and I never finished it.

Just watched Jack Reacher on region canada netflix and really liked it. Anything else similar on netflix?

I managed to finish The Long Goodbye just in time. I was actually able to keep watching it past midnight (their time). Guess that answers my question from a while back about what happens when something you are watching expires.

Didn't like the middlewest accents or the plot of the movie?

Both really. Well, the accents were fine but it was just the constant use of "yah".

The plot was good enough and it being a true story is pretty crazy but I just felt it wasn't executed as well as it could be. The dialogue is so important in films like this and it just wasn't right in my opinion.

Holy hell! Narc was added! Everyone needs to see this. Along with The Game, I think its one of the must underrated movies of the past 20 years.

Holy shit! Good Burger is getting added! :p

The Keep was just added. It's a pretty decent horror flick. Worth a shot.

Probably has one of the most inappropriate soundtracks I have seen in a movie. I love Tangerine Dream, but some of the music felt so out of place.
Like during that rape scene
I should watch the movie again though and am glad they added it.

This poster pulses with an appeal so broad the typical restraints of our societies fall by the wayside.
Thanks as always for the updates, GK.

Happy to see Sex Drive on there — kind of a guilty-pleasure, and better than I expected it to be. Will watch again.

You are most welcome dude.

I liked Sex Drive when I saw it a few years back. It wasn't overly funny, but I enjoyed it. Probably would also re-watch it.

I watched Out of the Wild: The Great Alaska Experiment. I really liked it. Think of it like Survivor without the competition. Nine people are dropped in a remote part of the Alaskan wilderness and have to find civilization. Like I mentioned, there is no competition. Nobody is voted off. There isn't a prize when they finish. At any point, for whatever reason, any one of them can call it quits and be rescued.

The majority of the people are likeable. Out of the nine, I think I couldn't stand one of the people. Through the course of the show you get to see the mental and emotional hurdles they face. They also show them killing quite a few animals, so if you are squeamish when it comes to blood and guts, might want to stay clear.

I started the next one, Out of the Wild: Venezuela, but so far I'm not liking the individuals as much.
