Netflix |OT| Where Binge Watching is Encouraged

I enjoyed American Horror Story Season 1, it's a shame Season 2 wasn't as good. Not sure I feel like seeing any more now, I would have been very happy with it just being a single Season.

Didn't even know there were nine. Netflix needs to add the rest then.

Let´s pretend that the 9th movie never happened. It´s horrible, it was made in just a few weeks just so they wouldn´t lose the Hellraiser license and it was only released in one theater.
Even Doug Bradley said no to the movie and he had not problem on being on the bad Hellraiser: Deader and Hellraiser: Hellworld.
They need to add Inferno to Netflix, always enjoyed that one despite it being a completely different movie from all the other Hellraisers.

I thought they all were. I watched them all on Netflix last year so I suppose they lost the licenses to a few of them. To the person who said Inferno is a good movie, if you're talking about the fifth movie, then I definitely agree. I was surprised how good it was even the main guy was super annoying. Very Silent Hill, Jacob's Ladder feel to that movie. I can't decide whether the eight or ninth is worse. The eigth one has Superman getting a really creepy blowjob, the ninth one has...well...nothing but it was short so that's a plus in some way I guess.

EDIT: Yea, I just checked. All 9 are still there on the US Netflix.

^Excellent. I was trying to get through all of them late last year (around Halloween time mostly). I think I stopped at number 4.

The special effects is always what made me love the films. I don't remember much after the 3rd movie. Haven't seen them since my childhood.

Anyone watched Hemlock grove? Never made the end of S1, is S2 better?

I'm halfway through season two. It's a lot better than season one so far. I didn't really mind season one though so YMMV.

And...hell yeah at all of the Hellraisers being up. It's time to marathon them again.

Holy shit. The Immigrant is on U.S. Netflix. Is this unprecedented? Still in theaters and not on Amazon, iTunes, etc for purchase.

Also, The Master got added. Both great films.

Anyone else having troubles with PS4 app today? It throws me a message any time I try to play any content: "We're having trouble with this content right now try again later or try another content "

Works fine on my Mac and my iPad tough. Anyone?

EDIT: I uninstalled it and reinstalled it again and now works... weird.

Giving hemlock Grove another go, only made it to episode 3 last time. This was also when I first got netflix though, so many options back then lol.

I watched homefront the other day, I thought it was pretty enjoyable as an escapist fantasy. It's a weird film - it's sort of like Jason Statham wandered onto the set of Out of the Furnace and just did his shtick.

Watched Pain and Gain, and then Paranoia yesterday.

Pain and Gain was entertaining. I'm a big fan of Marky Mark and Dwayne Johnson. I thought it was pretty funny and entertaining.

Paranoia was ok I guess. A lot of things that happened were pretty obvious, but it was an alright story nonetheless.

I think I might try to find a series to watch soon. I've been in need of something ever since Game of Thrones and Da Vincis Demons ended like a month ago.

Watching trough Battlestar Gallactica for the first time. I'm on episode 7. Loving it so far. What a well acted cast this series has.

I'm watching it through for the first time with my girlfriend. Surprisingly, we both love it (she's usually not that into sci-fi though loves movies and TV shows "that show the characters going to different planets"). Fantastic show. Can't believe Edward James Olmos was never nominated for an Emmy.

Avoid Oldboy ('13). What a shitty waste of time that movie was.

My wife and I also really enjoyed it. And she not only hates scifi, but tv shows in general. She was embarrassed when I told people about how we were watching it lol. But in private, she loved it.

In other news, we've been watching Scandal. I think it's too predictable and the main character is laughable. Always wearing white, always on the verge of tears. She loves it. She met the real woman who worked for George Bush at a conference. Evidently, the first thing the lady said was SPOILERS
No, I did not sleep with the president

BSG is a fantastic character and military drama. It just happens to take place in space. I am so glad you and your gf are loving it. It is a shame that there a lot of people will never give it a chance just because of sci fi.

