So damn close. Netflix is trying to break up couples in the US.
Gotta rewatch s1

I'm planning on rewatching it soon. Then again with the commentary.

yessss...perfect for valentine's day

Lol not for me. My gf doesn't like the show.

"Forget going out honey, let's stay in and marathon season 2."

"Babe, I can't go out tonight. I think I caught that bug that is going around. No, no, don't come over. I don't want you to catch it. I will just go to sleep for 14 hours and hit you hit after I'm done with HoC...err when I wake up."

What's up with The Croods being on Netflix but no other Dreamworks movie?

I think they will increase the number this year. I know Turbo, Kung Fu Panda and Peabody & Sherman are suppose to hit.

Whatsnewonnetflix hasn't posted an update for the US in two days. I'm getting worried.

Yeah, noticed that too. I have been using the Regions link in the OP.

Netflix is smart to release House of Cards on Valentine's Day. A lot of people stay home that day because they're single and don't feel like going out, so what better way to spend your time than watching House of Cards?

My gf isn't coming into town until Saturday so I'll probably watch a few episodes on Friday.

Also yay Serpico! I was meaning to watch that before they took it off.

Ditto. Well, at least rewatch it with the commentary, as I watched the BBC House of Cards just a few months ago. I'm a sucker for a good commentary track. Has anyone listened to that yet?

It's kind of strange that they don't have the Turbo film yet, considering the fact that their first Netflix Original children's series is based on it.

Me too! I'm glad they added it back.

It's kind of strange that they don't have the Turbo film yet, considering the fact that their first Netflix Original children's series is based on it.

They probably wanted the Xmas shopping money from DVD/BR's sales.

About to watch Soldiers of Paint: Although Paintball interests me very little a reenactment of Normandy in a paintball battle seems interesting to me.

Did you end up watching it? Was browsing and the description caught my eye.

Yeah, it was decent enough. The way the owners has it set up wasnt what I had in mind for it though. Still 4k paintballers on a sq mile plot is crazy

Recent kick of social issue docs

Its a Girl : about gendercide, so hard to get my head around what they do and without emotion.

H.O.T Human Organ Traffic : The amount of amount of money they were willing to accept and still end up getting screwed over was a downer

Of Two Minds : talks with a few people and their struggles with bipolar, solid movie

So Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters, what a pleasent surprise. Typicallly something below 40 percent on rotten tomatoes I tend to avoid or I watch the film and agree that yeah that movie deserved to be panned.

Not the case with this movie. It is very self aware, and never gets so dumb as to be not compelling. If the Evil Dead franchise was its own genre, this falls right into that category.

It is quick and just really fun. Of the Fairy Tale live action craze of the last few years including the two Snow White Films, Jack and the beanstalk, the little red riding hood movie and that Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter dud, this is by far the most fun. Good stuff.

As someone suggested, I watched "Love/Hate". Very interesting series. I had to turn on subtitles to get everything the characters were saying when they slipped into that Dublin accent. But a good story so far, I'm on the 4th episode.

Modern-day underworld characters Nidge and John Boy wrestle for control of Dublin's illicit drug trade in this forceful crime drama that takes off as Darren returns to Ireland from Spain, only to see his brother Robbie killed in a drive-by shooting.

Pandora's Promise is an interesting documentary that breaks down the anti-nuclear myths surrounding nuclear technology.

It makes the anti-nuclear protestors look like uneducated religious zealots, while simultaneously presenting advanced nuclear tech as the solution to our energy crisis.

It's the best Grimm-sploitation movie I've ever seen. Better than Brothers Grimm and Van Helsing. Can't wait for the sequel.

Fuck yeah, Queer As Folk! I've been waiting for them to add that since The L Word went up. Great that I'll finally be able to finish Bates Motel as well, I think I fell off somewhere in the back end. What I watched was pretty good though.

That was insane. It looks like something I would love to go to and play in. The documentary was alright. The highlights of course being the war battle scenes. But I don't know why producers put the film through those god awful filters. Kinda took away from the doc for me.

If no one else has seen it, you need to watch Heartbreakers. A really dark and mean comedy, and damn hilarious. It is from former Simpsons glory days writers, and is one of the most mean spirited comedies out there. Very reminiscent of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels in that regard.

The Last Stand was a completely brainless yet entertaining ad for Chevy cars. Just wish Arnie got more screen time -- too much Forrest Whitaker.

I watched this movie a year or so ago. I had no idea it was from writers of the Simpsons, but yeah, it was very funny.

Speaking of brainless ads, I watched the new Red Dawn last night. It had the most awkward, in your face product placement ever for Subway. In the middle of raiding a North Korean controlled city the kids take time out to raid a Subway (with the most colossal Subway signs I've ever seen all over the place) and ask "the sandwich artist" .. yes they called them that .. for some of that good bread, honey oat, italian, and some meats. Meanwhile in this overtaken city this Subway is completely filled with beautiful people all eating full, huge sandwiches and of course all have their cups pointed towards the camera.

Glad you both liked it. It is shocking that Jennifer Love Hewitt did a decent job acting in it (besides being eye candy), but of course with that cast surrounding her, her acting was sure to elevate. And it is always great to see Gene Hackman do comedy.

I think my favorite bit with Hackman was when
his maid is being arrested, and he slips cash to the cop and says "Try to slap her around a little."

And the director was a Simpsons guy at least. The screenwriters were not, but still a strong Simpsons connection.
