Nothing specific really, but heavy actions films always works for some easy fun. Horror in space would be good too, can't really think of anything outside of Alien.

Watched Rocky III and Filth (2013) this weekend.

Rocky III was hilarious, it was ages since I've seen it and this time it was pure comedy gold.
Micky who was looking like he was about to have a heart-attack in every scene he was in, Mr. T who can't act at all, and the Eye of the Tiger references all the movie long, yep, very entertaining haha.

And Filth was ok, the book is a whole lot more fun though.

Finally got around to watching Sharnado.


It's what I expected from a SyFy feature film, and I can see why there is a ton of hype and praise around it. Can't wait for Sharknado 2 to land on Netflix.

Rocky III is fucking awesome. It is cheesy as hell, but that is what makes it truly great. Eye of the Tiger, man. Eye of the Tiger.

And Clubber Lang was the best villain from that series. You just hated the bastard, and when that final bout comes up it is glorious once Rocky starts unloading on him.

Dammit. I need to go watch it now.

Oh, and all this talk of Rocky III and no love for Thunder Lips? For shame!

Just noticed that my Netflix has stopped displaying specific micro genres and are just displaying basic comedy / action / drama etc.. Anyone know how to fix this?

Sharknado 2 was decidedly less fun and entertaining than Sharknado. I had a blast with the first one but, couldn't make it through the second one.

I was looking forward to Mad Max being added to see why it is such a cult classic...that movie is fucking terrible. Is there a sequel that's well revered because I can't believe that's the movie that has gotten such fanfare over the years?

Grave Encounters is a very enjoyable shaky cam movie. Its made to be in the style of one of the ghost hunting shows.

Nice late night watch.

Mad Max is pretty bad until right near the end. But Toecutter is great. Road Warrior is where the true greatness comes in. That one is the true classic of the series, and still thrilling. That final chase sequence is still aces.