Finished Hemlock Grove season two. It's better than season one. No filler episodes this season and a lot more action/supernatural stuff going on.

Good to hear. I think I will start it up after I finish OitNB S2. Which has been great. Better than S1 (not to say S1 was bad, I loved it). If you enjoyed the first season, you will be right at home with S2.

I came across that online hoax story about OITNB Season 3 being canceled and I was about to throw some coconuts till I found out it was fake.

Agreed. What a stunning performance.

Trailers should be standard.

Would love that.
Yea would be great.

Extension isn't perfect. Thinks the new Carrie is the old one.

I just watched the new one and I knew it was gonna get crazy but DAMN that was brutal. Overall it was average. Nothing amazing. Pretty sad story really. Some really silly avoidable things though.

I finished Orange is the New Black S2. It was just as good as the first season. I really liked a lot of the story lines they introduced and they kept on with some of the good ones.

The only thing I don't like is
that they're setting up season three to be based on Piper versus Alex and I'm sure it will lead to Alex doing something that lands Piper an extended sentence. Actually I could do without Piper and Alex in general.

Also, how does Boo get 36 prison bitch points? Who in the hell would actually fuck her? Nykki I see. Boo...not so much.

Just finished the season. I thought it surpassed season one. The new characters were good, but I thought Vee especially was amazing. An excellent
villain and loved the rise and fall of hers.

I was happy when
Fig was finally taken down. Been waiting for that to happen for awhile.

I don't mind the
potential for an Alex vs Piper situation. I have faith they will put together another great season/story.

The only thing I didn't like was
the ending with Rosa killing Vee. I don't mind that she killed her, but just the way it was done. Also, not enough pornstache. I was hyped when he came back. Only to have it taken away from me.

The actresses (and actors) were fantastic. Uzo (Crazy Eyes), Laverne (Sophia), and Natasha (Nicky) are all deserving of taking home an Emmy.

Vee was great. I was actively rooting against her while watching, which is a sign she's doing her job well.

The 'Top Picks for...' bit is really odd and rarely makes sense. I've watched a Hellraiser movie every night this week, you'd think it'd recommend the next one in the series... but no. Just a bunch of Netflix Original Content, and latest releases.

I'm guessing it just recommends whatever Netflix has paid the most money for you, and it's not personalised to your tastes at all.

The master was... well not as good as other PTA movies.

I just couldn't connect with the characters. Amazing acting by everyone but the story just seemed way less engaging than movies like there will be blood or punch drunk love.

I can't even describe why. Freddie was just a horrible dick and unlikable dude.

Holy shit The Master has been added! There Will Be Blood is probably my favorite movie of all time, and I'm a huge PTA fan, so I can't wait to watch it this weekend when I have a good three hours or so.

Can't wait.

I kind of made the mistake and watched it over three nights. My opinion might change when I see it again as a whole.

Still love PTA and can't wait for Infinite Vice or whatever it's called. I think Punch Drunk Love is my favorite of his and I'm really surprised looking back because I wouldn't have expected that.

Yeah, I've done that with Tree of Life. I've watched it to many times but always fall asleep for various reasons and it has almost ruined it for me whereas almost everyone seems to love it. The fact I never sat down and just watched it from start to finish probably ruined the movie for me.

With The Master, I'm grabbing some popcorn and going to hopefully enjoy the ride. I'm also a huge Joaqiun Phoenix fan so I can't wait.

He's amazing, he just plays a horrible person. He does his job so well I think that might be why I'm not the biggest fan of the movie.

Without much spoilers you're talking about Phoenix' character?

Daniel Plainview was a dick and unlikable guy but still one of the most interesting characters in movie history IMO.

Yeah.

And I think Plainview was a dick but I understood why. I sympathized with his character. Freddie less so. He's more an opaque character where its hard to get into his head. I think its intentional though. (now that I think about it has PTA ever had a genuinely good guy as a main character?)

I will definitely re-watch it, it well worth the time. Its still a great movie
